I have wasted my 4 years in this college. There are no good academics and college life.

Placements: Placements are nice here, but for mechanical engineering students, they are less. The salary offered to us ranges from Rs. 10,000 to 20,000 per month. I don't know how many students got placed, but from our batch, about 10 students or more got placed. Internships conducted here were less because of our college doesn't encourage that. We tried on our own for internships, but they didn't allow us to do. There is a placement cell, and it is not very efficient. However, it is a little help to get small jobs.

Infrastructure: The infrastructure of our college is good, and there are 2 blocks. Every block is sprawled over 3 floors. There is no huge campus, and our college has a hostel for boys and girls. There are two separate buildings, and one block is the main block which consists of all 1st-year students and other streams except for mechanical and civil. The other block is only for civil and mechanical students.

Faculty: Faculty members of the mechanical branch are average, and our HOD is good. But the other staff members are not much qualified and knowledgeable. However, they are helpful if we are good with them. It is a strict college, and academics provided in our college are poor. Staff members mostly speak in Tamil, so it was hard for us to understand. We got industry exposure. The course curriculum is not that useful.

Other: Small events are conducted here like seminars, but there was no college day or arts festival in our 4 years of tenure. However, a sports day was conducted. Scholarships are provided to Tamil students.

Good engineer from a good college.

Placements: About 40-50% of the students got placed. The salary offered ranges from Rs. 20,000 to Rs. 75,000 per month. TVS, Asus, etc., are the top recruiting companies. Top roles offered are quality engineer, production engineer, automobile engineering, control system, designing, etc. Almost 60 to 70% of the students from our course got an internship.

Infrastructure: The campus has high teaching facilities, such as a well-equipped lab with all the required equipment, and a large library with many books. The hostel food is very neat and clean. It is also very hygienically prepared. There are many games provided in our college. There is a canteen with multiple snacks.

Faculty: Faculty members are very good and they helped in our studies. They are very knowledgeable, and some staff are very helpful in our careers and advise us to become good engineers. The course is relevant to our subject. The question paper is around medium to tough. Around 50-65% of students pass.

Other: I have chosen mechanical engineering because it is the best course in the engineering field. Our college conducts various events, college fest, teach fest, etc., especially in our department. They conduct a technical conference and symposium every year.
