Our college is great study-wise. Placements are great, but students need more.
Placements: There is not a great number of students getting placements. I have seen even talented students who couldn't get placements due to a lack of seats. It's totally a heartless competition. Companies like McKinsey, Brain, BCG, etc., come for placements. As for the History Hons course there is no such specific recruitment company.
Infrastructure: In this aspect, Kirori Mal College is better. There is a great library with thousands of books readily available for our course and others as well. Labs are available, but the air conditioning in classrooms is only through fans, which sometimes gets unbearable during hot and humid times. The food is average, not too good not too bad, in the hostel canteen and mess. Medical facilities are not what I have seen till now. However, a sports ground is there with competitions going on.
Faculty: Teachers are great, qualified and knowledgeable about the topic they teach. Teaching is really interactive and happening. The course curriculum is totally relevant to the present needs if taken in the right way, also there are many other subjects to study, such as skills development and vocational skill enhancement, which is totally great for present day needs. Semester exams are fair, to be said, not too hard not too easy. It depends on the one if he can score properly.
Other: I like studying history, that's why I chose it, and I see a great future through my eyes in it. I wish our classes had AC we would have gotten more excited to study than we are today. Events and fests are great, the management sometimes gets overwhelmed but it's still pretty nice of them. Surroundings is peaceful and extracurricular activities are included as subjects in courses as well, and that's great.

B.A. Program (Political Science and Philosophy) - Batch of 2028
3.4
2.0Placements3.0Infrastructure3.0Faculty5.0Crowd & Campus Life4.0Value for Money
Average because of the faculty. Excellent because of debating overall, a good 8/10.
Placements: As the B.A. programme with Political Science major and philosophy minor is a theoretical course, the placement chances are very low. However, internships are available if you are passionate about public policy and research you can have internships under professors. Some professors are very kind and help students in their research work. Organisations like NITI Aayog and the Ministry of External Affairs provide internships for humanities background students.
Infrastructure: Kirori Mal doesn't have a specific department room for the B.A. programme yet. Other facilities like the library are spacious. Almost all academic books that you require for your course are there. Canteen food is very affordable, especially the thali and dosa. College is also active in sports and there is an attendance benefit for those who join regular sports and represent the college.
Faculty: Political Science teachers are good. To make the course relevant, they conduct book reviews and movie reviews for CA (class assessment), which help the students to articulate better and read more about the subject. It does not make you industry-ready for corporate but if you read well, you can go into research, writing and careers like teaching. Philosophy helps you understand the world and increase your critical thinking abilities. On the other hand, Political Science is relevant because you can go into policy-making, international relations, etc. Semester exams are highly based on PYQs, so the difficulty level is average. Faculty is average some professors are so good, while others just don't care.
Other: I chose this course because I have an interest in Political Science but don't want to do Political Science hons. CUET score doesn't allow me to do this either) So I chose Philosophy as it is a very underrated course and the cut-off is also decent for this combination. The best thing I get from this college is extracurricular activities, especially the debating society. It is such an intellectual space, it helps me learn how to speak. How to think in the first place. It will improve my public speaking and logical argumentative skills.

B.A. Program (Political Science and History) - Batch of 2026
3.0
1.0Placements3.0Infrastructure3.0Faculty4.0Crowd & Campus Life4.0Value for Money
For personality development, lots of opportunities due to college societies and academic environment
Placements: Placement is unlikely to happen in the B.A. programme as most of the students do B.A. to give government exams like UPSC and SSC but the academic environment is good for B.A. courses but in courses like economics honours and B.Com placement is good but not 100 percent.
Infrastructure: Infrastructure is decent. The campus is small but lively. You can spot people doing everything from studying to dancing, gossiping, and debating but the most effective is the library. You get two very good, big reading rooms with AC which have a very academic environment and provide a good number of books.
Faculty: Teachers are very decent in teaching but if someone has a personal bond with them then they can learn a lot from them. Other than that, the curriculum is very good and productive but you have to study on your own but with that you can have a decent amount of understanding of your course.
Other: The environment and energy are good but you need to find good people who are academically competent who really help to build your personality.

Strong conceptual learning environment with supportive faculty and decent lab facilities.
Placements: Placement depends upon you. There is a placement drive on the university campus where you can get placed based on your potential. About the package, the highest you can get is 5 LPA and the lowest is 2 LPA-3 LPA. Recruiting companies are ed-tech companies, pharma companies, and students get internships in different universities like IIT Delhi and other IITS, IISERS, CSIR, DRDO, etc. Roles offered in my course are analytical scientist and research scientist.
Infrastructure: Labs, Wi-Fi, classrooms, and libraries are great. The hostel depends on your CUET-PG marks. According to your marks, you can get admission to the hostel. Hostels like Jublee and Rajiv Gandhi hostel are available. The quality of food is very good in hostels, especially in Jubilee hostel and other facilities like medical, sports, and games like table tennis, cricket are very good.
Faculty: Teachers are helpful and qualified. They have experience of 10-15 years and their teaching quality is also very good. If I talk about my course, then it is very relevant if YOU want to crack competitive exams like NET, GATE, and other exams. Practice in labs can make you industry-ready. Semester exams are difficult but also depend on how you study, like not mugging up. The pass percentage is around 80-90 percent.
Other: The Delhi University campus crowd is one of the best crowds, and connectivity is also very good. Yellow line (Vishwavidyalaya), there are fests in April. There are no such things as improvising. I chose this course because everywhere we see Chemistry, it is there and I want to know how Chemistry works in real life.

The college has value for money, great exposure.
Placements: More than 60% of students were placed in my course in the previous batch. The highest package is around 24 LPA, and the average is around 11 LPA. Top recruiting companies are DE Shaw, LEK Consulting, Nation with Namo, Accenture, and so on. The top roles offered by these companies are in consulting, finance, and as political associates. Students do get internships in my college.
Infrastructure: The hostel and infrastructure of Kirori Mal College are, I would say, very average. As a government college, it lacks infrastructure a lot. There is a lot of room for improvement. The Wi-Fi is available, but students don't get to use it. The labs are fine. I don't think they lack any necessary equipment. The hostel provides food and basic necessities at a very reasonable price. The auditorium is under construction.
Faculty: As an NIRF rank 4 college, it has one of the best faculty members. The faculty members are well-informed about their subjects. As a part of Delhi University, it has one of the best faculty members in all of India. I would say B.Com as a course is not enough to make students industry-ready. This course lacks practicality and is somewhat outdated.
Other: DU fests are well known in India. They are famous for their grandeur. I would say my course should add more practical applications.

Overall a good experience but it can be improved by making changes in the course.
Placements: Out of the batch of approximately 160 students, 40-50 students were placed. Top recruiting companies included Brain, LEK Consulting, Nation with Namo, Deloitte, EY, ZS Consulting, and Accenture. Roles were mainly around consulting, and the highest package was 26 LPA.
Infrastructure: Overall, decent infrastructure is available for my course, including classrooms, a library, and a computer lab. However, Wi-Fi is not working properly, which is really disappointing. I am not living in the hostel, so I don't know about hostel facilities offered.
Faculty: Most teachers are really helpful, but some are not. Every teacher is qualified and knowledgeable, though. Most content in the course does not make one industry-ready. A student must upskill themselves to be able to get a job. Manageable exams.

Admission to B.Sc Life Sciences at Kirori Mal College is based on CUET-UG scores. Candidates must meet the college’s cut-off for their category. Selection depends on CUET performance, category-wise merit, and available seats during counselling rounds.
