BFA in Visual Communication

Recently, the commencement date of the BFA's new session at the College of Arts, New Delhi, has not been released. However, as per the available information of previous academic years, the academic session usually commences in July/August each year. Precise dates for examinations, semester breaks, and other academic activities are announced on the College of Art's official website.

211 seats are avaliable for the BFA programme at the college of Arts, University of Delhi. The seats are categorized into six different specilalizations and based on the categories the seats are divided:

Applied art-80 seats

Painting -40 seats

Art history -16 seats

Printmaking -16 seats

Sculpture -16 seats

Visual communications -16 seats

Total - 211 seats

At the time of applying for the BFA course at the College of Arts and at the time of document verification. There are certain important documents that candidates are required to submit. Some of them are as follows:

• Senior School Certificate or equivalent. 
• Category Certificate in case of SC/ST/OBC/EWS/CW. 
• Passport Photograph.
• Candidates who passed from the National Institute of Open School (NIOS) are required to submit the proof of last  qualifying examination center. the location of the examination center will determine the category: (D) Delhi or (OD) Outside Delhi. 
• Self-attestation by the candidate is mandatory. 

The median package offered to BFA students during College of Arts, University of Delhi placements 2023, the highest package offered during the 2023 placement drive is worth INR 36.5 LPA, and the average package is INR 10.40 LPA. The Department of Fine Arts at Delhi University offers a Bachelor of Fine Art Course, and the admission process includes clearing the Common University Entrance Test (CUET UG) and registering on Delhi University’s Common Seat Allocation System (CSAS) portal for seat allocation. Delhi University BFA students are awarded Merit Scholarships of INR 75 per month up to 5% to 10% of the total number of students as per rules, and the college also awards fee concessions to deserving students

Yes, Practical Based Test is compulsory for admissions to the BFA at the College of Arts. This entrance test is an evaluation test taken by the college itself. To appear in this test, firstly, candidates must achieve a valid score in CUET UG. Candidates must note that they are required to score more than 50% or more in the Practical-Based Entrance Test to be considered for admission. (The list of shortlisted candidates will be published on the College of Art and the University of Delhi website.)

Only one college in the Delhi University College of Art is offering a BFA course. You cannot get direct admission as an aptitude Entrance exam is conducted for this course. The criteria to be eligible are the same as those laid down by DU. Like in five subjects, you were supposed to pass a board with 50% or more marks.Without a CUET score, DU SOL (school of open learning) gives admission into UG and PG courses. The process of admission to this academic year is ongoing In order to be admitted to Delhi College of Art students need to pass the 10+2 test. Eligible candidates are required to take an aptitude test after they have passed the examination. The selection of candidates will take place after allocation of the places, document verification and fee payment.

For each month the College awards Merit and Merit-cum-Means Scholarships of Rs. 75 which is up to 5% and 10% respectively of the total number of student as per rules. This is however, subject to the sanction by the Government.
The Inlaks Shivdasani scholarship is given to students to pursue a master's or doctoral degree in the field of Fine Arts and Visual Arts.

Yes, it is possible to get admission to the College of Arts, University of Delhi with 70%. To be eligible for admission to the University of Delhi, students must pass their 10+2 or equivalent examination from a recognised board. There is no minimum age bar limit to get admission into an undergraduate course. Delhi University has 65 colleges that offer liberal courses in humanities, social sciences, and science. The Delhi College of Arts and Commerce is one of the constituent colleges of the University of Delhi. It is located in Netaji Nagar in the South campus of Delhi University and is ranked 34th in the Arts category by NIRF.

Yes, the College of Arts, University of Delhi, does offer scholarships to BFA students. The college offers several scholarship opportunities to students enrolled in its Bachelor of Fine Arts (BFA) programme. These scholarships are designed to recognise academic excellence and provide financial assistance to deserving students. Moreover, the college also offers stipends to BFA students. 

NTA will release the CUET admit card 2026 online. Candidates will be able to download their admit cards online at cuet.nta.nic.in. The admit card will be available for download in PDF document and is a mandatory document to be carried to the exam centre. Prior to the release of the CUET UG admit card, NTA will release the advance intimation of exam city slip. It is not the admit card, but will inform candidates about the city. After downloading the CUET UG 2026 admit card, candidates will have to check all the details carefully and ensure that there is no mistake. In case of any error, they will have to contact NTA to get the necessary corrections done.
