How to Prepare for NEET 2026 in 10 days?

Apart from studies, the last 10 days should be dedicated for practical preparation as well. Let us take a look at the preparation strategies for the last 10 days to NEET 2026.

Take stock of what is remaining

The first step is a quick assessment of your NEET 2026 preparation. Take stock of the topics that need to be covered and the topics that have not been revised for a while. Also, make a list of all the important chapters, according to their weightage. This will be your study material for the next 10 days.

Get accustomed to the pattern & syllabus

The exam pattern and syllabus remain the same as last year. NTA follows the NEET exam pattern while framing the question paper. You have to decide on the exam-taking strategy to approach the paper with ease and confidence. Moreover, the NEET syllabus 2026 is the same as previous year. Hence, you are advised to go through the exam pattern and solve NEET last 5 years question papers PDFs.

Take fewer mock tests

Taking too many NEET mock tests just before the examination can be overwhelming. Also, a low score on these tests can be demotivating for some. A low score does not always mean that your preparation is weak. Some NEET mock tests are extremely difficult and are meant to give candidates exposure to such questions. However, only 10-12 questions in the NEET question papers will be of this difficulty level.

Q:   How should I prepare for the NEET?
A:
First of all, do not take NEET preparation lightly as it is the most competitive national-level entrance exam. So be prepared for the efforts. Second, your interest has to be there in all three subjects. Every subject holds marks so it is significant for your rank. Now coming to the priority tips for the NEET preparation- NEET Biology- What anyone would say, first go for NCERT only, so would I. Just go for thorough study materials, every diagram, line, table, summary, and everything. 5-10 readings I would say and everything will be on tips. After that refer to coaching modules correctly and practice them. Practice questions from MTG Biology at your fingertips. NEET Chemistry NCERT is the key for Inorganic and organic especially. Revise inorganic on a daily basis, it is a scoring subject. Write down exceptions and reactions in a separate notebook. Do practice questions for organic and physical. Physics- Do refer to your coaching notes for theory and assigned modules for practice. Join the Mock test series in the last month. Solve NEET and JEE Main (for Physics and Chemistry), previous year test papers for better practice and try to go for the easiest approach for the questions. Be confident as you have recently appeared for boards so most of the concepts are fresh in mind.

Zero down your exam-taking strategy

As mentioned in the previous tip, you must have a strong and dependable exam-taking strategy. The difference between your preparation and performance lies in the approach or the strategy. You may be well prepared and have the answers to most of the questions unless you have a pre-decided strategy on which section to attempt first, selecting the right questions and time management, you will not be able to score high. Based on your previous mock tests and practice sessions, you must have realised which factors work for you and which don't. Based on these, finalise your NEET strategy.

Prepare a timetable

A timetable for the last 10 days of NEET preparation can prove beneficial. You have already made a list of the topics that you need to cover in these few days. Allocate time for every subject according to the number of topics that you have listed from each one of them. Also, spare an additional hour for the analysis of the mock tests (total four hours).

Focus on formulas, charts, diagrams & revision notes

Everything that can be represented in the form of diagrams and flowcharts should become a part of your revision notes. Revision becomes easier and less time-consuming with the help of diagrams/flowcharts. Representing information pictographically also aids in better retention.

For Example:

  1. Many questions from the periodic table can be answered correctly if you revise the chart regularly.
  2. A diagram representing the human digestive system along with the details of the enzymes released by each organ will also retain these details better.

Do not refer to any new book or resources now

They say the more the merrier. But at this stage, when hardly 10 days are left for the exam, it is not suggested that you refer to new books or resources at this stage. By now, you must have referred to NEET books and possible NEET study materials to gain the subject knowledge required for the exam. If you expose yourself to completely new resources, you will end up cramming information, which is not recommended for this stage. You should concentrate on your revision notes and try to improve on the weak areas without stressing yourself much.

Bridge all possible gaps

It is time to identify the small doubts, queries or weaknesses that are yet to be resolved. This will help you to boost your confidence just before the exam. Make a list of all queries and topics of weak areas which you are facing and approach your mentors or seniors to get the answers. However, it is advised that if you have left any weak topic for preparing at the last moment, do not start preparing those now. Starting any topic from scratch is not a good idea at this stage. Rather focus on your strengths and minimise the weak points in these 10 days.

Stay motivated

Stay away from any negativity during these last few days. It is important that you stay focused and motivated and do not let your mind wander off. Make sure that you revise everything with full concentration. A halfhearted revision will not yield the desired results. Do not hesitate to take a 10-15 minute long break during this period, it will help you focus better.

Take good care of your health

Lastly, students do understand that health should be a priority at this stage. Aspirants cannot afford to fall ill when the exam is around the corner. Don't take too much pressure thinking about the outcome in NEET UG 2026 exam. Spend one or two hours daily on the activities you, such as listening music or playing your favourite game etc.
