Review of Atharva College of Engineering, The Atharva Educational Trust.

Placements: Overall, placements in our college are good. Almost 50-60% of students from our course get placed. Companies like Accenture, Capgemini, Burns & McDonnell, etc., visit our campus for placements. The college has training and placements section for students, where students are guided for the upcoming placements.

Infrastructure: The electronics department has its own labs that are both software and hardware labs. Quality of components is good. Classrooms are spacious with proper ventilation. The library is good. Wi-Fi facility is available in the library for everyone. The hostel facility is not available here. Canteen and sports grounds are good.

Faculty: Faculty members in our college are good with theory as well as practical knowledge. The course curriculum is not industry-friendly. Faculty members always encourage students to learn new skills and guide students for internships. They provide skills to make us industry-ready.

Other: The college life is good. Our college organises technical and cultural fests. Committees like IEEE, CSI, NSS, Satelite Ground Station, etc., are available here. Overall, the environment is good here.

Great infrastructure, Great place to go if you plan to go abroad for master's.

Placements: There were about 80% of students placed in my course. The highest salary offered was around 5L, the lowest was probably around 2L average was definitely 3L. Accenture, L&T, etc. were the top recruiters of my course. Not many students got internships from my course.

Infrastructure: The college itself has great infrastructure, it's a beautiful campus to just be in, there's hardly any other college in the heart of the city to have such a beautiful campus, the Library is not that great, there's no Wi-Fi, classrooms are huge but without A/C, All the equipments in Lab are in working conditions.

Faculty: The teaching faculty is great, they are helpful and friendly and very much approachable for doubts. When it comes to the knowledge part they could probably do better. The course curriculum for Mumbai University itself is not industry ready, we were studying systems from the late nineties and early two thousands.

Insights - Atharva College of Engineering, Mumbai.

Placements: The placements in our college are not that great. There are not many options, and the opportunities weren't with a great package. In spite of having first class, we had to go to other colleges for placements. The placements could have been much better if the management had been on TASK. All other batches faced the same situation.

Infrastructure: Our college has a nice infrastructure. We had all the required facilities. We had access to all the latest things which gave a tremendous exposure. The campus was a nice mix of recreational and jamming spots. The labs had all the required amenities which made sure that we are in sync with the syllabus.

Faculty: The faculty members in our college are fine. They had in-depth knowledge of the subject and were able to pass it to the students. They solved our queries and took a keen interest in the practicals. We didn't find any flaws. Though they couldn't complete the syllabus considering the time slots, whatever the syllabus covered was done perfectly.

Other: Our college had great cultural events and caught eyes of most of the colleges. They gave a good opportunity to mingle with students of other colleges which helped us to gauge our caliber.

Atharva College is one of the best colleges in Mumbai.

Placements: The placements on the campus are good, Most of the companies visited the campus for the placement process. Most of the students are placed in big companies like Infosys, Accenture, Tech Mahindra, and much more visit the college. The cutoff is based on getting placed in the college, and it is one of the best colleges.

Infrastructure: The college infrastructure is good; especially it is created in a 3-phase. Phase one is for engineering, and phase 2 and 3 is for hotel management. The college has many festivals such as rhythm, e-week, and IEEE in every fest. Many events are organised by the students.

Faculty: The faculty members are good, and they are cooperative with the students. There are many courses in the college so that the students get multiple choice. The faculty members are helpful to the students those who are having problems. They use many different methods to teach the students.

Other: Many workshops took places such as robotics and many other, which is helpful for the students in future.

Most progressive College of Mumbai.

Placements: All the major IT companies come to Atharva for campus placement including infosys, tech mahindra, Accenture, etc. THE highest average salary offered by company is 3.5 L. and the least offered salary is 2 L. All the students are encouraged by the facilities to do more than 3 internship in these 4 years. There are different committees for different pusposes like internship, placement entrepreneurship, etc.

Infrastructure: Atharva Has the most beautiful and enlightening infrastructure. It has a tree plantation and gardening team which takes good care of the campus. It has AC toilets, AC classroom,2 libraries with free Wi-Fi and many computer for students in it,1 sports room, girls room, 20 labs, workshop for major project execution,1 grass ground for lawn events, 2 Canteens, presentation hall, seminar hall, staff room, admin panel, auditorium, theatre, swimming pool, etc. it also has a Robotics room where they teach Kuka programming and also has a Kuka hand and Nano robot.

