IMB: A Full-Time Dual-Location Program

SDA Bocconi Asia Center’s International Master's in Business program is a 22-month program that allows candidates to choose to specialise in a field of their choice - Marketing, Human Resources, Operations, Finance, or Luxury. The program is taught by faculty from the parent campus in Milan, and by professors of the highest calibre in India. With a 4-month immersion in Milan, the International Master's in Business gives students the edge they need to build a global career. 

Comprehensive Curriculum and Syllabus

The IMB Program’s curriculum is broken down into 6 semesters, with each semester giving the candidates the tools they need to excel in their chosen field, network with industry leaders, and get resources to prove their mettle in the placement season.  The comprehensive curriculum spans 105 credits under the European Credit Transfer System (ECTS), bringing a balanced approach to foundational business disciplines and emerging topics:

The International Master in Business program has candidates from all academic backgrounds and work experience, from lawyers, to CAs, to teachers, and students come with up to 5 years of work experience. The current batch comprises 391 students with 55% female representation and an average age of 25. 

The batch reflects what this program has to offer: a well-rounded education. Students lend their experience and expertise to classrooms, enriching discussions with varied perspectives. More than half the cohort brings work experience across the Big 4, FAANG, consulting giants like Accenture, Deloitte, and the BFSI sector. 

The Milan Immersion: The real global experience

IMB Students spend one term - four months - studying at the SDA Bocconi, Milan campus. During this time, students learn more about their chosen electives from the SDA Bocconi professors. The immersion curriculum offers electives across Finance, Marketing, Strategy, Operations, and specialised areas like Luxury Business Management and Digital Transformation. Candidates also participate in the Bocconi & Jobs fair, which brings 100+ employers to the campus, where students can interact with recruiters and learn more about their openings. 

This term also provides candidates an opportunity to learn alongside 1,900 exchange students from over 100 countries, creating an unparalleled global learning environment.

Placements and Careers

SDA Bocconi Asia Center’s Career Development Services (CDS) office supports and assists candidates in their professional journeys. The candidates are supported in terms of preparing their resume, practising mock GDs and Personal Interviews, so they have the tools and skills necessary to build their professional journey. The CDS team also helps candidates secure live projects, internships, and full-time positions. 

For the International Master's in Business Class of 2025, the students on average got INR 14.1 LPA, and the top 25% of the batch received full-time offers of INR 18.21 LPA. The Program attracts top participating companies, such as L'Oréal, AB Inbev, Dell Technologies, Deloitte, Kraft Heinz, etc. IMB alumni have unique career pathways, making an impact across leading organisations such as Amazon, Vodafone, Microsoft, Meta, EY, KPMG, HUL, Avendus Capital, TATA Group, Accenture Strategy, at strategic locations including India, Europe, the UK, Canada, the USA, and the Middle East.
