I’m satisfied with the fee structure.
Placements: This year, there is a good placement rate for the CSE and IT branch students, but I think the packages offered are a bit low but it is manageable. For internship purpose you have to take care of it. Individual college helps, but not that high.
Infrastructure: As a 1st year college facility, is above average classroom and lab facilities, which are good, and a new academic building is under construction. But due to higher admissions this year 1st year hostel is a bit congested, but I had heard that the 2nd year hostel is good.
Faculty: The 1st year course structure is a bit old, I think, as there are too many other subjects being taught to CSE student but from 2nd year it is branch specific, and semester exams are of above medium difficulty level. Most teachers are qualified and well-experienced.

Very good for a third-tier and good value for money.
Placements: In the CSE branch, almost all students get placed. The highest package so far is from UBS, offering around 12 LPA. The top recruiting companies like Accenture, Cognizant, Infosys, KFINTech, UBS, Incture, etc., come to our college. Almost all are giving software engineer roles here.
Infrastructure: The infrastructure is above average and needs improvement. Classrooms are good, and some hostels have free Wi-Fi while others do not. VSSUT has one library, and each branch has its own library and seminar halls. Hostels provide good quality food, but sometimes the quality gets worse. There is one sports room for badminton, and the volleyball court have one swimming pool.
Faculty: Teachers are very helpful except for some. They understand problems of students and help them out. The semester exams are average, which means that only 1 week before the exam for a subject is more than sufficient. There are two exams in one semester one is the mid-sem, and the other is the end-sem. For the mid-sem, there is no pass criteria, but in the end-sem, one has to score above 15 to pass.
Other: I chose Computer Science and Engineering because CSE is more advanced than others, and for a third-tier college like VSSUT, I feel CSE is the best. There is a fest every year one for the tech fest called SAMAVESH and the other is a cultural fest called VASAUNT.

Best campus and atmosphere .
Placements: Almost everyone in IT branches got placed, and for core, 85% got placed. The highest package offered was 48 LPA, achieved by a student from the Electronics and Telecommunication Engineering department.
VSSUT attracts a diverse range of esteemed recruiters across various sectors. Notable companies that have participated in the placement drives include: Technology and IT Services: Infosys, Cognizant, Tata Consultancy Services (TCS), Capgemini, IBM, etc.

Internet Facilities: VSSUT is a Wi-Fi-enabled campus with 1 Gbps internet connectivity provided by BSNL services, offering central computing and internet facilities accessible across the campus, including hostels.
Sports and Recreation:
The campus includes a 400-meter athletic track, courts for basketball, lawn tennis, volleyball, and badminton, as well as fields for cricket and hockey. An indoor gymnasium equipped with modern facilities is also available.

Underrated college- VSSUT, Burla.
Placements: Very good placement as per tier 2 college.
CSE and mechanical branch get good placement.
Average package is up to 7 LPA.
Every year, almost every student is placed who has no backlogs.
Other branches, like electrical, also have good placement numbers.
Branches like ME and chemical also have good placements.
Infrastructure: As the college is very old, the old buildings are not so good, but still they are renovated and looking very good now.
As per the government of Odisha, which funded 2000 crore for the college development, new building work is going on. Some new hostels will also be built in the upcoming days, and also labs and sports facilities will be developed.
Hostels and mess food is above average, and very good infrastructure is present.
Faculty: Facilities provided by the college are sufficient.
The faculty members are very good; all are highly qualified.
You will have your semester exam in 2 parts: one is mid-semester 30 marks, the other is end-semester 50 marks, and the teacher's assessment is 20 marks, and the aggregate mark will give you a grade on the subject.

A small review for my beautiful college.
Placements: VSSUT is one of the reputed technical institutions in Odisha. Below is information based on general trends observed for placement statistics and recruitment drives for courses like B.Tech, M.Tech, etc., related fields. The placement percentage for B.Tech students at VSSUT is usually between 70% and 85%. The highest salary package offered can range from INR 20 LPA to INR 40 LPA. The lowest package is from INR 3 LPA to INR 4 LPA. The average salary package trends to range between INR 5 LPA and INR 8 LPA.
Infrastructure: VSSUT, Veer Surendra Sai University of Technology has numerous facilities and infrastructures aimed at supporting the students in their academic and extracurricular activities. The university has well equipped labs for various engineering and technology disciplines, offering hands-on experience in fields such as electronics, mechanical, civil, computer science and electrical engineering. (Pulaha Hostel): Wi-Fi: Hostels like Pulaha offer WiFi services. The food quality in the hostels is mostly okay. The mess here in Pulaha provides a variety of vegetarian and non-vegetarian dishes catering to the preferences and needs of the students. Food quality varies.
Faculty: The faculty at VSSUT is generally well-qualified with many professors holding advanced degrees like M.Tech & Ph.D. in their respective fields. Teaching standards at VSSUT are always rated as reasonable especially at the theoretical end and practical adaptation. Professors use more than one way of teaching including lectures and discussions. Few students may suggest that there's not enough effort towards practical implementation and industry attachment. The course curriculum is expected to make one understand the conceptual and fundamental approaches relevant to respective disciplines.
Other: I am a part of the batch and 1st year of CSE at VSSUT. I chose this course because of my deep interest in as well as VSSUT's strong reputation in engineering education. The course provides a good balance. Though the curriculum is rich, more internships and industry collaborations would be helpful. VSSUT hosts events like Cultural Fest and Technozion which attract participants from all over the country. VSSUT provides an excellent educational foundation and lively campus life with adequate opportunities for personal growth and professional development.

Frankly speaking, I'm not confident. However, this year there's a chance that you may get selected as people would like to study in their home state due to COVID. So you will get clarity after attending the counselling. Also your branch preferences matter like you can opt for a Metallurgy/Production

Nope, no chance of getting CSE, but yes, you can get IT for sure. You can also get branches like EEE, civil and ETC as well.

Other state students can also join Vssut Burla through JEE Mans rank. You can apply for the admission if your rank is good then you definitely can get admission.
