Decent college with poor infrastructure good placements.
Placements: Placements are going well, but offers are comparatively lower than last year. Students need to focus on their GPA while also learning skills from others, as competition is high among CSE peers. Placements are still ongoing as of 2025, with an average package of 10 LPA, according to the website.
Infrastructure: Hostel food is okay, but the rooms are not adjustable. In the first year, only four shared rooms are provided to the students, and the hostel is expensive due to its fees. You can go to a decent PG rather than staying in a hostel. The hostel has non-vegetarian options, so students can get chicken 2 to 3 times per week. For sports, you only give a small basketball court and indoor games like chess and carrom.
Faculty: Teachers are chill compared to other colleges unless you provoke their ego. Students need to submit their reports and projects on time, otherwise, it might be a hassle to get them corrected by teachers. Course is autonomous, the curriculum is similar to VTU colleges, and semester exams are easy if you study for a week.
Other: I completed 1st year at CSE, fests are okay, the crowd is decent, but I think the syllabus is rushed at some point, students have various clubs which are advertised frequently.

A very good college to join for those who are studious and hardworking.
Placements: At BIT, placements are good. About 85% of the students from the CS branch are placed in 2025, with the highest package secured this year being 36 LPA from Cisco. The average package is around 8 LPA, and the lowest is 3 LPA. The top companies hiring CS students include Dell, Cisco, PhonePe, Zeta, and many more. Regarding internships, almost 70% of students have received opportunities to work as interns at Pentagon Space, Zebra, Dell, and other companies. The top roles offered to CS students are Software Developer, Data Analyst, Software Engineer, and more.
Infrastructure: BIT has well infrastructure, including strong Wi-Fi throughout the campus. Two libraries are available, along with a digital library for students to study. Labs are fully digitalized and spacious. Classrooms are also large, with a capacity of about 60 students each and equipped with projectors. Coming to the BIT girls' hostel, I’m in love with the facilities they provide. There is Wi-Fi on all floors, the food quality is very good, and both North Indian and South Indian meals are available. Rooms are very spacious with attached bathrooms, and cleaning is done every day.
Faculty: Teachers are very friendly towards students, and the teaching is good. Everyone gives their best in teaching the students. Teachers help students prepare well in all aspects. Passing is not at all difficult, we can do it easily. Almost 98% of students pass in all subjects, and the semester exams are quite easy if we follow the instructions given by teachers.
Other: Since the Computer Science branch was first introduced at BIT College across Karnataka, it has had good scope and quality teaching is provided. They offer everything needed for course completion. Regarding events, the college celebrates its tech fest named Manthan for two days every year, along with festivals like Kannada Kalarava, Ganesha Utsav, Onam, and many more. The campus is a bit small but is clean. Extracurricular activities are organized by different clubs every month.

There are good placements with teachers.
Placements: More than 70% of students get placed in passing out batch. I think the highest package is 57 LPA and the average package ranges from 8-10 LPA. The lowest package is 5 LPA. Companies like Amazon, Deloitte, Oracle, etc., hire students from the college. Roles like full-stack, frontend engineer, backend engineer, data analyst, and program analyst are offered here.
Infrastructure: All facilities are available. There are Wi-Fi, labs, classrooms, and the library. It has a good hospitality. I do not stay in the hostel, but hostels are also pretty good. It gives good breakfast, lunch and dinner. It is ventilated. The campus is okay, but it is worth it because of placements.
Faculty: Teachers are helpful, qualified, and knowledgeable. They are fully prepared before every lecture and give their best to deliver topics. They will make sure we understand all topics. Exams are based on VTU, and they are pretty easy to tackle because of the faculty members.
Other: Fests organised are okay.

The faculty is poor and not knowledgeable. The placements are decent, but the infrastructure is bad.
Placements: Only a few people are getting placed in recent times, with approximately 20% getting placed. The highest package is 16 LPA, the lowest is 2 LPA, and the average is 6 LPA. Bosch and Fidelity are a few of the top recruiters. Only a handful of students are getting internships at Oracle and Fidelity, mainly as Software Developers.
Infrastructure: There are no Wi-Fi facilities, and the quality of living is poor. The hostel is barely livable, and the classrooms are poorly maintained. Everything is dirty and not cleaned often, and the toilets are miserable. They are usable. The hostel is also just barely livable.
Faculty: Teachers have minimal knowledge, and the curriculum is based on VTU, which does not make us industry-ready. Most students pass, as we can clear the backlogs, but some fail and clear them later during the re-exam. Since it is VTU, it is very money-focused, and they will harass you if you are close to failing to earn money through evaluation.
Other: CSE is the best course our college offers, so I chose it. The campus and quality of living need improvement. We should be made more industry-ready rather than being taught irrelevant things.

Dissatisfied because of faculty (C-programming) and infrastructure is short, but good facilities.
Placements: Well, I don't know much about that, but what I heard from seniors is not to depend on college placements. We know that the average package is 7 LPA and the highest is less than 30 LPA. I am from the 1st year in this college, and top recruiters are Amazon, etc.
Infrastructure: This college has better infrastructure, and also canteens are available on the campus with good quality of food. But the main disadvantage of this college is that the area of the campus is very small, and it feels congested. You can see a dental college, law college, and MBA college within 100 meters, but the college is in the city center.
Faculty: Exams are above average; it is very difficult to score 100 percent, but it is somewhat easy to pass. In exams, some lecturers correct papers liberally, and some lecturers correct very strictly, but it depends on the lecturers in this Bangalore Institute of Technology.
Other: If the student is from KCET, the fee for one year is 1,07,000, and the extra fee is 28,000. If you stay in the college hostel, it costs about 1,30,000. The total sum costs more than ten lakhs for 4 years, even from a government seat. If the seat is management, it costs a total of 40 lakhs for 4 years, where 10 lakhs per year; however, it is not value for money. I would give 3 stars for that, but campus life is ultimately good.

The teaching faculty is not that good, but we can expect good placements.
Placements: In the CSE department, around 70 percent of students have got placed. The highest package is 58 LPA in Microsoft (off-campus), the lowest is 4 LPA, and the average package is 7 to 8 LPA. Top companies are Fidelity Investments, Cisco, Everts, Dell, Oracle, and Goldman Sachs. 20 percent of students got an internship in Amazon, Cisco, Fidelity Investments, Oracle, and Goldman Sachs. Roles offered include SDE, Java Developer, Full Stack Developer, Business Analyst, and Data Analyst.
Infrastructure: The facilities and infrastructure are good. There is Wi-Fi available, and the library is quite good. The food quality is good for lunch and dinner, but the breakfast is not always good. There are no sports and games facilities, but medical facilities are available. If there is any medical emergency, they will help out.
Faculty: In VTU, it's not about the teachers, but in our college, a few teachers are well-qualified and explain well, which helps the students. However, not every teacher explains well. I would rate the teaching quality around 3. It depends on how you self-study, as not every teacher is good at explaining concepts. I would say the course curriculum doesn’t make you industry-ready; we have to study extra courses and apply them practically. The semester exams are a little tough because it’s a university. The pass percentage would be around 60 to 70%.
Other: I chose this course because it is an edge for the information technology domain. The best thing about this course is that you can apply your knowledge to build websites and implement your thoughts practically. I wish I had known about the internship opportunities and the coding languages I should have learned before joining this course, as that might have helped me. The college organizes a fest once every two years. The campus crowd is fine, and the alumni network is huge. The campus is actually located in the center of the city.
