B.E. in Mechanical Engineering - Batch of 2021

I am satisfied with college and placements in companies.
Placements: Almost 100% of the students got placed in our course. In our course, the salary package offered is the highest as compared to other courses. Amazon, Google and many companies are recruiting our college students. Almost 90% of the students got an internship from our course at Amazon.
Infrastructure: Our classrooms are provided with Wi-Fi and projector facilities. The library is also available with vast books and journals. Sports and games are played twice in a month. I am satisfied with all the facilities available here.
Faculty: Faculty members here are well-knowledgeable and helpful. They teach us in a very good manner, and doubts are also cleared very often. All the teachers are well-qualified, and due to this good behaviour, students show their interest very well. The course curriculum makes students industry-ready.
Other: I have chosen this course because it is an evergreen course, and it can be useful in any country and any company. We should have experience in our course. Events are conducted two times in a year, and campus crowd is more. Surroundings are peaceful, and scholarships are also available.

I am dissatisfied because of faculty members.
Placements: Almost 120 students got placed in our college. The highest salary offered was Rs 90,000 per month and the average salary offered was Rs. 40,000 per month. The lowest salary offered was Rs. 20,000 per month. IBM and Microsoft were the top recruiting companies in our college. The highest salary offered in our course was Rs. 65,000 per month. Almost 70% of the students got an internship from mechanical and in BHEL situated at Lingampally.
Infrastructure: Wi-Fi is available in computer labs only. The classrooms are fine. There is no water facility available, and labs are not equipped with the latest modern equipment. The library is very good as it provides all the necessary author books for every branch. There is no hostel facility in our colleges, neither sports and games are organised in our college.
Faculty: Only a few faculty members are helpful in our college. Some teachers teach from basics and provide all the necessary things required for students development and treat students as their child. The course curriculum is relevant, and it is prepared by Osmania University. It makes the student industry-ready but not entirely.
Other: I opted this course because I was keenly interested in mechanical. Practical knowledge and industrial tours, as well as personal development, needs to be improved. Some events are conducted, but fest and extracurricular activities are not organised.

It is an excellent college, and I had an awesome experience.
Placements: Our college has students who scored a good percentage in their academics like 50, 60, 75, etc. They provide placements to all branches, and they also help us to get placements in all good industries. All companies will visit here for placements.
Infrastructure: The infrastructure of our college is good. There is a big canteen which serves good food, labs and good library with all books and Wi-Fi on some floors. In some branches, there are good classrooms, but there is no Wi-Fi. There are also no smart classrooms, no projects, etc., but it has good infrastructure in classrooms. There is ground with basketball, cricket, etc. Students have a great time at lunch with fun.
Faculty: Faculty members in our college are good and help us to get out of our problems. They motivate us and deal with us. They are a bit strict in all but provides good knowledge to us. They have good knowledge in their fields. The course curriculum makes students industrial-ready.
Other: It is an excellent college with good surrounding and best placements.

The college is slightly below average and there are many other better colleges.
Placements: Placements in the college began properly in December 2017 for the mechanical department. New faculty members have been hired for placements they have been working diligently for the students. The expected salary range is 10,000-20,000 per month. The companies coming for recruitment are not bad but not good either. You can say they are below average. A possibility of getting a job is there, but it is very difficult as the competition is very high. The number of students being placed is low because companies are coming for few students. Mostly 1-5 students are hired by a company, and the total placements are around 20-25 in the mechanical department. The number of students to be placed ranges from 100-140 depending on how many students have come in through lateral entry during 2nd year, the number of detained students, the number of students not applying for a job due to other reasons like higher studies or finding work abroad. So 20-25 students are hired from a total of 100-140 students. It is likely to be improved as this was the first year of placements after the change of faculty.
Infrastructure: The infrastructure of the building is neat and well-maintained with working fans and lights. The toilets are clean, and the taps are not broken. The engineering building is also neat and clean, but in some classes, the fans are not working which makes it quite hot and uncomfortable during summer. In some classes, the window panels are removed, so in summer the light will hit you directly if you are sitting facing the sun. Each floor has two places where toilets are present. However, some of the toilets do not have a working pipeline for water, in some others, the taps are broken, and sometimes the flush isn't working which makes it very smelly and unhealthy. The good news is that at least one toilet is functioning properly on every floor. As for the labs in the mechanical department, they are good. All the machinery is present in the labs, and they are in good operating condition. There is rarely a case where the machinery isn't working, and students can see the experiments performed on these machines. The lathe machine, the Kaplan and Pelton turbine, parallel flow heat exchangers and many other machines that are used in core mechanical companies are present albeit in a smaller size to show functionality. Students can see the professors do the experiments but not perform them because if anything went wrong, there could be damage to the students as the machinery is very heavy or damage to the machines which would cost lacs of rupees to fix. The campus has a wide ground in the middle where all the other buildings are situated. It is not a large campus by any means, but it is spacious. There are no official activities that college students do on the campus ground, but if you request permission from the principal, they allow you to play football or cricket 30 minutes after the college timings are over.
Faculty: The mechanical department faculty are qualified. The core courses are taught by professors who have at least a masters degree, and the tough courses are taught by professors who have a PhD in the field. Some of the professors are very good at teaching but the sad part is that apart from 4 or 5 professors in the mechanical department, the others are not good teachers. They do not have any lack of knowledge but are unable to explain properly or in a manner which students understand. Just attending the classes will help you pass the final easily but your marks will not be very good. If you ask the professors questions about the subject matter you didn't understand, they will clear your doubts totally, and if you do this repeatedly with your doubts, you will receive a lot of knowledge from them and get good grades. The professors have the knowledge in their heads, but their presentation skills are lacking while teaching. They are very helpful when approached as long as you attend their classes regularly. If you are fine with asking the professor doubts and getting them cleared then this college is for you. If you don't approach professors with doubt after classes, then you will have a tough time in scoring well.
Other: No annual event is organised in the college by the college authorities. However, if the students want a fest or a technical design competition, they may approach their head of department and request him for permission. They will usually grant permission for technical design competitions because it will help develop skills.

