The infrastructure is better. Faculty could be more better and the placement is the worst.
Placements: Placements in our college are not very good. Barely four companies visit, and two of them, focused on women empowerment, only recruit girls. They created an Elite 60 by selecting the top 60 students and trained them for packages above 15 LPA, but no companies actually came for placement. Overall, the college placements are the worst.
Infrastructure: The infrastructure in our college is good. There is 24-hour Wi-Fi throughout the campus. Classrooms are small, but they are currently being modified and made more beautiful. In labs, computers are old versions and not updated. The library is good, and hostels are better.
Faculty: Faculty members are average. They do not fully know subjects they are handling, they learn and then come to teach. If a doubt is asked, they often don’t know the answer. But, there are a few lecturers who are good. As for exams, internals and final exams are conducted as per the schedule.
Other: I chose Information Science. Improvements that should be made include having skilled lecturers to provide proper knowledge. Events and fests are not conducted as expected.

Not at all a good college for placements and fake marketing.
Placements: Roughly 20-30 students are placed, and the college people put fake placement numbers. The highest package is 7 LPA and the lowest is 2 LPA. 5% of students got internships in Bosch and KodNest. Role offered is software developer. From 1000 final year students only less than 50 students got placed. It is a worst college for placements.
Infrastructure: The infrastructure is good having unlimited Wi-Fi, a good library, and the canteens are good but the mess is bad. There is no preference for sports, only study, and they charge us money for every small thing. Hostel is good with three-sharing and two-sharing rooms with attached bathrooms.
Faculty: Teachers are not all qualified, we watch YouTube and prepare for exams. We are under VTU so the curriculum is old but is essential in software engineering. The exams are at a moderate level and if you study 1 week earlier you can easily pass with good grades as well.

Overall college was good.
Placements: Almost 80% of the students were placed in Information Science and Technology branch. The highest package was 12 LPA. The lowest package was 120000. The average package was 3 LPA. The top recruiting companies were Infosys, Emphasys, TCS, IBM, and Robortbosch. 90% plus students got internships.
Infrastructure: The Infrastructure was great. The facilities were free Wi-Fi and a hygienic environment. We have a medium-sized well-maintained classroom. The class were equipped with audio and visual, blackboard and whiteboard. The library is good. The hostel infrastructure was good canteen food was average.
Faculty: The teacher was good. They were qualified but not up to the mark. Students were Industry ready by their efforts. The curriculum was good as we had many technical forums and events conducted. As IS was about information research the curriculum is relevant.

The college is good with all facilities for students.
Placements: The college provides good placements. Till now, more than 200 students got placed in many different reputed companies. Before conducting drives, the placement department conducts training for students for the betterment of students, which in turn helps students to get placements.
Infrastructure: The college provides good Wi-Fi facility for students. All the branches have a sufficient number of labs with news version systems. Classrooms are good, and they are not suffocating. The library contains a good number of books like curriculum books, aptitude, English and some novels. The college also provides a digital library.
Faculty: Our college is under Visveswaraiah Technological University, so teachers taught subjects as per university guidelines. Workshops are conducted about new technologies and skills. Faculty members are Knowledgeable, and they help students in all the ways to solve their problems.

The college has good infrastructure and facilities.
Placements: A lot of companies visit our college, like IT, non-IT and core companies, for placements. They conduct pool campus drives, namely Infosys and Tech Systems, which are new, and they provided good job opportunities, which made students race. There is a placement cell in our college with a TPO who informs the students about the visiting schedules of all companies.
Infrastructure: Our college has an excellent infrastructure with labs, libraries, and placement cells. Our college provides a good LAN facility. There are 100 PCs in each lab, and our college provides online exam centers. We have a health care center in our college, where hostel students are benefited. We have a good library where we have departmental textbooks and reference books. We also have sports events, and our college takes part at the state level.
Faculty: We have professional lecturers who are well qualified. They inspire us with their experiences about their career and academics. They teach the students with the help of PPTs and whiteboards, which are well accessible. They provide information about the companies, how they work with planning, and guide them on new technologies and concepts that the companies require.
Other: Our college conducts events like Delta, Mallika, and Ethnic day, wherein Mallika is the competition between branches in dancing, singing, creative work, paintings etc. In the ethnic day events, we bring up traditions of different states and festivals.

