It is a good college. Government rules are applicable here.

Placements: In this college, there are very few placements in the civil engineering branch. I don't know about the lowest package of civil engineering and all the other branches. The salary packages are good in the mechanical branch.

Infrastructure: Facilities are good. All classrooms and hostel rooms are clean. The food served in the canteen is the best. Our college is designed by a good architect. In Odisha, there is no Wi-Fi in classrooms. There will be Wi-Fi in classrooms in the future. Practice classes are good and enjoyable.

Faculty: Nothing to say about teaching. It is helpful. All college faculty members are good persons. They are friendly. It is helpful for us. During semester exams, it will be like a GATE exam in this college. Strict checking is done by the principal before entering the exam hall.

Other: Nothing to say about this college. It is a top 1 college in Balasore.

The reality of BCET, Balasore.

Placements: Never expect any placement from this college, one of the worst colleges in Odisha; they will literally make you frustrated; they give you gifts with very poor teaching skills and very professional professors with very little knowledge with them; no companies come here.

Infrastructure: There are no laboratory facilities you could expect from this college; it is like a very poor private college in Odisha. Nothing is good over here; they provide you with very poor food facilities. Before admission, they will give you lots of promises but after that, they will reward you with a fine.

Faculty: The teachers are poorly qualified; they are not at all qualified to teach in a college; they are not cooperative; they do not help in any kind of study; they will only fail you in internal exams; and you have to pay a fine for failing.

Other: I by mistake chose and got into this course. I regret a lot after choosing this college; therefore, I left this college after one year and got into a government college. If you do not have any options in your life, then come into this college.

I would recommend students to join this college and experience the difference.

Placements: Around 60% of students are placed in this college. The highest salary offered is Rs 80,000 per annum. The top recruiting companies are Tata Steel, Ultratech Cement, Jindal, and many other companies.

Infrastructure: The facilities are available in this college. Wi-Fi is enabled on the campus. The classes are clear and under CCTV surveillance. The canteen facilities are available, and the food facilities are very good. The sports facilities are very good. Medical facilities are also provided.

Faculty: Teachers are very helpful and qualified. The teaching quality is very good, and exams are very difficult. The pass percentage is 95%.

Other: The course is very helpful to have government jobs. The fests are held. The campus is clean, and scholarships are provided.

This is the best college in the eastern side of Orissa.

Placements: I attended the campus placement drive conducted by a company named NKC Pvt. Ltd. This company hired around 5% of the students who participated in the placement drive. The salary package offered by that company was 1.5 LPA. However, the company wanted the students to sign a bond stating that we should stay in the company for 2 years. Around 20% of the students were offered internships by Ultrateh Cement Balasore.

Infrastructure: The college atmosphere and environment are excellent. The college provides free Wi-Fi facility on our campus. The classrooms and library are too good when compared with the colleges located on the eastern side of Orissa. The hostel and canteen are also clean and well-furnished. I think this is a good college in Orissa.

Faculty: Our teachers are very cooperative and knowledgeable. They also help the students with their personal issues. Teaching quality is good. Our college conducts the doubt clearing sessions, and they also conduct seminars for the poor students. There is a good relationship between students and management.

Other: The college provides free outing once a weak. The college offers scholarships for eligible students during events.

Best engineering college in the city that offers best quality of education.

Placements: This college offers a very good placement. Most of our seniors are also got good campus placement. We have got jobs in reputed companies like TCS and L&T. Most of the software companies come to our college for picking up good students every year. Every year nearly 70% students got placed in various national and international companies.

Infrastructure: This college facilitate 24hr Wi-Fi. It also has well-equipped laboratories for all branches including mechanical lab, chemistry lab, civil lab, Electrical lab and computer lab. Our college has a big central library, that have almost all engineering related books. We have well maintained classrooms.

Faculty: Teachers are very friendly and helpful. They are very excellent in their respective subjects. They make your all doubts clear. The teaching quality is very good. Teachers are very knowledgeable. There are 70 teachers in our college. We also go for study tour to different industries every year.

Other: Every year annual function is celebrated in our college. Annual sports meet to encourage sportsman spirit of students. Also scholarship provided to meritorious students. Environment is very peaceful.

A review on Balasore College of Engineering and Technology.

Placements: Tata Steel and Jindal companies visited our college. Many students got the opportunity of placements, and many were rejected because they did not pass the written exam. So, the students who have not passed in all semesters can't be selected in the placement process. I thank the college for providing the job.

Infrastructure: There is a large garden, a machine lab, computer lab, civil material lab, AutoCAD lab, sheet metal lab, electronics lab, and a huge field behind our college are present. Every year, sports programmes are done by our lecturers, and they are conducted for our happiness.

Faculty: Our teachers are very helpful and mingle with the students all the time. The teachers are friendly. The methods of the teaching are very useful to us. I didn't get industry exposure. The course curriculum is useful.

Other: The events like Ganesh pooja, Saraswati pooja, and Vishwakarma pooja are conducted in the college. The campus crowd is minimum 1700. Free Wi-Fi is provided. The campus is surrounded by walls. The scholarship is provided every year.

Overall, it is a good college, but there are some issues in the college.

Placements: The placements provided in our college are not much in number, but companies do come to our college. Some students got placed. Now, I am in my final year, so I am waiting for the interview. The salary offered isn't a matter, but you will get the experience from companies which is good for your future.

Infrastructure: The college infrastructure is good. All kinds of facilities are available. Our college is strict and takes all the responsibilities of students. But, there are some issues which I can't ignore, that is the library disappoints me every time. Classrooms and canteen are average.

Faculty: Our teachers are helpful and well-qualified. All teachers are M.Tech holders. The student-faculty ratio is 70:6. The teaching methods are very simple but effective. We didn't get industry exposure. The course curriculum is very useful and important.

Other: Prerana scholarship is provided for students. FM radio comes to our college to conduct dancing and singing competitions.

Other: BCET is a good college. Its teaching quality is very good & very discipline college. Daily 2 hour doubt classes, yoga classes. The College area is 80 acres, Separate boy’s hostel and girl’s hostel are available. Transport facilities is also available. The important thing is its teaching quality and Faculty are awesome. Very tight security for both boys and girls. Actually it’s not a college it’s a temple.