Easy to reach the college as campus is in the heart of Hyderabad city.
Placements: The placement cell is active on Facebook. The methodology of working is not okay to good. The salary package is in between 15,000 to 20,000 INR. Some unrecognised companies also come. The placement cell provides seminars to encourage the students indulging in placement drive. Around 5% of the students got placed last year.
Infrastructure: The classrooms are well ventilated. Some lab equipment and devices are not in working condition like a thermal lab, mechanics lab, hydraulic machines lab, and metal cutting lab. Every year, an unofficial cricket tournament is held in hockey ground, Masab Tank, Hyderabad. Wi-Fi is not available for students, but the password can be given on demand.
Faculty: The faculty are extremely good and helpful to the students. They are moderately qualified but knowledgeable. Audio-visual teaching methods are used for hard concepts like thermodynamics, fluid mechanics, FEM, and CAD-CAM. The student to faculty ratio is 60:1, but most of them will be absent, so only 30 to 40 students attend the classes. The course curriculum is good and useful. Our HOD has a noisy attitude.
Other: The principal does not permit the fest easily, he says that only technical games should be there in the fest. As the college is home to AIMIM headquarters, public meetings are not a new thing. The campus surrounding is noisy and air-polluted, but well connected to outside world.

Dissatisfied because of no facilities are available when compared to other colleges.
Placements: You will get placed in reputed companies, but only 1 or 2 companies visit the college, and there is a less chance of placement. It depends on your performance, and if you perform well in the campus interview then only you may get a chance to be selected, otherwise, you can search the job privately.
Infrastructure: The college has a good environment and digital library. It also consists of a medical college, so don't worry about medical facilities. There are no sports, and no canteens are available. There are no hostels, but overall good knowledge can be gained by the reputed teachers.
Faculty: The main thing in this college is about teachers, reputed teachers with good knowledge will clarify your doubts anytime, and even you can call them. The curriculum was useful which is given by these lecturers. I would rate 8 out of 10 for the teaching quality.

Wonderful faculty and teaching methods.
Placements: The placements were good for our seniors batch. Almost, 29% of the students got placements. The highest salary was 4.2 lacs per annum, and the lowest was 1.9 lacs per annum. The students were offered the roles like customer service, data analyst, etc. There is a placement cell in our college.
Infrastructure: Our college has Wi-Fi facility. The college has lift facility for the students. We have grounds for the sports. There are labs with the latest instruments. The classrooms are comfortable and don't have canteen as we have an open gate system. I did not face any infrastructure related issues during my tenure.
Faculty: Teachers are highly qualified. Each and every professor had done master and B.ED. There teaching is awesome. They also provide good practical knowledge to their students. We have also gone through the industrial visit in which our teachers had given us a useful knowledge.
Other: We have many fests in our college. The maximum is the technical fest, and we also have good campus crowd and campus is located in the heart of the city with train facility, bus and every facility. Our state government provide us with the scholarship.

One of the best engineering college in the city.
Placements: The various companies such as Genpact, Amazon, and, Accenture hire the graduates at the campus itself. Mostly, they hire IT, CSE based students. Although, the problem is with the government of India as they don’t open the vacancies for the students of various groups (mechanical, civil, electrical and, instrumentation).
Infrastructure: Infrastructure is good with the new building. The old building walls have been cracked, and the building should be renovated. Although the building is old, still it remains cooler during summer. With a big parking area and good playground. The canteen facility is not available.
Faculty: The faculty of mechanical engineering, civil engineering, electrical engineering, instrumentation, IT and, CSE are good. And also, all the lab faculty members are good and friendly.
