PGDM in International Business - Batch of 2025

Dissatisfied as the college doesn't meet the required expectations.
Placements: My batch strength is 72. 56 students got placed, which makes an approximate percentage of 76%. The highest package is 22 LPA. The lowest is 6 LPA. Infosys, Wipro, BlackRock, KPMG, and OXANE Partners come here. Internships are pretty bad, students had to get it from outside sources. There are some top recruiters for internships like Oxaane, KPMG, DIGIT, etc. Top roles are consultant, area sales manager, and financial adviser.
Infrastructure: The infrastructure is good. There is Wi-Fi on campus and hostel premises. The quality of the food will satisfy everyone, not that of regular hostel food. The menu is good. Every day they serve good things.
Faculty: Faculty members are incredible, very helpful, and knowledgeable. They help a lot. The course curriculum is good and relevant. Students are exposed to various field trips to get better industry exposure. Exams are pretty handy and good. BIMTECH has one good thing everybody has good academics and they can not worry about exams. Everybody is passed, either sooner or later.
Other: I wanted to get exposure to international business so I chose this course curriculum. Events in this college are pretty bad. College life here is pretty bad and strict.

Reality of Birla Institute of Management Technology.
Placements: There are companies like EY, Deloitte, Capgemini, KPMG, Marsh, Wipro, Go Digit, and many blooming companies like Equity Knowledge and Morphedo also came for placements in Marketing, Finance, and HR, but for operations, rarely any company comes. The average placement is 9-10 Lacs with a minimum of 6 Lacs and a maximum of 12-13 Lacs. In the batch of 2025, around 70% of students got placed. These companies hire at the roles of Business Development Analyst, Investment Banker, Management Trainee, and Executive too. For the internship in the batch of 2026, about 30% secured the internships.
Infrastructure: There are facilities like Bloomberg terminals, a fully Wi-Fi covered campus, and a hostel. The library is open till 11 p.m. M. There are refrigerators in every room, AC and heaters as well, and the same is true in the classrooms also. The quality of food is really good in the mess, and there are a cafeteria, a grocery shop, and a reprography shop in the campus. There is a basketball court and table tennis in each and every hostel. There is an AIC also which comes under Niti Aayog, which is very helpful for blooming entrepreneurs.
Faculty: Teachers are really good with great experience in their respective domains. They help us in personality development as well as ensure that the course curriculum is relevant to the course, which includes visits to dry and wet ports. This year, our batch is going to visit Thailand and Mumbai for port visits. We will also visit different industries. HR of companies come to judge our group discussion assessment. Semester exams are quite tough as they genuinely test our knowledge.
Other: I chose this course because it will give me international exposure. The best thing about my course is the dual specialisation that, along with specialisation in International business, we are going to get specialisation in Marketing, Finance, HR, and Operations as well. It would be better if there were any companies which are specific to International business only for placement as well as for internship. There is a Metro station near the college; otherwise, there is other public transport easily available. The campus is filled with greenery and is clean also. There are many clubs and conduits which organize different events around the year.

College is just average. Look for other options if possible.
Placements: Placements are still fine but internships are pretty bad. Almost 70% of students are forced to take internships from outside by themselves. As of placements, the highest package is 22 LPA and the lowest is around 6 LPA. Companies visiting are ICICI, KPMG, A&M, Marsh, etc.
Infrastructure: Boys hostel is poor, outside campus around 2km away, and on a double sharing basis. Bus facility is provided but at limited time and if you are not able to catch you have to take auto which charges Rs. 50. Though girl's hostel is inside campus with single sharing basis and ample facilities.
Faculty: Faculty is good and experienced but when it comes to the exam, structure is very bad as students failing any high credit subject, are given supplementary fees, give exams again, and end up scoring more CGPA than someone who passed on the first attempt that too without anywhere mentioning about the second attempt in the mark sheet. It makes someone passing in the first attempt motivated and makes you want to fail in order to score high.
Other: Fees are too high as per placement packages offered and also there is too much of crowd from a particular eastern state leading to demographic issues. The college also has too many rules it feels like you are in a military academy.

Good experience at BIMTECH.
Placements: Some of the companies that visit the campus for placements include Wipro, EY, BlackRock, ICICI Bank, Oxane, TVS, Darwin Box, Panasonic, and more. The college provides good opportunities for placements. Companies offer roles in finance, HR, marketing, consulting, operations, etc.
Infrastructure: BIMTECH provides good infrastructure. Classrooms have smart screens, which enhance the learning experience. The college provides seminar halls, IT/computer labs, an activity plaza, etc. Campus life at BIMTECH is also good. The campus provides amenities like a gym, basketball court, badminton court, cafeteria, tuck shop, and more.
Faculty: The curriculum is very well-structured and keeps updating according to relevant topics in the industry. The professors have good industry experience. I took marketing as my specialization, but initially, you get to study a mix of different subjects of finance, marketing, HR, and operations.

BIMTECH: the next best choice.
Placements: The placements each year increase, as the placement cell is really efficient here and provides 100% placement. Companies such as KPMG, Bain, Deloitte, and BlackRock come here. The average package is 1,300,000, and the highest package is 2,600,000, which, as a fresher, is good.
Infrastructure: Four types of courses are provided: General, IB, IBM, and RM. The hostel is really good, the food especially. The menu changes every month, and salad and sweets are complimentary. Hygiene is well-maintained here, and you get both AC and a theater. The quality is good.
Faculty: The curriculum is well-updated and has a balance between theoretical and practical exposure. They arrange port visits and other guest lectures regularly. The exam is in the trimester system, and it is a bit hectic, but you get to enjoy the parties which happen every 2 months.

Infrastructure is somewhat small, but good. Faculty members are fine too.
Placements: Percentage of placements is somewhat around 97-99%. Although college tries to place each of the students, but the placement quality is very bad this year. Most of what I heard is about the salary package ranging from 7 LPA - 9 LPA. It is really low compared to the return on investment of a student.
Infrastructure: Infrastructure of curriculum is fine. The college is updating itself with regards to the current trends and market. College is even focusing on including technological courses as new trends are more indulged in AI and IT, which is a good initiative. But hostels are of poor quality, not that comfortable, but livable. Too much restrictions are there, which sometimes become very irritating.
Faculty: Teachers are helpful and friendly. Some faculty members even help us with finding good job opportunities, such as (a faculty member from operations department). But few faculty members try to impose some tasks which might not totally be relevant to the specialisation which you are aiming for.
