Average college with low facilities.
Placements: The college offers average placement with an average LPA. Many small startup companies came for placement. 60% students get placement every year but the thing is they provide only low LPA. The highest package last year was 7 LPA.
Infrastructure: The facilities provided in the hostel are average. Food is a little good as compared to other colleges. In a week, 4 days non-veg is served and 3 days veg is served. Sometime ago, there was a strike done by hostel students raising the problem about hostel's food and its taste.
Faculty: Teachers are very friendly and helpful but some of them don't know what they are teaching. Majority of teachers are friendly in nature but they are terror in exam hall. The exams are very tough and the syllabus is outdated. If we study well then we can pass in them.

Review of College of Engineering, Muttathara.
Placements: Around 60% of students who are eligible to attend placements got placed. The highest package offered is 4 LPA, the average package is 3.36 LPA, and the lowest package is 2.4 LPA. Infosys, TCS, QUEST, etc., come here. Around 40% of students got internships in Keltron, and other public sectors. Software engineer, data analyst, system tester, etc., roles are offered. It depends upon the interest of students. KTU offers various interdisciplinary courses.
Infrastructure: The college ambiance is bad. There is no playground, garden or even trees. It is a typical barren land. As our college is under the Ministry of Corporation, we have no shortage of funds. We have air-conditioned seminar halls, computer lab etc. All other necessary labs are available for the respective courses. The college doesn't have a hostel on the campus. But they provide hostel facilities for needy students who are from other districts. The college has a good canteen which provides food at affordable prices.
Faculty: The college provides qualified and experienced teachers. The teachers are friendly, and ultimately, it depends on the student's response to them. Our college is affiliated with KTU, so it is mandatory to follow KTU regulations. KTU offers interdisciplinary courses, minor and honour degree. KTU is way better than Kerala University. Questions are quite simple in exams as well as for university exams.
Other: I chose this college as it is under the government, and I have to pay only 35,000 per year. The college management (CAPE) has to monitor and implement the government's mission. They have to spend the allocated government fund for improving the recreation ambiance of college in order to make college more attractive. Students are being offered scholarships by CAPE. College union, tech fests are some of the events held here. NSS, IEEE, movie club, literary club, etc., are some of the clubs and chapters in our college. The college is located near Trivandrum International airport.
