My college review - Bhavans College

Placements: The placement cell in Bhavans college provides various job and internship opportunities to the students of various domains. Many big companies like TCS, Tech Mahindra, etc, also many startup companies visit college to hire the students. The highest package offered in my course was 4 LPA.

Infrastructure: The infrastructure of the Bhavans college provides an excellent studying and career enriching environment to the students so that they make themselves more skillful. Various facilities like playground, library, labs, etc. are present in the college for student's betterment.

Faculty: The faculties of my college are excellent and very empathetic. They help students anytime they want. More than teaching, they also participate in other events with students. The exams are conducted in every six months as per the syllabus defined by the college.

Other: Various fests like O2, Hackathon etc are arranged for the students.

College is good but IT department is not good.

Placements: There is no hope for any placement at this college. There are very few students placed in my college; for example, out of 60, only 2 or 3 were placed and they were placed because of the references of faculty members. Students have to go off campus for placements. There is a placement cell but it is not active. They also provide some WhatsApp group links for placement-related information but this group has very little opportunity for IT or CS students.

Infrastructure: Bhavans is famous for its beautiful nature experience and great amount of greenery and anyone on campus can experience this feeling. This is the reason that it is among the top colleges in Mumbai. The buildings and classrooms are very good and clean. Inside campus, their is also a xerox counter and a canteen is also available. The canteen offers snacks but they are very costly.

Faculty: The course syllabus is up-to-date and aligns with the requirements of the industry. But as Bhavans is an autonomous college, they organize their own syllabus and sometimes they reduce important topics that students must learn. The exam pattern is slightly different in that they track one unit and take CIA (Continuous Internal Assessment) and faculty take 2-3 tests for each subject before the main semester exam. The semester exam is well organized, and in the question paper, topics that were taught in lecture are asked.

Other: The overall experience of my course at Bhavans College is that it is famous and has the best campus, which is why I took admission here. The faculty is very polite and will solve your queries at their best. The library environment is very quiet and good. The syllabus is different compared to other colleges because it is autonomous. Most of the topics you should have to learn by yourself. And if you encounter any problems, you can contact faculty members. The most important part of being an IT student at this college is the computer lab. It is good and they literally have a legacy system till now, which means that some PCs work and some may have problems while running any project or task. The schedule of college is so tight that you have to come early in the morning and come back in the afternoon.

You can choose Bhavans College for degree. It will be worth it.

Placements: In the first year, there were around 150 students in a class but in the second year, it was reduced to 70 students. Many companies come to Bhavans College, but they are not high-value in the market; they are all small businesses. In the last semester, when they started the placement cell, around 5–6 people got placement in that.

Infrastructure: Bhavans College is vast in space; it also has a lake, garden, football ground and Shiv Mandir in it. Lab assistants are perfect in the college; they are best in the college; they are always available when we need any help from them. They also provide high-speed Wi-Fi connections.

Faculty: Teachers are well educated but sometimes we don't understand the concept. This depends on the student's grasping power. Courses do not provide industry-ready study because they only teach subjects that don't include high context. Pass percentage in college is 23 out of 60 in each subject.

Other: I like to work with computer I am from the commerce stream; I chose BSC IT at Bhavans College. I scored 87% in the 12th so I easily got placed in it. You can go to Bhavans College, which also conducts various events such as the O2 Fest and many more. It also has a gymkhana in the college.

My honest college review to all.

Placements: The college offers several job as well as internship opportunities in various multinational companies like TCS, Wipro, Teach Mahindra, Accenture, etc. This year, the highest package offered to the students was around 5 LPA, and the lowest was around 1.8 LPA.

Infrastructure: The college has a very awesome infrastructure for their students to deliver the best possible education in the best possible manner. The infrastructure of the college consists of a playground, library, classrooms, labs, etc. The college doesn't have any hostels for their students.

Faculty: The college has autonomy status granted by the University of Mumbai, which allows it to alter its syllabus and way of education. Hence, the curriculum for the courses is decided by the college itself. The exams are conducted in a semester-wise pattern.

The college itself doesn't have any hostel for the students. Students are required to search for the hostel of their own.
