Dumka Engineering College is worth it.

Placements: Placement opportunities are less compared to other colleges in Jharkhand. Very few or no companies come to the college. If you are capable, then you can surely grab good packages both on and off campus. Recently, it has collaborated with Techno India, Main Salt Lake, and Kolkata, so now its placement rate is increasing.

Infrastructure: Faculty members are too good, and professors are helpful. College life is okay, neither good nor bad. Classrooms are now upgraded to smart classrooms, and the library is also present and we can borrow issue books for a year. The hostel is okayish but hygienic, though the food is not healthy too, it's very oily.

Faculty: The course is relevant, it comes under Jharkhand University of Technology, Ranchi, so the course is relevant for placements and all. Exams happen monthly, and one can easily pass if they give 1 to 2 hours daily. Also, professors are well-qualified, they have done their Ph.D. from renowned institutes.

Other: Here, the tech fest is conducted by the college every year, and we enjoy a lot. Also, sports tournaments happen. In tech branches, most of students get placed, so it's one of the best things about the college.

All things are good except placements and internship.

Placements: The placements rate are very low. Believe me, only 4 to 5 students just get placed every year out of 180 students. Literally, 4 students, believe me. Hence, the placement rate is 3%. I know it is hard to believe, but it is the reality of Dumka Engineering College. And one important note is that our college does not provide any on-campus placements. They just sent 10 students to Techno India Main Salt Lake, Kolkata (as it is run by Techno India). Out of 10, only 4 got placed in each department.

Infrastructure: Campus life is good, not that bad. Lots of greenery, and it is pretty decent and beautiful. Classrooms are also quite decent. Labs, lab teachers, smart rooms, library, and everything is available as required with no problem there. Hostel food is not that good, pretty decent and oily as usual. Sports and games do happen every year.

Faculty: Teachers are well-educated and skilled, but the only main problem is placements and internship. All teachers are well-qualified, and everyone has done either their Ph.D., M.Tech., or B.Tech. from IITs and NITs. The course curriculum is difficult, but you can pass easily if you study well.

Other: I chose this course as I have an interest in coding and computers, and the main thing is CSE has scope and it gives quite a pretty good salary. E-Kalyan scholarship is available for OBC, SC, and ST students who belong to Jharkhand. The free seat will get around 30k of scholarship, and the payment seat usually will get 65k to 70k+ scholarship every year.

If students are finding a government college then they should visit.

Placements: Placements are based on students' skills. If students did their projects and other things correctly companies would hire them. Students have to study well and do all the things correctly companies recruit students with good communication skills. The average salary package offered is 5 LPA.

Infrastructure: The infrastructure is very good with all the necessary facilities. Hostels are well-equipped with Wi-Fi, good rooms are well maintained with cleaned washrooms, and lobby areas. It has big mess with varieties of food and hygiene is maintained. Our sports centers are well modified and well maintained.

Faculty: The topics covered here are easy to understand. Every subject is explained clearly by our professors. Once a week students get our subject notes from our students' forum. The course is relevant to the curriculum. Teaching staff changes frequently. The teaching is not that good and hard to understand.

Other: It is great to have friends here. All are great teacher and students bond is very good.

This college is value for money, students can get jobs with such low fee which is good.

Placements: Approximately 100% of the CSE students who are worth getting jobs are placed in different companies. If someone have good coding skills and aptitude, then they surely will get placed in IT easily. Even I get offers from three companies like TCS, Infosys, Wipro.

Infrastructure: This college has an average infrastructure in terms of classrooms but it is still improving. Many of the building works completely on solar power. College has the most advanced language room and seminar room. The library has enough books for the concerning curriculum. The librarian will arrange books related to the syllabus for students.

Faculty: Teachers are well qualified. Like in every college, some teachers will make students feel like enjoyment session in their class and some teachers are like those boring teachers that will make students bunk their classes. It is the story of every college. The exam is taken on time, and students do not have to worry about the degree to be completed on time.

Other: The campus is very friendly as it is a ragging-free zone. Some seniors are very supportive and some seniors are not. It depends on the students how they make relation with their senior or batchmates or junior.

