Overall experience being in ARSD College.
Placements: About the placement of our college, it's decent. The average package range between 3.5 LPA-4 LPA for undergraduate and 5 LPA-5.5 LPA for post-graduate. It's not that high when compared to other colleges, but it's still decent.
Infrastructure: The overall college campus is good, it has one of the biggest campuses in DU, and there are various sports faculty members. I'm pursuing B.Sc. Electronics Honors, and my department is electronics sciences. Our department has very experienced professors, they are very knowledgeable in their respective fields. Our labs are very well-maintained, all the apparatus works properly, and the labs are well-equipped with AC. The lab staff is also good. Classroom, I would say, is decent, they are too great but not bad. Wi-Fi is good. A hostel is not provided in our college.
Faculty: The teachers are very knowledgeable, and they provide and guide more than enough for exams like the PYQs and expected questions. Semester exams are made very balanced, as if you are expecting exams to be easy, they are not. I would say they are anywhere between moderate and difficult, while some exams are a little easier, but then they make the paper such that it takes time.

B.A. (Hons.) in Political Science - Batch of 2023

4Placements4Infrastructure4Faculty5Crowd & Campus Life5Value for Money
Good placements and supportive faculty with vibrant campus life.
Placements: Around 85% of students from our course were successfully placed through campus recruitment drives. The remaining students opted for higher studies, startups, or off campus opportunities. Salary packages offered the highest package is 24 LPA, Domestic /36 LPA.
Infrastructure: The department is equipped with well furnished classrooms with projectors and audiovisual systems, computer labs with high speed internet and the latest software tools required for practical learning, and a departmental library.
Faculty: The faculty members were highly qualified, with many holding Ph.D. and postgraduate degrees in their respective fields. Teachers were helpful and approachable, often encouraging students to clarify doubts. Beyond the classroom hours, the teaching facility was good.
Other: I chose this course because of my interest in politics.

Discontinued (Sep 2025) - B.A. in English - Batch of 2027

College could be much better if it improved its infrastructure.
Placements: A very low percentage of students get placed since it is an English honors course. The average package is about 3 LPA to 4 LPA. Many students from this course don't sit for placement drives since they go for higher studies. Content writing is the most popular role for literature students.
Infrastructure: The classrooms are in very bad condition, with some classrooms not even having properly working fans, and some of them are very crowded. The canteen is also below average, prices are affordable, but the quality is questionable. The sports ground is well-maintained, and there are many sports teams from our college.
Faculty: Teaching quality for some subjects is good, but it depends on the teacher. Some don't even bother informing the students whether they will be present or not. The curriculum is relevant, but could be better and updated. Exams are quite easy, and most of the students pass this course.
Other: I chose this course because of my interest in literature. This covers many aspects of the humanities and promotes critical thought. The curriculum is definitely outdated compared to other countries' universities. The campus crowd is getting better because of the NIRF rankings. Many societies have a strong foundation. Fests are vibrant, and average celebrations are invited.

Bachelor of Arts (B.A.) - Batch of 2027

Good infrastructure but bad placements.
Placements: I recently completed this course with high hopes that it would lead to a secure job placement, as suggested during the admission process. Unfortunately, my experience and that of many of my batchmates prove that students don't get placed after doing this course only. While the content is well-structured and covers the basics of the subject but it lacks real-world knowledge. I would recommend it only to those who are ready to put in extra effort beyond the syllabus, because relying on this course alone for placement is likely to lead to disappointment.
Infrastructure: Infrastructure of the college is impressive and well-maintained, creating a pleasant environment for students. Library is one of the highlights, fully air-conditioned and stocked with a wide range of books, making it an ideal place for study and research. Campus also has convenient food and beverage options, with Nescafe and Mother Dairy outlets available for quick snacks and refreshment. Additionally, the huge open field adds to the charm of the campus, providing space for sports, events, and relaxation. Overall, the facilities contribute to a comfortable and engaging college experience.
Faculty: Teachers are well-qualified, but the quality of teaching varies from one faculty member to another. Some explain concepts very well, while others rely too much on slides and notes. The course structure is well-designed and covers important topics. But it does not fully prepare students for industry requirements. More practical training and real-world exposure are needed. Exams are manageable and not very tough, especially if you prepare using past year papers, which often repeat questions. Overall, the academic framework is decent. But students need to put in extra effort beyond the syllabus to be truly industry-ready.

B.A. (Hons.) in English - Batch of 2026

Supportive faculty members, enriching academic experience, and growing opportunities.
Placements: I am a third-year B.A. (Hons) English student at ARSD College, University of Delhi, graduating in 2026. In terms of placements, most of the students of English honors pursue higher studies like M.A. or Ph.D. But overall around 50-60% of students from the college get placed, and the number have increased due to the rise in NIRF ranking. The highest package is around 11 LPA - 12 LPA, and average is around 5 LPA - 8 LPA. Companies like Wipro, Genpact, and Deloitte have visited the campus. I interned as a content writer at Nettv4u.
Infrastructure: English department has access to a separate department room, clean and ventilated classrooms, and access to two-floor library with all course books available, and a campus wide Wi-Fi connection. Though there are no projector facilities in every classroom. There are no labs required for this course. Science labs are there for other departments. College does not offer hostel facilities but the students stay nearby in Satya Niketan in rented PGs, five minutes away. The canteen serves a decent menu at affordable prices. Campus has two grounds where students can play various sports. The environment is encouraging.
Faculty: Teachers in the department of English are highly qualified, helpful, and passionate about what they teach. The teaching quality is good, and every professor has their own way of teaching students that is really unique, and students can grasp what is being taught. The curriculum may not directly prepare students for industry roles, but it builds a strong foundation for higher studies, content-related careers and research. Semester exams are moderately difficult but easy and manageable with regular study. The pass percentage is generally high, varying between 85-95%. Faculty members are very supportive.
Other: I chose this course because of my love for literature and writing. The best part is the exposure to diverse ideas and texts. But I wish there were more skill-building workshops.

B.Sc. in Physical Science with Chemistry - Batch of 2028

Average infrastructure and facilities but has a great set of faculty members.
Placements: I'll be honest about my course. There is only a 0.1% chance of getting a placement through it. From what I've heard from my seniors, there have been no placements this academic year. Only 1 out of 6 seniors is doing an internship, and even that is not related to our course, it's because of the extra skills they have.
Infrastructure: The infrastructure is average with no separate facility for our course, though basic amenities are provided. Our course is under the chemistry department, but it receives little attention in departmental events. We often aren't informed about them. Labs are okay, classrooms and the library are good, but the Wi-Fi rarely works. There are no hostel facilities. The canteen maintains hygiene and decent quality, but the food lacks taste. Sports and games are not actively encouraged among the general student body.
Faculty: The standard of teaching is great, and the teachers are supportive and helpful. This course includes physics, chemistry, and mathematics, which benefits students still unsure about their stream. It offers major and minor degrees among the three subjects, allowing students to explore their interests and opening up more future opportunities. The difficulty level of semester exams is above average, but the passing percentage is over 95%.
Other: Honesty, I was aiming for an Honors course in Mathematics, but due to a poorly filled preference sheet, I got this course instead. I accepted it because it offers the opportunity to explore all three subjects, helping me decide on a major for postgraduation. Overall, the course is great. The campus crowd isn't very engaging. Major events are well-organized, but many students remain unaware of smaller ones. Connectivity depends on individual interests. The campus is green and pleasant. Many students receive scholarships based on specific criteria. However, extracurricular activities are not very prominent among the general student body.
