Good placement before COVID 19.
Placements: About 60% of students are placed in our course. The highest package is up to 9 LPA, and the average package is 4 LPA. The top recruiting companies for our course are Argusoft, TCS, Infosys, etc. 40% of the students are getting internships.
Infrastructure: The infrastructure of our institution is very good. The classrooms have a sufficient number of desks and tables. Free Wi-Fi is provided in our department. The quality of the food is good, and the menu is exciting. There is also a dispensary in our institute, and different sports activities are also there.
Faculty: The faculty members are very good and very supportive. They always help in my studies. They provide the PPTs in the classroom. The difficulty level of the semester exams is average. The exams are conducted on time. The pass percentage is 33 marks in each subject.

I am satisfied with the college because of the campus life.
Placements: Placement is average, not so good, because the place where the institute is situated is a little bit difficult to travel to, and also because of the recession. Almost 40-50% of students got placed in my batch, and the highest package was 7.2 LPA, and the lowest was 3 LPA. Mostly, startup companies recruit.
Infrastructure: Wi-Fi is available for 3rd and final-year students, and a library is also there, and it is open from 8 am to 9 pm. Food is not so good, except in the final-year hostel. Medical facilities, sports, and games are available. Sports and games are so satisfying and also enjoyable.
Faculty: Teachers are very helpful and qualified, and the teaching quality is good, but students need to work on themselves. Semester exams are not so difficult for those who study and are a little bit difficult for those who never study. The pass percentage is 30%.
Other: I always wanted to be a software developer, so I chose computer science engineering, and our department teachers are so good. I should have worked on my skills to get better or improve myself. Extracurricular activities, fests, and campus life were so good and so memorable. Campus life was so enjoyable.

The best state government autonomous engineering college for placements.
Placements: Almost 50% of the students get placed every year. The average package provided is nearly 5 lakhs per annum. There are so many MNCs that visit the college for the hiring process every year. Almost all students get an opportunity for an internship at their own convenience.
Infrastructure: In recent years, there have been many new buildings and infrastructure developed at Indira Gandhi Institute of Technology. All the classrooms and the entire campus are equipped with free wifi, and all the classrooms are smart classrooms with smart boards. The hostels, such as Bramhosh Bhawan and surya bhawan, are the best and provide all the facilities and the best food quality.
Faculty: The faculty at this college are highly qualified, and all of them are very helpful to the students. The difficulty level of the semester exams is moderate, and the pass percentage is almost 100%.
Other: I chose this course because I saw the demand for software engineering in the market, the vast areas that can be pursued, and the opportunities that are available for software engineers. The college campus is very good, and the connectivity is excellent. Almost all students get scholarships from the government.

Value for money and worthy.
Placements: Nearly 70-80% students have been placed from my course. The highest package is about 35 LPA, offered by Microsoft, lowest is 1.9 LPA and the average is about 3.5 LPA. More than 80% students got internship in various companies like WIPRO, INFOSYS, MICROSOFT, JWS, etc.
Infrastructure: All the types of facilities like Wi-Fi, AC classrooms, Library and labs are available. The hostel provides spacious accommodation to the students with all the modern facilities. Medical facilities, music club, dance club and photography are also provided by our college.
Faculty: The teachers are very helpful, humble, well qualified and knowledgeable. All the teachers are qualified either from IIT or some other top institute. The quality of teaching is very effective and understanding. Semester Exams in our college are from average to tough level. Final exams and end semester exams are the most challenging aspects of the college experience.

This is the best college among 7 government engineering college.
Placements: Around 80% of students are placed. Other branches' placements are not good. Still, our training and placements department working on it to bring more placements. The lowest salary package offered ranges from 3.6 LPA to 4 LPA. The highest salary package offered is 10 LPA. But students always try to get off-campus and product-based company placements also to join a start-up company. Common recruiting companies are TCS, Wipro, Infosys, Accenture, Capgemini, Lemon VB, etc. Internships are provided to students from our training and placements department.
Infrastructure: The classroom is well maintained with the digital board, concrete building, and clean. Wi-Fi is available in the library, computer laboratories are also available, but not in the classroom. In the 3rd-year and 4th-year hostels, lawns are available in every room. Laboratories are also well-maintained. All PCs are running well. The hostel is very good but the 2nd-year hostel is very old and needs repairing. They will repair it during summer vacation.
Faculty: All faculty members are excellent in their field of teaching. In our college 2 intermediate semesters and 1 annual semester is occurred in a semester. Exams are held within college as it is a autonomous government college. Teachers are helpful that they have created WhatsApp group for any doubt to be cleared. Syllabus is not tough, one can score good marks by attaining all classes. The pass percentage is 85%.
Other: Our college is famous for one of the most popular topics which is varieties of events. College offers students to show their talent in a different field. Our college has many societies and teams for sports. This college needs more improvement in infrastructure so that it can convert into a university.

In short, a very good college with good academic and non academic facilities .
Placements: Good placement cell. The placement cell is very active and has a very strong build in network with various companies. Many tech giants hire many good students providing very good packages. Recruitment drive takes place in a year. Many of the alumni help thoroughly through the referral system.
Infrastructure: IGIT is located in the lush green campus near the city of black gold Talcher. Other than that, it has a very good exposure to the real world with very efficient transport facilities. Infrastructure of the college is very good. It has all the facilities that gives no reason to a student to go out of the campus.
Faculty: All the teachers, whose teaching I experienced here, were seemingly
brilliant. The way they explain and boil down the concepts to their
core essence is simply exceptional. They motivate pupils to do more
first principle-thinking rather than memorizing conclusions from the
material and vomiting in the exam.

Absolutely satisfied because of faculty and helpful staff, and good placements in 2021.
Placements: About 65-70% of students got placed in my course. In our college, the highest package offered is around 15 LPA, and the lowest package is about 4.5 LPA, and the average package is about 8-10 LPA. The top recruiting companies for my courses are Cisco Web Networking, TCS Digital etc. The top roles offered in my course are SDE and data analyst. Some passed-out students also share their experiences with us, which is good.
Infrastructure: Wi-Fi and LAN cable is available in our academic building, library and hostels. The hostels are far better than expected from engineering college hostels. The quality of food in our hostel is tasty and better than other government colleges in Odisha.
Faculty: The teachers are very helpful, qualified and knowledgeable. It makes the students industry-ready. Semester exam papers are quite difficult than other government colleges, and the passing percentage is 40%. We are a bit tense about our semester exams in college.
Other: Our batch is the best batch I have considered in our college. Some more courses should be added to our syllabus reference from IITs and NITs.

It's a good college. You'll have fun and struggle.
Placements: Tainee engineer, assistant software engineer, assistant. analyst are some of the roles offered in my course.
You have to look for options in the pool campus drives or off campus drives held by companies. TCS, Infosys, Accenture, wipro take a lot of candidates from college. Some start ups also hire students.
Infrastructure: Food is good. Internet connectivity is very bad. No Wi-Fi facility in the hostel yet. No night canteens. You get three meals per day. Breakfast, lunch, dinner. There's a common room. There are 2 girls hostels. Prithvi bhawan and rohini bhawan.
Faculty: Semesters are doable. The pass percentage is also very good. If you don't study at all, you'll get a back. A little effort will be enough. The teachers provide notes in classroom or you can simply look for youtube tutorials. That'll be enough to get passing marks.

You have a chance because IGIT cut-off is low as compared to other Odisha government colleges, I am not sure about CS. You can apply and hope for getting it, you have a chance there but wait up to the last round.
