MHT CET CAP 2026: The Maharashtra State Common Entrance Test (CET) Cell has announced the revised dates for MHT CET 2026 CAP counselling for rounds 2, 3 and 4. The seat acceptance and college reporting dates for the CAP round 2 counselling has been extended by a day following a briefdelay in releasing the allotment results. Those who have been allotted a seat can take a decision on the allottment result by August 18, 3 PM. The institute reporting deadline for MHT CET round 2 counselling is August 18, 5 PM. The allotment is based on the candidate's merit rank, preferences filled and the availability of seats.

The MHT CET CAP or the Centralised Admission Process is conducted for admission to First Year BE/BTech and Integrated MTech courses. MHT CET exam and JEE Mains candidates who participate in the CAP process are allotted engineering seats in government, government-aided, university-managed, and private engineering colleges across Maharashtra.

MHT CET CAP 2026 Application Fee

The application fee depends on the candidate category. Candidates who registered for MHT CET 2026 are not required to pay the registration fee. Candidates applying through valid JEE Main or NEET UG scores without MHT CET registration must pay the applicable fee online.

MHT CET CAP 2026 Document Verification

Candidates can complete document verification through either of the following modes:

• E-Scrutiny: Under this mode, candidates upload their documents online. The verification is completed digitally, and there is no need to visit a Facilitation Centre. If any discrepancy is found, the application is returned for correction through the candidate login.
• Physical Scrutiny: Candidates choosing this mode must visit their selected Facilitation Centre with original documents. After verification, the application is confirmed and an acknowledgement receipt is issued.

The CET Cell has released the provisional and final merit lists. Candidates were allowed to submit grievances to the provisional merit list between July 23 and July 25. After reviewing all objections, the authorities released the final merit list on July 27, 2026. The merit list will be used for seat allotment in the CAP rounds.
