Every year, more than 60,000 candidates apply for the TSICET exam. Kakatiya University has been recording an upward move in the graph of total applicants for TSICET exam. In 2022, TSICET exam recorded an all-time high registration of 75,952 candidates. Out of theses 75,000+ applicants, 68,781 took the state-level exam. While only 61,613 were able to qualify for the counselling process, with a pass percentage of 89.58 per cent. In the 2021 session, as many as 66,034 candidates applied for the exam. On the contrary, 58,392 applied for TSICET in the 2020 exam session.
Q:   Can the TG ICET applications be filled offline?

No. TG ICET exam registration can be done ion an online mode only. Candidates can however, visit the TGOnline centres in person to pay the application fee. TGCHE does not facilitate ICET application process in offline mode.

Eligibility Criteria to Fill TS ICET 2026 Application Form

Candidates must fulfil the following eligibility conditions before filling the TGICET application form 2026.

  • Candidates must be Indian nationals with local/non-local status of Telangana to apply for TSICET 2026
  • The lower age of the candidate must be 19 years. TSCHE has not specified any upper age limit for TG ICET
  • Candidates holding a bachelor's degree with an aggregate of 50 per cent are eligible (45 per cent for reserved category)

The Telangana State Council of Higher Education (TSCHE) holds the responsibility to assign a conducting body for the TS ICET exam. Kakatiya University conducts the TS ICET exam on behalf of TSCHE. All exam related events, including the registration, admit card release, answer key publication, and result declaration is done by Kakatiya University, on behalf of the exam convener, TSCHE.

TSCHE is a statutory body of Government of Telangana, responsible to prepare consolidated programmes in the field of Higher Education for maintenance quality, accessibility and employability. TSCHE came into existence on account of the National Educational Policy, which recommends a state level planning and coordination of Higher Education to be done via councils of Higher Education and UGC.

Each year, a participating university isw presented with an opportunity to look after the entire examination process, including the registration process and result declaration. Q:   Can I submit TGICET application form offline?

No, the TGICET application form can be submitted in an online mode only. The official website of Telangana ICET hosts the online registration link. Soon after the TSICET registration process concludes, TSCHE will issue TSICET 2026 admit card.
