I am dissatisfied because there were no placements for our batch 2017.
Placements: Students did not get placed in our course. The salary package was not offered because of lack of companies were offering a job, and no companies visited the campus. About 1or 2% of students got an internship from our batch and no packages offered to students, and companies do not visit our college.
Infrastructure: Facilities provided in our college are Wi-Fi without password, classrooms are fine, but the library is very good, and there are a lot of books for reading, and the atmosphere of the library is good for studies. I am not a hosteler, so I don't know anything about hostels.
Faculty: Some teachers are helpful, and some are not. Mainly the head of our department is not fine for our batch. They all are well qualified, but some of them have no proper idea how to teach. Knowledge of teachers is very good, but some have no teaching qualities.

I think opting for engineering in this institute is a waste of money and time.
Placements: There are no placements for the mechanical branch. It is a waste of money and time. The number of companies visiting the campus is very less. The college doesn't take any responsibility for placements of students. The placements are negligible in the campus and degree is of not much value with a tag of BGIET. So, off-campus placement is also a difficult process.
Infrastructure: The college infrastructure is average. The college is situated on Chandigarh Bathinda highway and nearer to Sangrur district. Location-wise, it is a good college.
Faculty: The faculty are experienced, but their way of teaching is not appropriate. The practical knowledge provided is very limited. No industrial exposure is provided to students. Some teachers don't have knowledge of their own subjects. Completion of the course is sometimes not possible due to lack of seriousness of teachers.
Other: The extracurricular activities are available but are less in number. Various tournaments are organised by the college.

Dissatisfied because of the management and faculty.
Placements: The placements are not good in our college. The companies like BPO or customer service are coming for the placements. The college does not provide core companies or technical job. The placement of the students per year is like 10% out of 100%. The highest stipend offered was about 5 lacs per annum to 6 lacs per annum only. The placement cell is there, but it is not so useful.
Infrastructure: The classrooms are of medium size. There are three labs, but equipment is not worthy. We have lack of faculty. The Wi-Fi facility is there on the campus, but it is not working properly. The canteen is simple. The food quality is good. The hostel rooms are fine, but sometimes, cooler might not work. You will have to pay fine without your fault if anything happens. I faced many issues during my tenure at the college like Wi-Fi problem, faculty issue, and project related issue.
Faculty: The faculty are good, but they taught in Punjab which is not understood by many outsiders. Some faculty are really good in knowledge. Industrial exposures are not done during my period. There are some faculty members, who helps, but management doesn't help any students. They are just doing their business of printing of money. The courses are good, but in Punjab language, it is difficult to understand. Annual fest is held for only one day.
Other: If anyone wants to do some project, then faculty will say you start your work, and we will help, but at the time, they refuse to help. We have the same answer that management will not provide you money and student has to take the Infor project. The faculty were just teaching and taking the test in minors. The management is bad. For any kind of reason, they need fine. Even we have Rs. 700 as the examination fee and they asked 710 from all the students, so imagine how they earn.