Don't expect the placement here.
Placements: The placements offered for our senior batch students was not good and not many IT companies or MNC companies visited our college. Most of the companies visited were BPO companies. Only 51 % students, i.e., 217 students were placed in the year 2017 out of 430 students. The highest salary offered was about 3,6000 PA which is relatively low as compared with the other college's recruitment. The average salary offered was about 2,40000 PA which is about 20,000 PM. Most of the roles offered for the students was a software developer and software tester. As long as the internship is considered, no internships were provided from the college that would be zero percentage, an internship helps the students to understand the working nature, how to handle the working situation and all but in GMIT'S case that is zero. The companies such as West Line, IBM, Tech Mahindra, Tory Harris, Spiders, NIT DATA, SEC, Adv Ant Edge, SEC, Sriram Transport and Finance company Ltd are the companies visited the campus till now. So overall the placement of the college is not good.
Infrastructure: The GMIT college campus is spread about 45 acres of land. The college infrastructure is relatively good, but the facilities provided are average. The whole campus is Wi-Fi enabled, but the speed capacity they provide is poor. Every department has a sufficient required laboratories which have all the necessary equipment. The classrooms are also good, every classroom contains a separate projector for the teaching purpose. The college library is good which also contains the digital library through which it helps to access the library books database. The medical facilities are provided throughout the week. As long as the food in the canteen or cafeteria is considered, the quality of the food provided is worst. The hostel rooms are quite good and are managed properly.
Faculty: I would say my experience with the faculty was somewhat good and helpful and somewhat not good. The faculty of the department are all qualified, but when it comes to knowledge, they lag behind. If the questions anything outside the syllabus is asked it becomes hard for them to elaborate the thing. The teaching methods used were good in my perspective. The interaction between the teachers and students were also good. The student-faculty ratio is about 6:1 in my perspective. Industry exposure was zero while my time in the college. The course curriculum was useful. It helped in understanding the basics.
Other: As long as transportation is considered, GMIT has a good transportation service to pick up and drop the students from their local residencies. GMIT has around 14- 16 college buses for the sake of the student's transportation around the local areas. They are facilitated with well-experienced drivers to ensure the safe transport throughout. They have another rule that all books, records must be bought from their respective society which is situated rite next to the canteen.

Descriptive placements and poor faculty. Overall, it has a disappointing college experience.
Placements: The placements and promotions are fake. Poor students face a lot of misleading activities and waste time in the name of training. Programming teachers have no programming knowledge. All they say is do this, do that, which is of no use. Faculty is not helpful at all. Please avoid this college.
Infrastructure: Very good. When it comes to the campus, it is very clean, and the toilets are much cleaner than those in other colleges I have seen so far. They are cleaned regularly. There are no complaints about the campus except for the camps. Everything else is bad, but the camps are very good.
Faculty: Very bad. All faculty members are alumni of their college. Faculty does not know programming and only gives assignments, which are of no use. Everything they teach is outdated, and there is no placement support for students.
Other: We get nothing in this college.

The infrastructure is good, but when it comes to placements, I am not satisfied.
Placements: Our seniors get placed in only 40 to 50% of companies. Last year, almost everyone in our branch received an average package of 4 LPA. Infosys, Capgemini, IBM, and TCS are the top recruiters in our college. Many students lack proper internship facilities, and many do not get good internships.
Infrastructure: GMIT campus has the best infrastructure facilities in Davanagere. Labs have the latest equipment and computers with high-speed Wi-Fi. However, sometimes the food quality is not good, and insects are found in the food. The campus has a hygienic canteen and a large playground with cricket and basketball grounds.
Faculty: Lectures are good at explaining things and are very supportive to students in upskilling their technical and non-technical skills. However, some junior lecturers are not very good and are sometimes assigned difficult subjects, which leads to students not understanding properly. There is a good passing percentage in GMIT.
Other: Mallika Inter College fest is conducted every year, which contains many technical and cultural activities. The toppers who score a CGPA of about 9.5 are provided with 10g, and if they maintain this consistently for 4 years, they receive a full tuition fee refund in the final year.
