B.E. in Electrical and Electronics Engineering - Batch of 2019
3.4

Satisfied with teachers, but not with placement and infrastructure.
Placements: The placements are medium. The companies like Amazon, Infosys, Zifo Rnd Solutions, Skava, Tech Mahindra, Aspire systems, COINDIA etc, come for the placements. The highest salary offered is Rs. 4,20,000 per annum. The average salary is Rs. 1,80,000 per annum. The lowest salary is Rs. 1,20,000 per annum.
Infrastructure: Infrastructure is pretty not bad. The college has Wi-Fi facility, good lab facility etc. The quality of the classroom and lab is medium. The quality of food in canteen and hostel is poor. The departments have labs like microprocessor and microcontroller lab, project lab etc.
Faculty: The departments have some experienced professors. The teachers are helpful and well qualified. They have got good knowledge. The teaching methods used are videos, flip-flop method, NPTEL, EDUSAT class, etc. The student to faculty ratio is 20:1.

B.E. in Electrical and Electronics Engineering - Batch of 2016

Genuine review of an alumnus.
Placements: Placement scenario for my batch was considerably good. Expected companies listed by the college management have visited the campus for recruitment and the recruitment number was quite good. It was also quite satisfactory when compared to our senior batch. Though eminent companies did not visit, few of the good companies came for recruitment and most of the students from my batch were placed in both core and IT industries. The highest package was offered by Amazon for at 4 lakhs per annum but the packages offered by other companies was not as expected from the students. Only few core companies like Bosch, Tessolve, Salzer, etc. visited the campus for recruitment but many IT companies visited the campus including HP, Amazon, HCL and many others for various roles like software engineer, product design, etc. Internship was one part that was not given much importance and the student had to individually approach the company for getting internship which is quite difficult in terms of acceptance. The stipend was very less and in few industries, there was no stipend offered. But the placement cell had advised and given precautions regarding the fall in hiring for core industries, so the college provided pre-placement training to strengthen the basics and fundamentals which helped in facing the interview with confidence.
Infrastructure: The infrastructure of the college was good with an eco-friendly campus. Wi-Fi facilty was made available in the classrooms as well as in the hostel. The classrooms were Google Smart Classrooms which enabled active and interactive teaching and learning methodology. The library was equipped with a good number of books and journals and various articles. Medical facilities were good and a small medical center was started within the campus to provide health checkups. Sports and games facilities were not good. The physical education department had less number of people and the students were not involved that much into sports activities when compared to other colleges. The quality of labs was good. Computer labs were well equipped and the college was one of the main center for various government exams. But few of the laboratories required more improvement and new equipment and instruments had to be installed to expose students to modern technologies. The classrooms were properly furnished and Google Classroom facility was implemented in all the classrooms to foster new and innovative way of learning. The quality of food available in the canteen was good but the price seemed to be high. The hostel rooms were clean and other facilities were provided in a proper manner. During my tenure in the college, there were no issues related to infrastructure and everything seemed to be quite satisfactory.
Faculty: My experience with the faculty was divergent with a few faculty members establishing a good student-faculty relationship while others provided an unremarkable experience. Few of the faculty members for core subjects were well qualified and provided a clear overview of the subject. But most of the faculty members did not have proper knowledge about the subject and most of the important topics were left uncovered. Practical exposure was also not given on the important topics. The teaching methods were good with the implementation of Google Classrooms but a few teachers did not make of this technology and their teaching methods were less interesting and less helpful. The student-faculty ratio was 50:1. The course curriculum was not updated and we were not exposed to the latest and modern technologies developed in our concerned field. Also, less industry exposure was provided to us as a result of which, practical implementation of the concepts was hard for the students.
Other: The overall experience during my tenure in the college was good. Though there are many positive things that I experienced, there are many things to be improved and implemented. The quality of faculty has to be improved. Laboratories with new technology and latest equipment have to be installed which would help to learn new techniques. Sports facility has to be improved. Finally, the positive things have to appreciated and the negative ones are to be improved for the betterment of the future students.
