Selection is based on the marks obtained in the qualifying examination, Personal Interview and group discussion at Amrita School of Allied Health Sciences. However, the eligibility criteria for the programme is Medical / Dental / Nursing / AYUSH / Pharmacy / Physiotherapy / Biomedical engineering / Allied sciences / Veterinary Sciences / Life Sciences / Statistics / Biostatistics / Demography / Population sciences / Nutrition/Sociology / Psychology / Anthropology / Social work / Agriculture.

The curriculum design of the BSc course in Amrita School of Allied Health Sciences includes CBCS semester pattern, hence it is a six semester course. It is a choice-based credit system and follows a six-semester system whereby one can opt for the choice of electives in addition to the core subjects. Emphasis is given to hands-on practical learning along with theoretical classes. The curriculum integrates theoretical inputs with practical training on the latest technology and equipment that find applications in a real-world environment for career opportunities.

The university selection criteria is a mix of merit-based and entrance exam. For BSc courses the selection would be based on 50% seats via Amrita Entrance Examination (merit)/ 50% seats via Management quota. Similarly for MSc, MPH, MHA etc. courses, the selection would be merit-based/PI.

Amrita Institute of Allied Health Sciences does not offer direct admission for BSc Allied Health Sciences. Admission relies on eligibility criteria, an entrance exam, counseling/interview, and merit scores from the previous qualifying exam.
