At the PG level, the institute offers MSc in five specialisations. Additionally, SBB D Y Patil offers PhD in Biotechnology and Bioinformatics to research aspirants at the doctorate level.

As per the DY Patil School of Biotechnology and Bioinformatics BSc course curriculum, the course provides students with flexibility to enter or exit academic programme at various stages. The BSc course is offered as an honors degree in Biotechnology & Bioinformatics and honors degree with research in Biotechnology & Bioinformatics. The programme lasts for four years and comes with an exit option. After completing two semesters, candidates can exit the course with a Certificate (42 credits +4 credits Internship/Apprenticeship). As per the D Y Patil School of Biotechnology and Bioinformatics admission policy, the BSc qualification requires candidates to be either 17 years of age or attain the age at the time of admission. School of Biotechnology and Bioinformatics, D Y Patil University BSc admission process includes multiple steps such as application process, selection process, counselling process, final admission. Candidates must begin the admission process with the online application process, which is conducted in complete online mode. Fill out the form with all the required informationa and make a payment of INR 2,000 as an application fee. Once the application form is submitted, DY Patil College of Engineering Navi Mumbai will send an acknowledgment email which will explain how to check the status of the application.