Because of faculty members, we got good placements in 2021.

Placements: Only 5-10% of the students get placed because very less number of companies visit our college to hire students in our college. The lowest salary package offered is 2 LPA which is obviously not good for anyone. Rarely, the highest salary package offered is 6 LPA only for some selected branches like ECE and EE, and for others courses, companies do not visit the college to hire students. Techno India company visit our college to hire students. A top role offered to the students is a software development engineer.

Infrastructure: Our college does not have a good infrastructure. It does not serve good quality food. Our college does not provide medical facilities, basketball, cricket and other clubs. It does not have enough space for outdoor games. Even the whole campus does not have a large area. This college is a subpart of the Diploma college itself.

Faculty: Faculty members in our college are not good. They do not have an idea of how to teach students. They do not have any certificate in teaching line or experience, and they just do it for earning money. Semester exams are not hard. They do not have good skills in teaching.

Other: I have chosen this course because I am interested in coding. It should provide a competitive and active environment. A tech fest is organised at the college. The campus is not crowded.

It is a good college. Everyone is cooperative and helpful here.

Placements: In our college, placements are not up to the mark. If you want good placements, then I suggest not to join this college. This college only gives you a B.Tech degree, but if you want to study for competitive exams like GATE, ISRO or PSUs, then it is a good college.

Infrastructure: The infrastructure of our college is good, but management is not good. The college is not even painted properly. You would like its design, but nothing is maintained in the college. There are no air-conditioners in the classrooms, but the office is good. Light facilities are good, and overall, the college campus is good.

Faculty: Teachers are very helpful and qualified, but a few teachers are not co-operative. However, most of them are good, and they always help you in trouble, doubt solving and always ready for help. However, some of them are a bit irritating, and they don't listen to anyone. Overall, the college has good faculty members.

Other: If you want to study in silence and want to prepare for other competitive exams, then I suggest joining here as it is a good college.

I am dissatisfied with some subject teachers like maths, Java, DBMS. Placements in 2017 were good.

Placements: From our course, 7 students got placed out of 45 students. The highest salary package offered was 3.2 LPA and the lowest salary package offered was 1.6 LPA. Wipro is the top recruiter for our course, which is off-campus placement, and students attend off-campus placements on their own. Debugger, web development and web designing are the top roles offered in our course. The highest salary package offered in our course was 3.1 LPA and the lowest salary package offered was 1.9 LPA. Only one student got an internship in TCS.

Infrastructure: Wi-Fi facility, labs, smart classrooms, library and all facilities are provided by the government of Jharkhand and TEQUIP. All facilities which are needed in the hostel available like a mess, canteen, medical, ambulance, volleyball ground, cricket and football grounds and badminton.

Faculty: Faculty members here are good but not very experienced because it is a new college and is managed by Techno India Kolkata. Teachers are helping, and their teaching quality is not very bad nor very good. Many students wish that teachers should be changed for some subjects. All the students are not ready to participate in extracurricular activities as only a few students are interested to participate.

Other: I chose this course because I have an interest in the computer field and also I want to get knowledge related to CS and IT field. This course make our country the best performer in the hardware electronics field. I wish that our college should improve the operating system and networking section of our course.

The infrastructure is not very good, but it improves over time.

Placements: About 80% of students are placed. The highest package is 12 LPA, and the lowest package is 2.5 LPA. Lwajiyatech offers around 30% HR roles. If you have more skills, you gain a higher LPA. Many companies come for internships and job placements, such as Lwajiyatech, Amazon, and some government companies. Currently, some companies also come for internships and hackathons.

Infrastructure: Facility is nice, all things are available, including a gym. Good food and room. Gyms are also available. Wi-Fi is available. Labs are good. The library is like some type of connected. The canteen is not that good. Medical facilities are not available. A first aid kit is available.

Faculty: The quality of the study is good, and all is good. Some difficulties you face in a semester if you do not study for the internal, then you fail. You have to work hard and learn apart from studying, like skills, something, college makes you industrial as well as job-ready.

Other: I want to build my own company, like writing the code on a page for an assignment. Festivals are good. But I have to pay attention to the campus size.
