A small review for my beautiful college.

Placements: VSSUT is one of the reputed technical institutions in Odisha. Below is information based on general trends observed for placement statistics and recruitment drives for courses like B.Tech, M.Tech, etc., related fields. The placement percentage for B.Tech students at VSSUT is usually between 70% and 85%. The highest salary package offered can range from INR 20 LPA to INR 40 LPA. The lowest package is from INR 3 LPA to INR 4 LPA. The average salary package trends to range between INR 5 LPA and INR 8 LPA.

Infrastructure: VSSUT, Veer Surendra Sai University of Technology has numerous facilities and infrastructures aimed at supporting the students in their academic and extracurricular activities. The university has well equipped labs for various engineering and technology disciplines, offering hands-on experience in fields such as electronics, mechanical, civil, computer science and electrical engineering. (Pulaha Hostel): Wi-Fi: Hostels like Pulaha offer WiFi services. The food quality in the hostels is mostly okay. The mess here in Pulaha provides a variety of vegetarian and non-vegetarian dishes catering to the preferences and needs of the students. Food quality varies.

Faculty: The faculty at VSSUT is generally well-qualified with many professors holding advanced degrees like M.Tech & Ph.D. in their respective fields. Teaching standards at VSSUT are always rated as reasonable especially at the theoretical end and practical adaptation. Professors use more than one way of teaching including lectures and discussions. Few students may suggest that there's not enough effort towards practical implementation and industry attachment. The course curriculum is expected to make one understand the conceptual and fundamental approaches relevant to respective disciplines.

Other: I am a part of the batch and 1st year of CSE at VSSUT. I chose this course because of my deep interest in as well as VSSUT's strong reputation in engineering education. The course provides a good balance. Though the curriculum is rich, more internships and industry collaborations would be helpful. VSSUT hosts events like Cultural Fest and Technozion which attract participants from all over the country. VSSUT provides an excellent educational foundation and lively campus life with adequate opportunities for personal growth and professional development.

One of the best engineering colleges in Odisha.

Placements: On average, 70%-80% of students get placed each year. In 2023, the highest salary package placement was 47.38 LPA, the average salary package offered was 6.5 LPA, and the lowest salary package offered was 3.36 LPA. A total of 79 companies visited, and 839 students were placed. Internships are offered at ISRO, Nvidia, Tata Steel, Google, Amazon, etc.

Infrastructure: Classrooms are decent. Labs and the library are impressive. Hostel cleanliness is properly maintained. Food quality is also good, except in a few hostels, as it depends on the tender. Sports events are frequent, aside from the annual sports. Sports clubs are also present.

Faculty: Teachers are quite helpful and intelligent, with decent degrees. Some even have degrees from well-known IITs. Course curriculum makes students are industry-ready. Exams are challenging and easy to pass, but scoring a good grade is difficult. The pass percentage is about 80%.

Other: I chose Computer Science because it is an in-demand course, and my college offers decent placements. Events, fests, and clubs are amazing. I think the theory should be reduced, with more focus on knowledge gaining.

Frankly speaking, I'm not confident. However, this year there's a chance that you may get selected as people would like to study in their home state due to COVID. So you will get clarity after attending the counselling. Also your branch preferences matter like you can opt for a Metallurgy/Production

Nope, no chance of getting CSE, but yes, you can get IT for sure. You can also get branches like EEE, civil and ETC as well.

Other state students can also join Vssut Burla through JEE Mans rank. You can apply for the admission if your rank is good then you definitely can get admission. Good luck.