Faculty: It has qualified and knowledgeable facilities, caring hospitality staff and well trained management staff. The student to faculty ratio is 40. The college organise many events, IV and internship programs for students. It has permission to organize events in college on behalf of IEEE.

Other: The college organise IV to major companies every month, internship programs and fest and also technical, sports and cultural events. It has a developing metro station which will be ready by 2022. it was also featured in top 10 college in Mumbai by Times group.

I am glad that I opted for Atharva in 2011. Best infrastructure. Superb staff and faculty members.

Placements: Majority of the students get placed in good companies like Infosys, Accenture, TCS, L&T, etc. Every year, there will be at least two to three companies which will do mass recruitment. Mainly, IT companies visit the campus with exceptions of few electronics companies, and niche companies like Zycus, etc. One will get enough opportunities throughout the final year to land himself in a good fresher's job with an average salary of Rs. 3.75 LPA.

Infrastructure: Atharva has one of the best infrastructures in the Mumbai University from spacious classrooms to a magnificent auditorium. The college has a swimming pool, basketball court, and cricket/football ground which is a big thing for an MU college considering the land constraints in a city like Mumbai. One can use college Wi-Fi but has to get the password from the admin, and the sites like Facebook, YouTube, etc. are blocked. For the cleanliness, the college gets 10/10. The canteen is big, and the food is tasty.

Faculty: Very friendly and co-operative faculty are there. The teaching is okay, but if you are looking for some excellent teaching style and methods, then this college is not for you. The faculty are pretty much young and consists of a good chunk of freshly passed out M.Tech students. The minimum required attendance during my engineering was around 65%. But even below 65% was also acceptable to the professors, if one had attended the practicals seriously or had a good image in the eyes of the professors. Overall, the faculty are good, and will always be there to help the students and to teach them in the best way possible when the students approach them.

Other: The events organised in the college are Rhythm, E-week, Technofest, IEEE events, Ganesh Utsav, etc. Overall, there are enough events to keep you busy out of the lectures throughout the year without any drop in the attendance (one can get full attendance for participating in the events). The college has a decent crowd. The canteen food is incredible and cheap. You can get a pomfret thali at Rs. 50 (isn't it amazing). One must try Chinese and South Indian dishes. Lots of eateries are present outside the college. The restaurant recommended is Ashish (a pocket-friendly desi restaurant with fantastic food). For fun, the restaurants and cafes like PopTates and CCD are within half a KM radius. The Infinity and Inorbit malls are just 2 KM away from the college. The connectivity to the college can be an issue because the college is 3 to 4 KM away from the Malad station but the bus frequency is good. Also, once the metro starts, the closest metro station will be 1 KM away from the college which will solve the connectivity issue. Keep your mobile phones silent in your pocket, the college admin is very strict about using cell phones in the college premises, and they will seize if found using the cell phone, and you have to pay fine to get it back.

Placements: Many companies visit our college. In my batch, approximately 12 students where placed and much more companies will come, so approximately 40 students will place. The average salary offered was 3.5 lacs per annum, and the lowest salary offered was approximately 2.5 lacs per annum.

Infrastructure: The Wi-Fi facility is all around on the campus. The labs are neat and clean. The strength of the students is more. That's why classrooms are big. According to games and medical facilities, they gave us a good response. There is all type of tasty food available in the canteen.

Faculty: In our college, teachers are very helpful and very motivated, that's why the student will also get motivated. They are well-qualified, and they have good knowledge of what they teach us. In our college, every year, 2 to 3 industry visit are held, and it will help us to increase our knowledge.

If you are looking for placements, then opt IT and computer science branch.

Placements: All the teachings and faculty members are great, but there is sudden disappointing to know that there are not many placements for EXTC, ETRX and electrical branch. Most of the companies come for IT and computer science branch students. The highest package was 3.5 lacs per annum.

Infrastructure: The college has a very big campus. Saturday and Sundays are for shooting time, and if you visit the college on Saturday or Sunday, you will able to meet VH Channel TV actors. Atharva got a Prom night during the cultural fest. It has a normal size swimming pool. There are two canteens, i.e., one for hotel management and other for an engineering student.

Faculty: All the teachers are well-qualified, and most of the time they try to interact with the students. There are faculty members for training and placement department. They train you very well for the placement. For that, you have to attend all the training and placement session which will hold during your regular college.
