Review of College of Engineering And Management, Punnapra.
Placements: No one got posted anywhere. The placement cell is very poor. We got jobs after 3-4 months after passing out and using our own connections. No one helped us from the college. No one got an internship. I got an internship on my own for 4 of my friends and myself.
Infrastructure: The infrastructure is somewhat adjustable. Facilities are average. But compared to other colleges, it is poor. Computer labs are somewhat okay. Hostel facilities are not up to the mark. The college technical labs are not up to the mark. Many items were old ones and are not of good quality.
Faculty: The teachers are knowledgeable. But they don't have any commitment to make us pass the exams. Since it is not a private college, they are not much interested in it. They hold our sessional marks with no consideration. Many students are still not passed out due to that. There is no cooperation from the staff. Semester exams are average. More than 70% of students pass the exams in the first attempt. The curriculum should be improved with some practical sessions. We should be posted in some companies as interns for at least 6 months for us to get industry exposure.
Other: I chose it since civil has more scope in Kerala to get a job. But now, I feel IT is the best industry.

Our college provides good atmosphere and friendly campus.
Placements: The recruiting companies were Infosys, TCS, etc. The highest salary package offered was 15 LPA and the minimum salary package was 6 LPA. Around 90% of students got internships in our course in India and abroad. Top roles were offered in engineering and diploma.
Infrastructure: Our college had 7 departments for civil, mechanical, electrical, electronics, computer science, IT, and diploma in networking. There were two hostels for girls and boys with separate mess facility. The quality of the food was good.
Faculty: Teachers in our college were helpful, well-qualified, and knowledgeable. They graduated according to government norms. The course curriculum made students industry ready. Semester exams were difficult to pass. The pass percentage was very low.
Other: Tech fests and sports day were organised in our college.
