Optometry program at Chitkara University
Placements: 24 students placed in my course, which is Optometry. The lowest package is around 3 LPA, the highest package is 8 LPA, and the average package is around 6 LPA. The top recruiting companies that visit are Lenskart and Titan. The 15 students have secured internships with a stipend of 10,000.
Infrastructure: All the facilities are available in my department. Libraries, Wi-Fi, well-furnished and new classrooms with ventilation provided. The hostels are decent, and the food quality is also decent, but the mess offers variety. We have a 24-hour medical facility available.
Faculty: Teachers are well-educated and help you whenever you seek assistance. The teaching quality is decent, and the course prepares students to be industry-ready as they keep us updated regarding the latest technologies and industry trends. The semester exams are tough, and the pass percentage is 40.
Other: I opt for a government college. I did not clear the cutoff, so when I searched for private colleges, I found this one to be the best. I would like to improve the teaching quality a little, as it is decent, but sometimes it becomes hard to understand what they teach. Our university has regular events and fests, an enjoyable campus life, extracurricular activities, and competitions.

Our college provides great placement opportunities.
Placements: Around 100% of students from our department got internships in more than 15 best institutes in India. Students get observations from different hospitals like Dr. Agrawal, Sankara Eye Hospital, Eye Care Noida, and the corporate world.
Infrastructure: The infrastructure of our college is very good and modernised. Labs are well-equipped with recent equipment and technology, which makes learning more interesting. Hostel facilities are well-maintained and comfortable for students. Food is prepared by top-qualified professionals who keep hygiene as a priority. There is a wide range of sports on campus, from indoor to outdoor games, to keep students fit and healthy.
Faculty: The course curriculum is well-designed in such a way that it covers all the relevant aspects of our course. It fuses theoretical principles with practical skills, which makes it easier to understand the concepts and makes them industry ready. Exams are difficult, but students can clear them with proper preparation.

It has a good campus and a friendly environment.
Placements: The placement cell is good. I have not been placed yet as I am in my final year. In previous years, a lot of companies visited our campus. They help every student become successful in life.
Infrastructure: Hostels are good. Two, three, and four-seater rooms are available. Wardens are good and helpful. Mess food is also good. If someone does not like it, Food Square One is always available to serve everyone. Overall, hostels are good.
Faculty: The exam pattern is good. We don't have to pay any extra fees for exams, as they are already included in our semester fees. Sessional tests help in scoring well on final exams. Examinations are held in a fair way.

Campus life and environment are very good, along with top quality education.
Placements: I have not passed out yet, so I don't know much about placements. However, I have seen our seniors getting placed in good companies, and almost every person gets placed. In our course, we have a 1-year internship at 4 different places, which provides a great experience in the field.
Infrastructure: The infrastructure of both college buildings and the hostel is pretty good. Wi-Fi of 1 GB is provided to each person, which runs at quite good speed anywhere throughout the campus. Hostel rooms are spacious and well-maintained, and each person has their different bed, study table and almirah. Mess food is not the best, but it is much better than the food provided in other top universities. We have a different menu every day along with evening snacks.
Faculty: Faculty members are very helpful. Every 25-30 students have their mentor to whom they can contact at any time for any problem related to the university. Teaching quality is pretty good, and we are given PPTs, assignments and sometimes study material. If we are facing any issue, then we can mail it to the department, and we get to revert back soon.
Other: For our batch, this course is value for money, but maybe for juniors and upcoming batches, the university had increased the fee a lot. I have chosen this course from here because they have a tie-up with Sankara Eye Hospital, so along with studies, a person gets all the practical knowledge, and it is pretty good.
