The college has good infrastructure and supportive faculty with decent placements.

Placements: Basaveshwar Engineering College has a decent placement record, especially in IT and core branches, with an average package ranging between 3.5 to 5 LPA. Many reputed companies like TCS, Infosys, Accenture and Bosch visit the campus for recruitment. The college also provides strong placement training and internship opportunities, helping a majority of students secure jobs before graduation.

Infrastructure: Basaveshwar Engineering College offers good facilities for students. My department, Information Science and Engineering, has well-equipped labs, high-speed Wi-Fi, smart classrooms and a central library with plenty of resources. The hostel facilities are okay. Rooms are clean and basic needs are taken care of. The food in the mess is average, but the canteen gives more options.

Faculty: Faculty in our department are helpful and knowledgeable. Most of them are well-qualified and teach with both academic and practical approaches. The course is relevant and aligned with current industry standards. It helps in building a strong base for placements or higher studies.

Good placements and has good campus environment.

Placements: There are more than 120 students in our batch. The highest among all the other courses of our batch. We have highest strength students. The highest package is 15 LPA, and the lowest is approximately 2.2 LPA or 3.2 LPA in the course information science.

Infrastructure: There are many labs available on our campus. There is one library and classrooms are pretty good. Engineering life is the best life. I am not a hosteller but the hostel is pretty good. Mess is also well and there is a canteen on our campus.

Faculty: Teachers are also responsible and cooperative with the students. They are qualified, experienced, skilled, and knowledgeable about the topic. The semester exams are strictly conducted. The passing percentage is 40% including internal marks.

Other: This course is pretty good and it's highly prioritized on our campus. There will be no events conducted. If they conduct then it will be about studies and they call it an event.

A good college for students’ career building.

Placements: The highest placements package offered in the college is 15 lacs per annum and the lowest is a minimum of 3.5 Lacs per annum. We get almost all the good companies to visit for on-campus interviews. All top companies hire our college’s students. But one disappointment is that only a few branches get high paying job offers from companies.

Infrastructure: Infrastructure and the facilities are better here. There is a huge library with collections of many books related to the courses. There is a separate newspaper reading and magazine reading hall along with a huge separate space for studying. Classroom facilities are all good with smart boards and latest technologies.

Faculty: The college has almost all the faculty members having an experience of more than 8 years. All the teachers teach well making sure the students understand, except a few. The exams are conducted in a serious manner and the subjects seem to be a bit difficult in the first year. But eventually, we get adjusted with the subjects and we find them interesting.

Good teaching and good placements.

Placements: The college has one of the best programs at Basaveshwar Engineering College, with 730 placements in 2023. The highest LPA in 2023 is INR 7 lacs per annum. There are no restrictions. TCS, HCL, Mahindra, Infosys, and others have been there, and CS has more placement offers in our college.

Infrastructure: The facilities are good, and the Wi-Fi, canteen, and medical services are helpful at your college. The mess is good for INR 50000 per year, and there is good food, some special sweets, and daily evening snacks provided. Medical facilities and games are also available in the college.

Faculty: The teachers are helpful in our college, and knowledge is more important in our college. The course is useful to our college, which needs to understand our department. The internship is also available in our department, and we get it in our 6th semester.

Other: Fest and surroundings are clean and scholarship is provided.

Our college provides good placements and infrastructure.

Placements: In our college, almost 90% of students got placed. The highest salary package offered was 15 LPA and the lowest salary package offered was 2.4 LPA. Top recruiting companies like TCS, Infosys, Wipro, Continental, Tech Mahindra, Infogain, Agni, Girmiti, etc., visited our campus. Almost 30% of students got internships. Top role offered was software engineer.

Infrastructure: The library had outdated books and a smaller stock of textbooks. Our classrooms were clean and comfortable. The college had both indoor and outdoor playgrounds. The hostel rooms were good. The quality of the food was not good. Wi-Fi was not available.

Faculty: Our teachers gave us more theoretical knowledge and less practical knowledge. The syllabus was outdated. The course was not helpful for the industry. Whatever we learned in college was completely different from what was expected in industry. Semester exams were difficult. The pass percentage was 60%.

Other: I chose this course because of my interest in programming. They had to focus on updating the syllabus. There was no fest or event conducted by our department.

Good infrastructure and facilities. Good placements for the batch of 2021 pass out.

Placements: Almost 90 percent of the students have been placed this year who have just passed out. The highest package is 9LPA and the least one is around 3LPA, the average package offered was 5-6LPA. There were almost top recruiting companies this year like Infosys, Wipro, TCS, Amazon, Google and many more. Almost 80-90 percent of the students got internships and placements in our Information Science department. Our batch is yet to face all the stages in this college. Overall it is a good college in the view of teachings and placements.

Infrastructure: There is Wi-Fi available for the 3rd and the 4th year students in the hostel and in the college it is available for everyone. Labs have a well-maintained infrastructure with all the equipment available. Our college is the topmost college in north Karnataka for the equipment available in the labs and their maintenance. Classrooms are well ventilated and have all the facilities for the projectors, blackboard, seating arrangements and smart class facilities. The library is also good with all the books available and the space for reading. Hostel is well maintained with all the facilities available.

Faculty: Teachers are well educated and are qualified and knowledgeable also. They all help a lot with our curriculum and academics. The course is relevant and makes the students ready for the interns and the industries. The pass percentage of our course is about 70-80 this year.

Other: Events and fests are not much entertained in this college but few events are conducted. Connectivity is good and the campus is huge. Scholarships are also provided.

Teachers are good, and it is a very great thing in this college.

Placements: In our college, almost 90% of students are placed. The highest salary package offered is 12 LPA, and the lowest salary package offered is 3.5 LPA. Top recruiting companies like Oppo, TCS, HP, Wipro, etc., visited the campus. The highest salary package offered in our course is 12 LPA, and the lowest salary package offered is 3.5 LPA. All interested students are allowed to take an internship.

Infrastructure: In our college Wi-Fi facility is available for more accurate, labs are very cleaned and productive. I like classrooms in this college and old chalk pieces are used by teachers. Our library is very big on south campus and has a lot of books and knowledgeable grand. Mess food is also good. This college gives less importance to sports.

Faculty: The main important thing is the teachers. I am very grateful to have tremendous teachers in this college, and they have more interest to teach students. They all are well qualified and knowledgeable. They teach for our future responses and give industry importance.

Other: I have chosen this course because I have some understanding of the computer. Execution is the best thing about my course. They should provide skills to develop our mental ability. Events conducted are good. They allow students to apply for only one scholarship.

It is a good college with good infrastructure and poor placements.

Placements: Placements in college are poor. None of the good companies visited the campus for placements. There is much of partiality, inner influence, etc. I recommend not to join this college keeping placement as the main target. Companies visiting the college are not even a handful. None of the core companies visited the campus for placements. The salary package offered was around 2-3 LPA. Internships were not allowed here. The worst part is that academics are more important than internships.

Infrastructure: All facilities provided by the college are good. There are smart classrooms, semi furnished labs, and well-equipped labs. The college provides 4G Wi-Fi facility. There is an awesome library. There is a reading room which can accommodate 100 people at a time. There is a huge ground for sports like cricket, volleyball, basketball, and badminton. I didn't face any issues regarding the infrastructure of the college during my tenure.

Faculty: Faculty members in the college are well-mannered and well-disciplined. They are co-operative, helpful, and well qualified. They emphasise more on theoretical than practicality. I believe what you do is what you understand. I did not get any industry exposure through college. Overall I would rate 7 out of 10 for faculty of the information science department.
