Very good for a third-tier and good value for money.
Placements: In the CSE branch, almost all students get placed. The highest package so far is from UBS, offering around 12 LPA. The top recruiting companies like Accenture, Cognizant, Infosys, KFINTech, UBS, Incture, etc., come to our college. Almost all are giving software engineer roles here.
Infrastructure: The infrastructure is above average and needs improvement. Classrooms are good, and some hostels have free Wi-Fi while others do not. VSSUT has one library, and each branch has its own library and seminar halls. Hostels provide good quality food, but sometimes the quality gets worse. There is one sports room for badminton, and the volleyball court have one swimming pool.
Faculty: Teachers are very helpful except for some. They understand problems of students and help them out. The semester exams are average, which means that only 1 week before the exam for a subject is more than sufficient. There are two exams in one semester one is the mid-sem, and the other is the end-sem. For the mid-sem, there is no pass criteria, but in the end-sem, one has to score above 15 to pass.
Other: I chose Computer Science and Engineering because CSE is more advanced than others, and for a third-tier college like VSSUT, I feel CSE is the best. There is a fest every year one for the tech fest called SAMAVESH and the other is a cultural fest called VASAUNT.

Best campus and atmosphere .
Placements: Almost everyone in IT branches got placed, and for core, 85% got placed. The highest package offered was 48 LPA, achieved by a student from the Electronics and Telecommunication Engineering department. VSSUT attracts a diverse range of esteemed recruiters across various sectors. Notable companies that have participated in the placement drives include: Technology and IT Services: Infosys, Cognizant, Tata Consultancy Services (TCS), Capgemini, IBM, etc.
Infrastructure: IT and Connectivity: Internet Facilities: VSSUT is a Wi-Fi-enabled campus with 1 Gbps internet connectivity provided by BSNL services, offering central computing and internet facilities accessible across the campus, including hostels. Sports and Recreation: The campus includes a 400-meter athletic track, courts for basketball, lawn tennis, volleyball, and badminton, as well as fields for cricket and hockey. An indoor gymnasium equipped with modern facilities is also available.
Faculty: Veer Surendra Sai University of Technology (VSSUT) has a strong and experienced faculty team dedicated to academic excellence and research. Key Features of VSSUT Faculty: Experienced Educators: Faculty members have extensive teaching and research experience, contributing to national and international journals, conferences, and research projects. Departmental Expertise: Each academic department, including mechanical, civil, electrical, electronics, computer science, and other branches of engineering, has specialized professors and researchers. Research Contribution: Faculty members actively engage in cutting-edge research across various fields of engineering and technology, supported by grants from the government and private sector.

The college is somewhat good, with good placements, especially for core branch students.
Placements: About 80–90% of students get placed in the CS branch, and the average package ranges from 6 to 8 LPA. The top recruiting companies are Amazon, Infosys, and TCS. The highest package offered is 21.75 LPA, given by JP Morgan. Some of the top roles offered are Software Developer and Associate Developer.
Infrastructure: The courses are somewhat good, but some CS labs lack new technology as they continue to teach on Ubuntu. The hostel facilities depend on which hostel you are allotted. Like in every engineering college, the hostel is just like an ordinary one. The quality of food is somewhat below average.
Faculty: Teachers are well-qualified, educated, and knowledgeable. However, like every other engineering college, they still follow traditional methods of education. The teaching is somewhat aligned with what companies demand. The semester exams can be challenging, as VSSUT focuses more on academics.

Underrated college- VSSUT, Burla.
Placements: Very good placement as per tier 2 college. CSE and mechanical branch get good placement. Average package is up to 7 LPA. Every year, almost every student is placed who has no backlogs. Other branches, like electrical, also have good placement numbers. Branches like ME and chemical also have good placements.
Infrastructure: As the college is very old, the old buildings are not so good, but still they are renovated and looking very good now. As per the government of Odisha, which funded 2000 crore for the college development, new building work is going on. Some new hostels will also be built in the upcoming days, and also labs and sports facilities will be developed. Hostels and mess food is above average, and very good infrastructure is present.
Faculty: Facilities provided by the college are sufficient. The faculty members are very good; all are highly qualified. You will have your semester exam in 2 parts: one is mid-semester 30 marks, the other is end-semester 50 marks, and the teacher's assessment is 20 marks, and the aggregate mark will give you a grade on the subject. Very good exam facilities have been provided; it's very convenient.

College is good, but hostel one can come here if not any NITs.
Placements: Around 90% of students get placed in companies, with an average salary package of 5 LPA. It's a decent college for technical education, comparable to IITs in classes. Most core companies visit this college. It's a good college and but it is very strict about classes and academics.
Infrastructure: Currently, we are not getting Wi-Fi facilities, but some hostels provide it. Labs are quite good. Classes are also decent. The canteen is good, but the mess food is horrible. The mess is not good at all; it is not eatable. Sports and games are available, but students won't have time to play. If we do, it will highly affect their academics.
Faculty: Some teachers are good, while others are beyond my expectations. This is college, so we have to study everything on our own. It is quite difficult to score good marks in exams because there is no time for self-study. The only thing they have time for is assignments.

You will definitely get the best university if you are scoring high in JEE. Since you have got 81 marks I think you would get above the 93 percentile. So you can search for the college depending on the above using the below link https://www.shiksha.com/university/university-of-Mumbai-856/cutoff-jee-

Frankly speaking, I'm not confident. However, this year there's a chance that you may get selected as people would like to study in their home state due to COVID. So you will get clarity after attending the counselling. Also your branch preferences matter like you can opt for a Metallurgy/Production
