The faculty is quite good but the college management should try to conduct more events.
Placements: As I am studying in my 1st year, I don't know much about the placements, but my seniors say that the placements are very less. They have a separate section for the placements called placements cell but it is of no use as it is fails to provide opportunities.
Infrastructure: The infrastructure is good but of no use as there is no entertainment in the hostel. There are no extra curricular activities. They have sports but there is no freedom for anything and the signal for range is very low in many rooms. The hostel Wi-Fi is in the worst condition.
Faculty: Most of the teachers are good but some teachers are the worst, they don't know anything about their subjects. We wonder how they became a college lecturer. But some of them are very good and have the best knowledge. The passing percentage for our batch was 50% which is the best result in the recent years of this college.
Other: I chose it to become an IT professional in the new generation of AI which had a telling of giving more scope in the industries than the other branches. The management only gives a few programmes which should be improved as the college is not only for studies but also to enjoy life.

B.Tech. in Artificial Intelligence and Data Science - Batch of 2026
Offered by CMS College of Engineering and Technology
3.4
4Placements3Infrastructure4Faculty3Crowd & Campus Life3Value for Money
The college has supportive faculty, decent placements, and vibrant campus life with good facilities.
Placements: Around 65-70% of students from our batch were placed through campus recruitment. The highest package offered is approximately 7 LPA, while the average package ranged between 3 to 3.5 LPA. The lowest package offered is around 2.2 LPA. Top recruiters included companies like TCS, Infosys, Wipro, HCL, and Zoho. Many students also secured internships in startups and mid-size firms; around 40-50% of students got internship opportunities. Some of the companies offering internships are Aspire Systems, TechUnity, and local Coimbatore-based startups. The top roles offered were software development, system engineer, network analyst, and QA tester.
Infrastructure: The college has a good infrastructure overall. Classrooms are well-ventilated and equipped with projectors and comfortable seating. Each department has dedicated labs with updated equipment and software tools. The campus is Wi-Fi enabled and the library has a wide collection of books and journals, both technical and non-technical. Hostel facilities are decent, with separate buildings for boys and girls. The rooms are clean and have basic furniture. Mess food is average, with hygienic preparation and a rotating menu. Medical facilities are available on campus, and there's a 24/7 ambulance service. Sports facilities include a ground for cricket.
Faculty: Faculty members are knowledgeable, supportive, and approachable. Many have completed M.E. Or Ph.D. and they use practical teaching methods along with traditional lectures. Some teachers go beyond the syllabus and guide projects, internships, and placements. The curriculum, framed by Anna University, is updated and includes modern subjects and electives relevant to the industry, though a few areas could use more hands-on content. Semester exams are moderately challenging but fair; with regular study, it's manageable. The pass percentage is generally between 85% to 90%, thanks to internal assessment and good academic support.
Other: I chose this course because I have always been passionate about technology and problem-solving. The best part of my course is the exposure to real-world projects, internships, and industry-focused learning. Our department actively encourages participation in workshops and technical events, which helped us build practical knowledge. The campus hosts several fests like technical symposiums, cultural events, and awareness programs. The crowd is friendly, and the environment is supportive. However, I feel that the placement cell can improve by bringing in more core companies and startups for a wider range of opportunities. More advanced lab equipment and digital infrastructure would be beneficial.
