Review of Kelkar Education Trust's V.G.Vaze College of Arts, Science and Commerce.
Placements: Less than 10% of students get placed yearly. The highest package offered in recent years is 6 LPA. The average package is around 3 LPA. TCS was the top recruiting company in recent years. 20% of students get internship placements; college helps with internship placements.
Infrastructure: College provides good facilities and air-conditioned labs for IT courses. Various libraries are there in college; a library for SFC course is there. Wi-Fi is not provided; it is only provided to students managing activities or events. The college canteen is always open. College has a gymkhana for sports-related activities.
Faculty: Teachers are helpful and qualified but teaching quality seems only above average. The course gets you somewhat ready for industry but teachers help you get internships. Teachers need to be a little less rude to students. Semester exams are not hard to crack if a student studies a little, though they can't be crammed the night before the exam.
Other: The IT course is for software-related enthusiasts. You are provided labs and PCs with teachers permission for extra practice.

The college is reputed and I personally SEE why it is an esteemed college to get into.
Placements: The placement opportunities generally seem to be quite promising, although it can vary from year to year. A few students secure jobs through campus placements while some might get offers from companies directly. Overall, it seems fair to say that the college provides a decent platform for placements.
Infrastructure: Infrastructure is quite old, but there are many amenities to make up for it. The IT lab is maintained well with modern tools to work with. Classrooms are quite big and can easily accommodate a huge batch. To say something about the course, I think it's fair to say that it's a promising field to get into for those who are passionate about it and want to discover it. Opportunities wait for those who seek them.
Faculty: NEP curriculum is followed and there are quite new developments from the previous holder syllabus. The curriculum focuses on the basis and builds upon it, although it may seem primitive it is core to many future concepts. The semester exams are quite easy to ace if one has a clear understanding of the subjects and ideally shouldn't face any issues.
Other: The annual college fest is quite an event and is desperately awaited by many. It is the first thing that strikes when the college name is mentioned. It's grand and lasts for 2 days, and consists of many small events. In all, there are many co-curricular activities taking place throughout the year.

The college has good infrastructure and maintenance.
Placements: College has the best teachers and management. Top companies like Wipro, AQM offer internships. They also conduct bulk hiring for students, and many get selected. Companies from every background offers job to everyone. I personally loved the environment of the college.
Infrastructure: The college is neat and tidy. The classrooms are not shabby. The Wi-Fi works fine only you have to login first. The library is very huge, and they have 2 libraries where you can study with your friends. The staff is very helpful and kind to help students. The canteen is also well done.
Faculty: The teachers were so helpful and concerned about students. Our teacher shaped us in a way to get us ready for the company environment. The semesters are difficult according to me. The practical should be attended compulsory otherwise it will affect your studies.

A brief description of V. G. Vaze College and B.sc IT course.
Placements: Placements take place for the students of B.sc IT. Well-reputed companies come for placements and students having 55% or above can apply for placements. The companies offer various job profiles in various fields. The placement cell in the college is very helpful to the students.
Infrastructure: Kelkar college has a roughly squarish building which has a ground in the center. There is a huge canteen on the ground floor, and there are office counters opposite to it. The IT labs are well-equipped with the latest technology. The college also has e-learning labs. There is free Wi-Fi facility available in the entire college. Common rooms for girls and boys are there on the ground floor. A huge library is situated on the first floor with all the books you may require. There are girls and boys washrooms on each corner of the floors.
Faculty: The faculty members of B.sc IT are well-qualified and knowledgeable. Quality of teaching is also good. The faculty use projector and screens to show presentations related to the curriculum. The B.sc IT course adopts its curriculum from the Mumbai University to which the college is affiliated. The faculty and the students of B.sc IT host an event every year in the labs wherein there are various competitions. This event takes place before the main annual fest of the college.
Other: The college is near the Mithagar area of Mulund East. It is 15 minutes walking distance from Mulund east station. The college hosts its annual fest called the Dimensions at the end of December. The campus crowd is very decent. Moreover, there are various events and activities that are going on all year round, which are hosted by various committees of the college. You can enhance your hobbies by participating in the college committees.

