Our college and our campus life.
Placements: Only at least 10% of students got placed in our course. The highest package till now is 18 LPA. The lowest package is 3.5 LPA. The average I think 3.5 LPA only. Fanatics is the top recruiting company for our course. I think only 5% of students got internships from our course. Lumen is the one which provides internships.
Infrastructure: Wi-Fi areas are very less in our college. Labs are pretty good compared to classrooms. We have a very good library and many books are available. The quality of the hostel is not good. The maintenance is also not good. The quality of the food is not good. Sometimes, many issues are noticed.
Faculty: They are not much helpful because they are too busy. They are well-qualified. Instead of them, we go to the library and study there. The course curriculum is so relevant and we can gain knowledge on it. The difficulty level is moderate because we study for one night to crack the semester.
Other: I chose this course because I want to explore computers and their sub-branches. The best thing about our course is that it has every corner of our complete course.

Absolutely amazing because of the good placements, faculty, and infrastructure.
Placements: Placements in our college, Sri Venkateshwara University College of Engineering, are based on students' CGPA and skills like subject knowledge and working ability. The maximum package in this department is 8 LPA, and the minimum is 4 LPA.
Infrastructure: The food quality is very good. It is just like home food. The hostel and room quality are also very good. There is a separate hostel for first-year students. We have digital classrooms and well-organized labs in our college. They are in great condition.
Faculty: Faculty is very experienced with amazing explanation skills. They are well-trained. The concepts are easily understood by students. There is a big library, which is useful for GATE preparation and also for many central government jobs.

Do's and dont's of our college.
Placements: Emphasis, Cognizant and TCS are most likely to give jobs. This year we are getting a very low number of placements; till now we have gotten only one placement for our senior and that is from Emphasis, and his package is just 6 LPA. We are not getting satisfactory placements here.
Infrastructure: In our hostel, the bathrooms are not clean and there is some blockage of water. Hostel rooms are good but most of the fans are not working properly. But the environment is very good. Classes are digitalised but are not so good to listen to. Water pours down during heavy rain.
Faculty: Our teachers are very much qualified; most of them are professors. We have less pressure on academics. Our academic standards are so good. This curriculum is so much more relevant to studies. Semester exams are very difficult. Our teachers are also helping with the competitive exams.
Other: Our college is vast and there are so many grounds there to play and to improve physical fitness. We are also getting gym but roaming in college around nights is a little bit dangerous because of wild animals.

SVUCE
Admission FAQs

Q:   Can I get Sri Venkateswara University College of Engineering B Tech with 65 percentile in Andhra Pradesh EAMCET?
A:

The likelihood of gaining admission to Sri Venkateswara University College of Engineering's (SVUCE) B.Tech programs with a 65 percentile in the Andhra Pradesh Engineering Common Entrance Test (AP EAMCET) depends on several factors, including the specific branch of engineering, competitive levels for different branches, and overall cut-off marks for the year.

Historically, SVUCE has maintained competitive cut-off marks for B.Tech programs, with general category cut-offs ranging from 75 to 85 percentile in Andhra Pradesh EAMCET. However, securing admission with a 65 percentile is possible, especially if you are open to considering less competitive branches like Civil Engineering or Mechanical Engineering. Cut-off marks for these branches tend to be lower compared to more sought-after branches like Computer Science Engineering or Electronics and Communication Engineering.

Factors influencing your admission chances with a 65 percentile in Andhra Pradesh EAMCET:

  1. Branch Preference: Competition varies across different engineering branches at SVUCE. Considering less competitive branches increases your chances of admission with a 65 percentile.

  2. Overall Cut-off Marks: Cut-off marks for SVUCE B.Tech programs fluctuate annually. Your chances improve if the overall cut-offs are lower in a particular year.

  3. 10+2 Performance: Your 10+2 performance is considered alongside your Andhra Pradesh EAMCET score. Securing good marks in Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics in 10+2 strengthens your profile.

  4. Category: Reserved category candidates generally have lower cut-offs than general category candidates. If you belong to a reserved category, your chances of admission increase.

Strategies to increase admission chances:

  1. Target Less Competitive Branches: Focus on applying for branches with historically lower cut-off marks.

  2. Enhance Overall Profile: Strengthen your overall profile by participating in extracurricular activities, volunteering, and gaining relevant work experience.

  3. Stay Informed About Admission Process: Keep track of admission dates, eligibility criteria, and counseling procedures to ensure you meet all requirements.

Remember, admission to SVUCE is competitive, and even with a strong profile, there is no guarantee of admission. However, by carefully considering branch preferences, staying informed about the admission process, and making strategic choices, you can increase your chances of securing a seat at this prestigious institution.

  3. Age Limit: Candidates should be between 16 and 22 years of age as of the admission date.

  4. Physical Fitness: Candidates must be physically fit and should not have any medical conditions that could hinder their ability to pursue engineering studies.

  5. Character Certificate: Candidates must provide a good character certificate from their previous educational institution or a responsible person in society.

  6. Residence Certificate: Candidates should submit a residence certificate to verify their place of residence.

  7. Entrance Exam Scores: Candidates must have appeared and qualified in the Joint Entrance Examination (JEE) Mains exam and/or Andhra Pradesh Engineering Common Entrance Test (AP EAMCET).

SVUCE also offers various scholarships and financial aid schemes to support students from financially underprivileged backgrounds. These scholarships are based on merit, income, and caste, and they can significantly reduce the financial burden of pursuing B.Tech programs at SVUCE.

Q:   Can students with a minimum cutoff for B Tech get a seat at Sri Venkateswara University College of Engineering?
A:

Yes, students with a minimum cutoff can get a seat at Sri Venkateswara University College of Engineering (SVUCE), but the chances of selection depend on various factors. SVUCE is a prestigious institution with competitive admissions, and the cut-off marks for different branches are generally high. However, students with a minimum cutoff can still get selected if they have a strong overall profile and perform well in the entrance exam.

Factors influencing selection chances include:

  • Number of Applicants: The number of applicants in a particular year affects the chances of selection. A higher number of applicants leads to more intense competition and higher cut-off marks.

  • Difficulty Level of Entrance Exam: A more challenging entrance exam can lead to a higher cut-off, making it more difficult for students with minimum cutoff to get selected.

  • Availability of Seats: The number of seats available in different branches affects the selection chances. Branches with fewer seats have more intense competition and higher cut-off marks.

  • Overall Profile: The selection committee considers the applicant's overall profile, including extracurricular activities, awards and recognition, and relevant work experience.

To increase their chances of selection, students should:

  • Prepare well for the entrance exam: Familiarize yourself with the exam pattern, syllabus, and practice questions to improve your score.

  • Target less competitive branches: Consider applying for branches with historically lower cut-off marks.

  • Demonstrate a strong overall profile: Participate in extracurricular activities, volunteer, and gain relevant work experience to make your application more attractive.

  • Stay informed about the admission process: Keep track of the admission dates, eligibility criteria, and counseling procedures to ensure you meet all the requirements.

Selection to SVUCE is competitive, and there is no guarantee of admission even with a strong overall profile. However, by preparing well, considering less competitive branches, and following the admission process carefully, you can increase your chances of securing a seat at this prestigious institution.

Overall, SVUCE is an excellent choice for students seeking a high-quality engineering education with a strong focus on placements. Its excellent placement record, industry-relevant curriculum, and strong alumni network make it a popular destination for top recruiters and a promising launchpad for successful careers in engineering.
