Altera Institute Admission 2026: Courses, Eligibility and Selection

The eligibility criteria for Altera Institute for MBA is to qualify bachelors degree with at least 50% marks. The institute accepts entrance exams like CAT, XAT, NMAT and GMAT. Students have a valid national-level entrance exam scorecard can appear for the Aptitude Test conducted by Altera Institute periodically.

Altera Institute conducts ALNAT or Altera National Aptitude Test for admission to PGP in Applied Marketing. The exam evaluates the proficiency of candidates in areas such as Quantitative Aptitude, Logical Reasoning and Verbal Ability.

Personal Interview is the second stage of Altera Institute admission process. Aspirants who are selected have to go through the below two rounds of interview:

Case Discussion: Candidates are given a business case and asked to discuss with the mentor from the admission committee to show their analytical and problem-solving skills.

Direct Interaction: Aspirants then meet the founder or founding members. This round is conversational and focuses on past experiences, interests, ambitions and overall fit of candidates for the course.

Altera Institute offers MBA across several specialisations. The duration for MBA at Altera Institute is 2 years. The eligibility for MBA courses at Altera is graduation/ bachelor's degree in any stream with at least 50% and a valid score in CAT, NMAT, XAT, and GMAT. If the candidates do not appear in any of the former exams, they need to appear for the Altera Institute National Aptitude Test (ALNAT).

Candidates need to score at least 50% aggregate or equivalent in UG studies to apply for PGP at Altera Institute Gurgaon. The institute also accepts scores in CAT, NMAT, XAT & GMAT for admission. Aspirants without any of the accepted entrance exam scores need to appear for Altera Institute National Aptitude Test (ALNAT) after application submission.

Altera Institute has a non-refundable application fee of INR 1,499 for the early round and INR 1,999 for later rounds. The fee can be paid along with the application form.

Candidates have to follow the below 3 step process for admission in PGP Applied Marketing at Altera Institute:

Application Form: Candidates need to provide information regarding academic qualification and professional experiences and SOP. Aspirants have to pay INR 1,499 for early round and INR 1,999 for other rounds.

Assessment & Competitive Exams: Students need to have scores in CAT, NMAT, XAT or GMAT. Aspirants without scores in any of these entrance exams must appear for Altera National Aptitude Test (ALNAT).

Interview: Selected candidates are further called for interview round. The institute communicates interview schedule-date, time and venue in advance. 

Admission Decision: Admission Committee notify candidates about their decision based on application and interview. The details of scholarships are included in the offer letter.

Candidates have to pay a non-refundable application fees of INR 1,499 for early round. The application fees for later rounds is INR 1,999. The fees can be submitted while submitting the form on the official website of Altera Institute.

PGP deadline at Altera Institute for Early Entry admissions is 27th December 2025. Candidates who apply during the Early Entry admissions are required to pay only INR 1,499 as application fee to apply for PGP admissions at Altera Institute. Candidates applying in the remaining admission cycle are required to pay INR 1,999.
