College facilities were not good.
Placements: Our college has average placements. During my college period, around 40% of students get placements from my batch. The highest package offered in my batch was 6 lpa, and the average package offered was 3 lpa. The top recruiting companies were TCS, Infosys, Wipro, Tata technologies, Reliance, etc. Around 70% of students get internships too.
Infrastructure: Our college had no Wi-Fi facility on the campus. Labs in the college were well-equipped with all the necessary instruments. The college had a spacious library in the department. College classrooms were large and had proper seating. There was no hostel facility provided to me. The infrastructure of the college was good.
Faculty: All the teachers were qualified and knowledgeable. They were very supportive of the students, and students could contact teachers anytime regarding their doubts. Teachers used to supervise experiments. Exams in the college were easy to pass.

Satisfied because of the placements, faculty, and curriculum.
Placements: I've completed industrial engineering and management from Bangalore Institute of Technology, and it is the best engineering college in Bangalore. Professors are too good. Placements are excellent. You will get complete theoretical and practical knowledge about your particular branch of engineering. Bosch, JP Morgan, Societe General, Microsoft, and Accenture are the top recruiting companies. Around 80% of students get jobs and internships. The top roles offered are software engineer, SCM trainee etc.
Infrastructure: The canteen food is very good, and the infrastructure is average. The infrastructure is not really appreciated. The classrooms are good, and so is the library. The quality of food is really good in the canteen and mess. There's no ground to practice sports. Medical facilities are provided immediately because of the presence of KIMS hospital on the same campus.
Faculty: The teachers are really helpful, and most of the professors hold PhD. They are very knowledgeable. They give practical assignments to understand the concepts, and they are very genuine and helpful. The course is according to the norms of Vishwesvaraya Technology University, so it makes students industry-ready. It is not difficult to pass exams if we attend classes regularly and take help from faculty to understand topics. 90% is the pass percentage, and the professors make us ready for exams.
Other: I chose industrial engineering and management because I was interested in mechanical and industrial studies. The best thing about the course is I've got both practical and theoretical knowledge which made me industry-ready. More practical teaching will improve the course. Fests are the best part of college. It was really fun. The events from Rotaract and lions club are helpful to society.

The good and great aspects of BIT Bangalore.
Placements: Placements in the college for our stream were average. Our class strength was 60, and nine students got placed in Accenture with a salary package of 3.50 LPA, and three students got placed in a startup company called NinjaCart with a salary package of 3 LPA. Ernst and Young hired one student with a salary package of 4.20 LPA, and 2 students got placed in Bosch with salary packages of 4 LPA. BIT has a placement cell which is quite useful for students. Our college placement record is above average. CS and IT branches are the most in demand among recruiters, and the civil branch is usually ignored during placements.
Infrastructure: The weak point of BIT is its infrastructure. The college was established in 1979 in the heart of Bangalore. BIT has a 7-storey building with the major departments getting a floor each for themselves. The mechanical and IEM branches have their individual blocks which were still being renovated when we passed out in June 2018. However, labs are equipped with university accredited tools and machinery. The classrooms could remind you of your old schools. The canteen is a good place to hang out with mostly South-Indian food items offered in the menu.
Faculty: BIT has a great faculty team of teachers, professors and HODs. They come from the best colleges in India and abroad. They have vast teaching experience, and they are very friendly with the students. Industrial trips were organised once a year. The course curriculum is at par with Visvesvaraya Technological University (VTU) guidelines with BIT being the best college under VTU.
Other: The fest organised in the college is named Manthan. It is organised in the even semester and mostly at the end of March. It's one of the most happening college fests of Bangalore. BIT is located in the heart of Bangalore, VV Puram, which makes it very travel-friendly. The major areas of Bangalore are within a radius of 10 kilometres.

Placements in the college are good, but the infrastructure is average.
Placements: Companies that visited for the recent batch are less in number compared to the previous batch. Core companies like L&T, Mu Sigma and Bosch visited the campus. Mass recruiters such as Accenture and Wipro didn't recruit students from IEM this time, but other companies are still visiting, and the placements seem to be decent enough.
Infrastructure: There is no spacious campus as there are many colleges located in the same compound. Only a few classrooms are good with new desks, and most of the classrooms have old and worn out desks. There are 2-3 buildings for different departments. Labs are good enough, but some machines in some labs are very old and not in working condition.
Faculty: Faculty members for physics and mathematics are excellent. Whereas, the faculty members for other subjects are average. Most of the teachers have a masters degree which makes them qualified enough to teach the concepts, but a few of them are not able to impart their knowledge to the students.
Other: Manthan is the official fest held in even semesters and rest other events are okay.

