Only the computer science and information technology students get placements, and for other branches, very few companies visit the campus to hire them.

Master of Computer Applications (MCA) - Batch of 2027

One of the best colleges in Odisha.
Placements: Approximately 15% students of MCA are placed. Minimum package offered is 3 to 4 LPA, maximum is 7 to 9 LPA, and the average will be around 5 to 6 LPA. Basically, TCS and Infosys are hiring most of the MCA students. Internship depends upon the students, it's totally self-placed. As far as my knowledge goes, our seniors got a Software Developer role. College provides training to be placement-ready before the final 2 semesters. They teach what to wear, how to talk, give training on soft skills, coding grounds, and arithmetic calculation.
Infrastructure: The whole campus is in Wi-Fi coverage, Wi-Fi speed is decent. The lab has good infrastructure. As the CS branch college provides an Oracle lab, a Google lab, and a Software Technology lab. Classrooms are well structured. Most of the classrooms have a central AC facility with Wi-Fi coverage. College have 2 libraries, one is normal, and the other is the central library. The library also provides e-access to 35,000-plus books. Hostels have good infrastructure with Wi-Fi coverage, washing machines, a canteen room, 24/7 electricity, and non-AC to AC rooms. All the hostelers are allowed to access all outdoor games like football, cricket, volleyball, basketball, badminton, and kabaddi.
Faculty: Teachers are very friendly, most of them are Ph.D. holders with years of experience in the relevant subject field. Also, lab assistants are doing their Ph.D. A college exam purely depends on the students. If a student does all the assignments and reads all the topics with a good understanding, then he/she will score above 9 SGPA easily. The pass percentage is almost 99.9 percent.
Other: As I did BCA before, I chose MCA. The course teaches all the high-level knowledge about computers. Also gives good knowledge to survive in the IT industry. The course must be 3 years instead of 2 years, as previously it was. College has one annual fest named as Celegance, one tech fest where all the tech competitions are done, one inter-university sports competition, and one annual sports competition. College doesn't give any scholarships, but you can get all the home state scholarships. After academics college have various clubs from technologies to enjoyment.

Review of CV Raman Global University.
Placements: The placement percentage is around 85 percent most students get placed. The highest package is 19 LPA at JP Morgan and the lowest is 3 LPA while the average package is around 4.5 LPA. Companies like TCS, Infosys, LTI, PwC, Cognizant, Accenture, and most service-based companies visit our college and they recruit in good numbers.
Infrastructure: So the infrastructure is good it is like a campus is in 100 acres of area. The Wi-Fi is a bit problematic in hostels. The labs have Ethernet so it's good. Hostel food is below average. Sports games such as football, cricket, and badminton are available. Regular competitions are held in the college.
Faculty: The faculty members are good and helpful in nature. Infact all the faculty members are Ph.D. degree holders and also lab assistants are Ph.D. students so they are good. All classrooms have smart screens and they share the PPT of every module so we don't need to take notes. The curriculum is updated as they now start training for placement from 6 th sem in technologies like AI, data science, and Java full stack. The sem exams are challenging because you need to study or else give up summer quarters.
Other: There is still a lot of improvement to be done with Wi-Fi and the food in the mess. There is one fest held annually called Celegance and tech fests are held once a year.

Really good infrastructure, but it lacks placement.
Placements: Placement is not that good. From my batch, there are almost 800 students only in CSE and allied branches, I'm talking about and out of which till now only 200 are placed. The top recruiters are Infosys and Accenture. The highest package is 9 LPA on campus, and the lowest is 3.6, which is by Infosys.
Infrastructure: No doubt, the infrastructure is very good, they have invested a lot in the infrastructure. The labs and classrooms are all up to the mark. They have a smart screen for each class. But the only bad thing is the hostel's mess food, which is of the worst quality. The hostel rooms are fine.
Faculty: Teachers are helpful and qualified, except for a few. Talking about the curriculum, I think after our batch, it's a bit hectic. Only the soft skill training is useful, and our whole 6th semester has been changed for training, but I didn't find it that useful. Semester exams are easy to pass.
Other: I chose this course in 2022. The best thing would be that I get to know more about this field and explore new things. If the placements had been better, I think then only it can be considered a good college.

B.Tech. in Electronics & Communication Engineering - Batch of 2029

It's an average college, but you can still consider it.
Placements: I am not certain about the overall placement statistics for the B.Tech programme. However, in recent years, the electronics and communication engineering branch has achieved an approximate placement rate of 85%, with an average package of around 5 LPA. Top recruiting companies for my course are TCS, Infosys, IBM, Accenture, Wipro, Cognizant, Tech Mahindra, Cisco, and Tata Steel. Top roles offered are AIML engineer and cloud engineer.
Infrastructure: Circular infrastructure is pretty good, with proper air-conditioned classrooms, comfortable seats, proper workbenches, equipment, and machinery available for a good hands-on experience. All the computers that are provided in the laboratories are high-end for simulations and AIML. There are many clubs that can help in gaining experience. Hostel facilities are below average, although some new hostels have been constructed. The condition of the old one is the worst, and the mess is a nightmare. There are some canteens available all over the campus, which are the lifeline of hostellers. Sports facilities are quite good, there is a dedicated football and cricket ground.
Faculty: The faculty is quite good, they are helpful, but you have to be lucky to find one. Talking about the curriculum, you still have to waste your first year just to enter your domain, but the things taught in the first year are still interesting. The course curriculum is somewhat industry-relevant.

You can take admission in this college.
Placements: In my course, Electronics Engineering, 91 percent placement is there, 6–7 LPA in 2024. Top companies were Wipro, Accenture, Apollo, IBM, etc. I have no idea about the internship programs. Many top roles are there, you can participate in any of the competitions and if you win, you can get a chance to go for state or national level.
Infrastructure: The campus is very good, neat and clean, and the campus is fully Wi-Fi enabled. The classrooms are also very good, in fact, many of the classrooms are fully air-conditioned. The library is also very good, you can borrow books from the library. The food is called average. The medical facility is also very good here, with 24*7 ambulance service of the university.
Faculty: Teachers are very good and very helpful. The teachers have done Masters in their subjects, all teachers are well qualified and the teaching quality is also good. The pass percent is 40 percent, and if your attendance is less than 75 percent, they will not allow you to give your exam. If you have a reason, they will allow you.

Satisfied with faculty. Placements are average. If you study hard, you can get placed.
Placements: This is my second semester. The minimum percentile should be 7. Infosys comes here. Recently this year, the maximum placement is 45 LPA, so, it is good.
Infrastructure: Many hostels are good. Many are not that good, so they can be called average. The course is nice, and Wi-Fi and library are good. Medical facilities and an ambulance are always available. The canteen is not good at all. In sports, not all sports are good because of the players, but the volleyball team is at the state level. Everything is good, but there is no good food in or outside the campus unless you cook by yourself.
Faculty: Semester exams are moderate to difficult. They help to clear your concepts even more. Teachers are very helpful. The quality of teachers is very good. Most teachers are helpful, but some are not good. Others manage in their place, so it is no big deal. Faculty is top-notch.

Placement doesn't solely depend on your academic CGPA. It is about your skills you have developed and how well it is beneficial for yhe companies. But you will have to maintain a gpa of atleast 7.5 to appear for on campus interviews of good companies.
