M.Sc. in Obstetrics and Gynaecological Nursing

Candidates should have registered with the State Registration Council for Nursing and Midwifery with Nurse Unique Identity Number (NUID). Candidates who have not done midwifery should have registered with the State Nursing Registration Council for an alternate course approved by Indian Nursing Council for a similar duration in lieu of Midwifery. Male candidates who do not possess Midwifery registration certificate are not eligible to apply for Obstetrics & Gynaecological Nursing and Community Health Nursing specialities, irrespective of experience in these areas. Candidates should have minimum one year of work experience in a hospital or in a College or in a School of Nursing or in a Community Health Programme from the date of registration in the State Nursing Council after B.Sc. Nursing/B.Sc. (Honors) in Nursing (or) after /prior to Post Basic B.Sc. Nursing (regular stream). Candidates shall be medically fit. .Nurses from other countries must obtain a 'No Objection Certificate' from the Indian Nursing Council, the Tamil Nadu Nursing Council, and the embassies of both the countries.
