Average college, Good placements for IT guys.

Placements: 70-80% Students were placed, but the main reason is only it companies recruit students. Core branches (CE, ME, EE) students also apply for IT jobs or preparing for government jobs because of Lake of core jobs. Avg package offered by IT companies is around 4-5lakh.

Infrastructure: Wi-Fi, labs, smart Classrooms are available and library have inof books for semesters as well as GATE or other compitative exams. You can join hostel if you want otherwise PGs are available in walking distance from tha campus, in college hostel there are 3 students in a room.

Faculty: Teachers are helpful, few have Ph.D. degrees or most of lectures have master degree, lab assistants are also qualified. Course curriculum is decided by the University (Jharkhand University of Technology). Semester exams are not too much difficult if you are studying regularly.

Other: As we know that Electrical branch is a mother branch, in this branch there are many opportunities in government as well as pvt sector. Basically I choose this course because I want to join PSUs by qualfiying GATE exm.

Faculty always motivate us to enhance our skills and do something unique.

Placements: Almost 90% of student were placed last year. 4.5 Lakh is the average package in top companies like TATA steel and TCS etc. Many companies offered an internship to students such as Paytm, TATA and DVC. Almost more than 60% of student get internships in various companies.

Infrastructure: There is a very pleasant and awesome environment for students. Whole 22 Acre campus is surrounded with hills having Wi-Fi, smart classrooms, e-Library, highly advance Lab. Separate hostels fully equipped with Wi-Fi facility and CCTV camera with high security. College is funded by Tequip-3. There are lots of facilities provided by college management in both academics and non- academics field. College provides free GATE classes from GATE academy and GATE forum. College provides financial support to poor children.

Faculty: All teachers are qualified from top institutes of India such as IIT and NIT with good teaching experience. All teachers are very helpful to children and motivate them to enhance their skills. They are very active and friendly to students. They are very helpful and the student can ask questions from them anytime.

Other: I had chosen Electrical Engineering at Dumka Engineering College because the environment of Electrical Department is very awesome. All faculty members and staff are very knowledgeable and experienced in their respective field. They always motivate us to enhance our skills and do something unique.

Not satisfied with the college and crowd.

Placements: Placements in the Electrical, Mechanical, and Civil branches are fine as per the college reputation. Mechanical and Electrical branches are NBA Grade A category, so students are placed through mass recruiters. However, ECE and CSE are not that strong. Students mostly secure placements through off-campus opportunities. The average package is not officially declared, but as per seniors it is around 3.2–3.7 LPA. The highest package is 13 LPA, which was from the ECE branch, secured off-campus.

Infrastructure: Infrastructure is really bad and looks very old, with no proper maintenance or paint. Labs are fine, but apart from that, nothing is in good condition. Hostel is in similar condition with 3 students per room. Hostels are decent, but food is below average. There are no proper sports facilities and not even a proper ground.

Faculty: Faculty members are average. Some are supportive and some are not. The Electrical HOD is good as per seniors. The curriculum is designed by JUT, so it is the same across all colleges in Jharkhand state-run institutions. It is decent, but needs improvement in timely results and exam scheduling. Internships are included in the course.

Other: I chose this course because of the ROI. I am on a free seat, so my total academic fees are Rs. 80,000 for 4 years.
