B.Tech. in Electrical Engineering - Batch of 2016
3.2
Eco friendly college, have good infrastructure and facilities. Thinking for the good of students.
Placements: There were very good placements at one time. Now a days as per the engineering market, it has decreased. Mainly IT companies come to the campus, Like TCS, CTS, Wipro, etc. Training and placement officer manages the placement cell. Pass-out students also help current students.
Infrastructure: Classrooms, Lab rooms, Library are sufficient as per norms. Wi-fi systems also installed on the campus, but it not fully covered and data speed is also not good. The quality of labs and classrooms are good, but not maintenance. There is canteen in the college campus, the quality of food is good, but not delicious. The boys hostel rooms are good, but not the campus area, two girls hostels are in the campus area. Overall good in condition.
Faculty: The teachers are very helpful, qualified and knowledgeable but not sufficient as per faculty. IT, CE, ME, CE, ECE & Electrical Engineering have very good faculty. They teach very carefully, they think for the good of the students. Very helpful all the time. They have good practical industrial knowledge.
Other: Every year fest, sports are held in campus play ground by the students body.

Faculty are very good. Placements are not good in 2017. The infrastructure is average.
Placements: I am pursuing B.Tech in electrical engineering from our college. Placements provided by our college are average, and they are neither good nor bad. The college didn't provide any placement opportunities for the previous batch. When I was in the 3rd year, TCS visited our college to conduct placements, but all the companies which visited our college to hire students of our batch are from BPO sectors.
Infrastructure: The infrastructure of the college is not very good. The infrastructure resembles our home. The main gate of the college is good, but the classrooms are not much cleaned, and they are not properly designed. All the classrooms look similar, and they are not very much good. Even the condition of the seminar room is also not good.
Faculty: Faculty members of the college are good and friendly. The behaviour of the faculty is very good. Their way of teaching is good. The course curriculum (B.Tech) is very good. All other courses like hotel management and MBA are not very popular in our college.
Other: The college organises the annual fest and events like Swaraswati Puja, Viswakarma Puja, and they are very much enjoyable.

College is good, but the infrastructure is not good.
Placements: Our college doesn't offer better placements. The companies offer very low packages. The companies that visit our college for the placements are mainly the Consultancies or the BPO's. The package is Rs. 8000
Infrastructure: The college infrastructure is not good. It has an under-constructed building. The broken glass pieces are spread all over the campus. An Airforce camp is present nearby the college. It will be annoying, at the time of flight crossings. The ground of the college is also very much far from the main campus.
Faculty: Our college provides different faculty for the different departments. The equipment, they use for teaching is too old. Books in the library are of the outdated syllabus. They give us the right path for the sake of our feature.
Other: Our college organises various fests. We get oppurtunities to participate in the extra-curricular activity.

It is a money making college in Durgapur.
Placements: They also provide fake placements. Around 25 students out of the 500 get a fake placement, and I was one of them who got placed in such a fake company. Finally, when we went to join in some of such companies with a delayed joining, then some asked for the money, and some provide a helper level job. So finally, after completion of the course, every placed student also turned into unplaced. In our previous batch some students got placed at some MNCs, but at that time also, we heard fake placement news.
Infrastructure: The college has the worst faculty, tiny library, no strong management, medium campus, the lab doesn't get equipped with any high-cost devices and also there will be only one sport named cricket. There is also a good canteen facility, but who are in the hostel they will face some problems regarding the quality of food.
Faculty: My experience with the faculty is not much good as it has the worst faculty team. The management mainly hires the low wage faculty to save the money. They don't have any concern about the career of the students. But, the faculty are too much friendly, and the students to teacher ratio was about 25:1.
Other: One thing I want to share is that due to the placement issue, once we all went on strike for the 5 days, but that time the management convinced us to fill out the strike by promising that they will bring the company, but they didn't keep their promise. This was a type of the betrayal of the students, just playing with their emotions.

Don't even think to take an admission here.
Placements: We take admission in this college only after seeing that the seniors are getting placed. But it turns out that we get the fake companies which are a ridiculous experience for me. Only 2% students got placed, and that includes the fake companies. The highest and the lowest packages offered were the same at Rs. 1.5 lakhs/annum because only two companies came and offered that. We are selected because we told them that we could take the risk and can ride the bikes.
Infrastructure: No Wi-Fi is provided on the entire campus. The campus is too small and you can not enter after 7 PM, not even in the canteen. The labs were not up to the date, no electrical or computer labs were perfect. The food in the canteen was good but not cheap. The hostel was fine but the warden was not good, and the sports are not permissible.
Faculty: Some faculty members were good, and some were even worse than the students. No PhD scholar was there, and only B.Tech holders are teaching the B.Tech students. The exam environment was not good as the quality concerns. The knowledgeable teachers were not there, and they are not down to the earth. Lots of assignments are provided, but no profitable internship was there.

Review of Aryabhatta Institute Of Engineering and management, Durgapur.
Placements: The college mostly has fake campus placements. Some genuine companies do come but again they select a very few and due to the college not completing the agreement between them and the company, they never let the candidates join. Around 10-12% of my immediate seniors were placed. In my batch, about 25% students were placed. The average salary for the seniors was 1.8 lakhs p.a. and for my batch, it was 2 lakhs p.a. The companies which come are mostly BPOs. No one ever got an internship.
Infrastructure: The labs are not good. The library is decent. Sports is by far the only good thing that happens there. The classrooms are not so good and the canteen food is bad. The hostel rooms are fine for boys but I have no idea about the girls' hostel. There were many infrastructure related problems. There is no Wi-fi.
Faculty: The college follows AICTE syllabus. Some faculty members are good and some don't even know what they are teaching. Most of them are there because they haven't found anything better. Their maximum qualification is M. Tech. The best teachers have left the college and management is in no mood to make any amendments. The lab assistants don't know how to maintain equipments. The faculty is helpful but that doesn't matter because they don't know how to teach. The student to faculty ratio is average. There is no industry exposure.
Other: You can join this college only if you want a degree and nothing else. There were multiple strikes conducted in the past years. They don't pay salaries to the employees. The management is irresponsible and TPO is not caring enough. Any faculty member or staff who tries to make things better are fired.
