It is the best for placements. It lacks infrastructure and faculty members.
Placements: Mostly 100% of students get placements after completion of the MBBS course because there is a lack of healthcare professionals in Chhattisgarh. Basically, it is a compulsory bond service of 2 years which is recruited by the Chhattisgarh government. Internships are done in the medical college hospital itself, which is a part of the course. After bond service, we are recruited by any private or government hospitals.
Infrastructure: There are in total 19 departments. There are 5 lecture theatres and several demo rooms. Each non-clinical department has its own lab. There is no Wi-Fi. There is an air-conditioned central library for issuing books. Some departments have their own library. It has an air-conditioned study room. Boys hostel is not too good but okay from a hosteller's perspective. There are 2 mess facilities and we can choose to eat from anyone. Bathrooms are not good. There are water coolers for drinking water. There is a badminton court, a playground, a park, a basketball court, and an auditorium.
Faculty: All the faculty members are highly qualified doctors and professors. There is a lack of faculty members and facilities in the department, so medical seats have decreased from 180 to 150. The course curriculum is directed by NMC but it seems more theoretical. However, internship opportunities make students industry-ready. There are annual exams with 3 internal exams each year. For 4.5 years, there will be 4 annual university exams. The pass percentage is 50%. In our college, students pass percentage is 90-95%.
Other: MBBS is the best UG course offered by our college, so I chose it. The best thing about the course is that we are taught something new every day. Attendance criteria should become more flexible. The annual event is known as Rythm is organised, which was last held in 2022. Small fests like Holi, Janmashtami, and Ganesh Chaturthi are always celebrated. The college campus is not too crowded but the hospital building is crowded. It is located near Gol Bazar. The college is well connected to bus station and railway station. The airport facility is also there at some distance. Scholarships are given to SC, ST, and OBC students.

I have a good experience at this college.
Placements: Every passing out batch from this college gets placed at some medical offices. It also gets paid accordingly as per the place with a decent amount. They get employment for at least 2 years minimum. After that, they can also apply to any hospital for the post of JR.
Infrastructure: The college is a bit old, so the building is quite not as much as pretty but it is okay for living as per government facilities. E-library is also present and all kinds of books are available in that. Clinical postings are also fruitful and information-related.
Faculty: Faculty members of every department are very friendly during examinations and also during normal class sessions. Different and a number exams like part completion tests, 2 terminals per year, 1 pre-university exam before the final proff exams are held.
Other: MBBS from this college is a good option, so I chose it. The college is between the city. The social environment here is pretty good. Many events are happening in this college in some months from time to time.

It is a good college for education, but college life is not so good.
Placements: It's about the medical course, we have to study for 4.5 years and then get an internship in our hospital for one year. In our hospital we get a Rs. 16,000 per month salary for an internship, although it is so hectic and tiring. There is 2 years of bond which you have to serve under the Chhattisgarh government.
Infrastructure: Wi-Fi is not available in our campus and hospital. The infrastructure is not so good, and our campus is also small. The mess food quality is average and not so much effort is given to extracurricular activities. There are 2 years of bond post-MBBS qualification.
Faculty: Teachers are average. Most of them are well-qualified doctors. It's a bit difficult to pass internal exams but most students clear their university exams. The pass percentage is 50%. You have to score 50% in theory to pass university exams. This course is relevant if you want to be a good doctor.