Dissatisfied because of infrastructure and placements.
Placements: The placements are good for computer science and electrical and communication branches. But it all depends on the student's hard work. They won't teach you about aptitude which is important for placements. To overcome this problem, they should take classes for aptitude once a week from the 5th semester so that students can have the capability to think in a different way which may be useful for their project work also.
Infrastructure: The infrastructure is average. There is no ground in the college, and the labs were not that much posh looking. The toilets are in worst condition, especially in my branch which is separate from the main block. The building maintenance was also not good; my classroom desks were very dusty but they won't clean up.
Faculty: Coming to the faculty, some lecturers are good while some are the worst. So, on an average, they are not bad. Coming to the course curriculum, they follow it strictly and try to complete the syllabus within time to leave us free for preparation.
Other: Fests are reduced to 2 days, so they do not encourage the students in all aspects.

Delighted with the placements, but infrastructure has to improve.
Placements: Our college is known for its good placements. If you score 60% and above, there is 80% chance of getting placed irrespective of the branch you are from. So, you could say that if you're looking to get a job right after engineering and you're sure you can have an aggregate of 60% or above, then this is the college to study in.
Infrastructure: It is not a very good looking college. It consists of just 2-3 huge buildings that are not really well maintained and hence, you could give it a 3 out of 5 for the infrastructure. The parking facility is also not up to the mark, having to park elsewhere is a problem as well.
Faculty: Many of the teachers and the faculty are appointed based on their merits, achievements and qualifications. There is no problem in this field where the teachers are very helpful and approachable, but again, there are few exceptions as well with respect to a bunch of teachers.
Other: Manthan, the inter-college fest, takes place every even semester.

An apartment which holds the students and runs a religious institution.
Placements: Placements in our college were comparatively low than the previous year. It is coming down year by year. The management is irresponsible in taking care of the pre-placement training, and no proper intimation regarding the companies policy and criteria. When you get into the placement office, none will be available to help you out. It is just a religious group running the institution.
Infrastructure: It is just an apartment with no proper playground. Hence, all the sports activities will be carried out somewhere else. The washrooms are not maintained well. They used to be public toilets. There is no elegant space, garden traces in our college. Parking is the biggest trouble we are facing for the last three years.
Faculty: Most of the teachers never aim to make the students knowledgeable. They just want to concentrate on the exam part. They always teach only for the exam purpose. The other staff like attender and lab in charge dominate the professors in the labs. It is all the religious group support.
Other: I haven't heard about the events in my college. Once in a quarter, they organise blood donation because they own a hospital for which they need blood.

BIT- a top-notch placements and faculty members with a satisfactory infrastructure.
Placements: Well, being one of the first few engineering colleges in Bangalore BIT certainly has a good recognition and reputation among the top companies in Bangalore as well as India. Over 65 world-class companies approach BIT for their campus drives. The campus placements usually start in the 7th semester of the engineering. I can confidently say that at least a 20 students out of the 25 eligible ones will have an offer from the campus. Ther average annual package offered by the IT companies would be Rs. 3.5 LPA and that by a core company for IEM would be Rs. 3 LPA to Rs. 5 LPA. In general, the range of the packages can be between Rs. 2.5 LPA and Rs. 13 LPA. The top companies that visited the campus include Amazon, Zomato, BookMyShow, Accenture, Infosys, E&Y, HP, Cisco, Bosch, Siemens, etc.
Infrastructure: BIT ranks low when it comes to the infrastructure. The college is pretty old, and so are the four main buildings it has. The labs are pretty under-equipped. While some efforts are being made to upgrade the entire infrastructure, it seems to be very gradual and slow. The college doesn't provide free Wi-Fi on the campus. The classrooms are pretty old with the wooden benches. The BITs libraries are well endowed. It has a good collection of books. It has a digital library as well. The sports facilities are limited, but everyone is encouraged to participate. The hostel rooms are satisfactory.
Faculty: We have the best faculty in the town. They are well versed with their subjects. Each of them has the very good amount of experience and have done wonders in their respective fields. They are motivating and guide the students not just to stick on to their prescribed textbooks, but also to take up the other projects and activities. The college organises a lot of industrial visits and gives a good overall industry exposure. The annual cultural fest of BIT, called as Manthan, is something that every student cherishes.

Many have gone onto doing impressive higher studies. It is also located in quite a central location of the city and hence very acce