Absolutely satisfied because of faculty and good placement.
Placements: My experience of campus has been very interesting as I was placed in first 10 days of the season and I was also working full time
The ratio of girls over boys is too much, I don't know about other things but I like the placement in the college and like the Atmosphere.
Infrastructure: One of the reputed Science college in Mumbai
With awesome canteen and it also amazing institute for studies
All facilities are available teaching staff is excellent and it's best college for graduation
Location is very close to making station well connected.
Faculty: Teacher here are very helpful, well mannered qualified and knowledgeable. Teaching quality is very good, they have projector for lecture and using projector they can done very good task, group discussion are also held here for BSCIT, Wi-Fi is available here so we can connect our laptop or Mobile for studies.
Other: Every end of the season college announce dimension event, many colleges participate and visit.

Absolutely satisfied with faculty, good placement, really good infrastructure and facilities.
Placements: Many companies came for placement like TCS, Accenture, etc. All the companies are offering different salaries and incentives. The highest salary was offered by Barkless company and the lowest by Accenture. The lowest is Rs. 14,000 and the highest package is Rs. 25,000 per month. The roles of each and every company were different. I got selected in TCS with a salary package of Rs. 16,250 per month. It really helps me and gave a chance to work with such a reputed company, TCS.
Infrastructure: The infrastructure of Kelkar is awesome. It is one of the good infrastructure colleges of Mumbai. It has really a very good campus. The facilities like lab, library, Wi-Fi, canteen, all are good and have a very long space. It feels really great to be a part of such college. Its infrastructure really attracts to take admission in the college.
Faculty: The faculty are also very much good and educated, and their teaching capabilities are really professional. Most of the faculty are very friendly and helpful. Even today, they are in touch with us. They all used to teach us with examples, practical, videos, visual, presentation, etc. It is really great to have such faculty.
Other: Kelkar College is really one of the best colleges in Mumbai. It is full of education, friendship, enjoyment, studies, professionalism, training, learning, etc. It really make students more mature and capable to handle all hurdles in future. I learned a lot from my college.

Kelkar College is the best college for everything a student dreams or wishes to achieve in life.
Placements: Currently, placements are taking place in our college. The placements here are good. The placement committee gives us better companies. The students with a percentage of above 55% are eligible for placement. As I am currently studying in this college, Eclerx company is going to visit to take our interview. It's a finance company. According to me, the highest salary offered in our college was Rs. 25,000 PM. The roles offered were according to stream and interest and performance in the interview. We have a placement cell which is very helpful if we need any help or want to clear our doubts.
Infrastructure: Kelkar college is situated in Mulund East near the station, so it's not hard to locate Kelkar college. It takes 10-15 min to reach from the station by walk, and 5 minutes by auto. Washrooms are available on each and every floor for both boys and girls. Canteen which is the 1st most important need of every student is at the ground floor near the office. It has many tables to sit and eat and chitchat. It has amazing food taste and quality and maintains hygiene. The staff is very kind. We have a big ground right in the middle of our college where many functions are held. Dimensions is the most popular event which everyone loves to enjoy. We have chemistry labs and computers lab. A girls common room and boys common room at ground floor are available. The college has 5 floors and many classrooms. Wi-Fi is available. It has a big library. All books are available. Classrooms and labs are well maintained.
Faculty: Teachers here are very helpful, well mannered, qualified and knowledgeable. Teaching quality is good but needs to be improved more. They use projectors to play necessary videos through which it will be more easy to make the students understand. They take presentation on topics. Group discussions are also held. For BSCIT, we don't get any industry exposure.
Other: The college conducts many events in which Dimension is the biggest event. Many other college students visit our college for this event. The crowd is very kind.

Dissatisfied because of placements.
Placements: Placements are not provided by the college, so there is no placement facility. Not a single company came to hire us which was a very big loss of our batch because all students struggled for a job. Even I got selected in an off-campus drive. Most of my classmates got selected in off-campus drives as well. The college should take care of placements because after the college, applying for jobs and getting selected is very difficult as most of the companies are already taking students from the campus itself.
Infrastructure: The infrastructure is good and the library facility is good. All books are there in the college library. I don't know about the medical facilities and whether they are there or not. Sports and games facilities are also good. The college ground is small but still, there are all games played. The IT labs are also good and all systems are in a good condition. Classrooms were also in a good condition. I didn't face any issue.
Faculty: I was not satisfied with the faculty members. The way of teaching was not good and they were concentrating on completing the portion only. In the 3rd year, students should join private classes for clearing the year. The course is very good if you have an interest in IT industry. It is very good to explore your knowledge in it. I like this course as because of this, I can proudly say now I am a software developer.