Review of Chhattisgarh Institute of Medical Sciences, Bilaspur.
Placements: There are 180 students in our batch. During the admission, there is a bond according to which students have to do 2 years of rural service in the state as a medical officer otherwise have to pay a fine of 5 lakhs. The average salary offered ranges from Rs 45,000 per month - Rs 50,000 per month. The internships are provided in this college itself.
Infrastructure: The campus is old and not good as this college was established in 2001. But the classrooms and laboratories are well-equipped and good in condition. Library has all sufficient books which students may have need for their course. Now coming to hostel, there are problems related to infrastructure. Otherwise all facilities are available in hostel. It provides 24X7 water supply, and no shortage of electricity. Mess food is average, and the canteen is open 24X7. Medical facilities are good and it is at walking distance. There is a presence of hospital in the medical campus itself. There are basketball court, badminton court, and volleyball ground. Cricket and football tournaments occurs occassionally. The CIMS auditorium is very good. The campus is ragging-free.
Faculty: In this college, teachers are highly qualified and skillful medical professionals and doctors. They are very knowledgeable and provide standard quality teaching. They are always ready to help students. The course curriculum is relevant. The students have clinical posting in which they get exposure to a lot of patients, and many patients come to CIMS every day. The clinical practices under the supervision of skillful medical professionals. Semester exams are based on previous year's questions, and questions are relevant to the medical profession. More the 50% of students manage to pass the exam.
Other: It was established in 2001 so the campus is old but the new building of CIMS is being made in the Koni area. Events and fests are not being held due to covid. The campus is located near a river view and surrounded by a market area which is a great advantage for the students.

The teachers and placements are good, and the infrastructure is average.
Placements: Almost all the students get good jobs after MBBS. The highest package offered after MBBS is around 60,000, and the lowest salary is around 40,000. Mainly students get placed in government hospitals. Almost all the students got internships from government hospitals.
Infrastructure: The infrastructure of our college is pretty average because the buildings are getting old. Various facilities like Wi-Fi, labs, classrooms, library, separate study halls and rooms, and canteens are available. The quality of food is pretty good, and medical facilities are of the best quality. Sports and other activities are fairly promoted.
Faculty: All the teachers and faculty members are well-educated, very knowledgeable, and helpful. The teaching quality is superb. The course curriculum is very relevant. This course makes students industry-ready. Semester exams are easy, based on the previous years' papers. The minimum passing percentage is 50%.

It is the leading medical college in Chhattisgarh.
Placements: CIMS is a government college. Medical college and placements in MBBS course is 100%. It is mandatory for the students once they complete the course to do jobs for the government as there is an acute shortage of doctors. During internships, students are paid a stipend of around Rs 12,000 - Rs 13,000, and the internship is in our college's hospital. Once students complete the course they get government. Jobs with starting salary of Rs 50,000 per month. The average salary pacakge offered is 6 LPA, and can go upto 12 LPA, students join in as junior residents in hospitals or as chief medical officers i.e CMO.
Infrastructure: CIMS has a 700-bed hospital therefore the clinical exposure is very good for the students. The college campus is spread over around 15-17 acres of land in the heart of the city, therefore availability of shops and goods is very convenient and easy. The library has all the latest books and one can issue one book at a time. Although if students request the librarian they may allow them to take more books in special cases. The college building is very good and all classrooms have air-conditioners as well. The hostel rooms are average on the main campus and double sharing rooms are allocated. A shared washroom facility is available. The hostel for the 1st year students i.e for boys only, which is in a separate place around 10 km from the main campus, which is very lavish, the students have attached washrooms and the quality of the building is also very good as it is new. Mess food is also average, some days the food is good and some days not good, but the food is not a major problem as such.
Faculty: The quality of education is very good. All classrooms have projectors, a digital blackboard, and a normal one as well. The teachers give their 200% effort to their students and treat them like a family. The curriculum is a centralized curriculum that is followed throughout the country and is followed properly in the college. As MBBS is a tough course the passing percentage varies from 60-80%, but 99% of the students pass the exams in supplementary exams even if they fail.1st year and final year is the toughest but if students are sincere they get through it easily. Doctors from CIMS are ready to handle all the cases which an MBBS doctor is supposed to do. The internships are very difficult and they have to work a lot but the clinical skills which students learn here are sometimes more than what a postgraduate resident knows.
Other: This college has an annual fest by the name of Rhythm, and it is the best time of the year. All classes are suspended for two weeks and there is a festival-like celebration in the college. All students and teachers come together and lots of events are conducted. Cultural programs like dance, singing, drama, fashion show, etc., are all conducted in the best way. There are sports tournaments like cricket, football, basketball, volleyball, and handball. On the last day of fests, there is DJ night and funfiesta in which multiple stalls are organised, and the food is also available.
