Dyal Singh College, DU, is known for its good faculty, especially in the arts and commerce fields.
Placements: 55 percent of students got placed in the philosophy course, and the rest chose higher studies. The highest package offered in the philosophy course is 23 LPA. The lowest package offered ranges from 4-5 LPA. The average package offered is 8 LPA. KPMG, EY, and Genpact companies hire students in our course. A total of 15 students got internships from our course. Roles offered in the philosophy course are management, consultant, research analyst, policy consultant, lawyer, etc.
Infrastructure: In our course, Wi-Fi is available. The library is present, and other departments that require labs are also present. There is a 2-floor library. The ground floor is for a study area and contains some books, and 1 floor contains all the books related to every course. The hostel is under construction right now, and it will be completed in 2-3 years.
Faculty: Teachers of our course are very helpful, qualified, and knowledgeable. Their teaching quality is good, and their nature is friendly. Semester exams are from moderate to high level. In our course, the maximum pass percentage is 85.
Other: I chose this course because I have an interest in reading different philosophers' books. The best thing about a philosophy course is that it makes us think in the correct way and makes us more responsible for our decisions.

It has a good crowd and a faculty.
Placements: Fewer people were placed in my course. The average package offered was 5 LPA. Approximately 25 percent of students got internships in different companies in my course. More government jobs were preferred.
Infrastructure: The college offers good Wi-Fi, well equipped labs, clean classrooms, and a resourceful library. Hostel facilities were decent, with average but hygienic mess food. Basic medical support was available, and the campus had good sports and game facilities. It can be anything, and it had a good crowd, which was very energetic, and extracurricular activities were very active.
Faculty: Teachers were helpful, qualified, and taught clearly. The curriculum was relevant and built practical understanding, making students industry ready. Semester exams were moderately difficult, but with regular study most students passed with a success rate.

Totally satisfied with the course and faculty. Infrastructure is one of the best on the South campus
Placements: Placement in my college varies depending on the course and the societies that you join. There are some useful ones like enso debsoc flick etc., they are very interactive and even beneficial for the resume. Some societies are not as beneficial as spilled ink, which is the poetry society. It's good if you have an interest in the poetry domain, but for the future, it's of no use.
Infrastructure: Hostel is not provided.
Faculty: Exams are not that tough, all the study material is regularly provided by the teachers, and they take extra classes whenever it is necessary. Also, help in sending the questions that are important from the exam point of view. Teachers often support and motivate the students during exam time and are also there if any student needs their personal guidance. The staff in my course is very friendly and response, I'm currently in 2nd year and by far the teachers that I have recieved are very understanding and humble. Students in my course are also very friendly. If not too bad.
Other: Political Science at Dyal Singh College is one of the most famous courses, along with history and geography honors. The majority of the students that I meet are from my course or history honours. A good number of seats were offered at the admission time, and these 3 courses, their faculty are very good, and they also hold seminars regularly to provide extra guidance and real-time experience by graduates from our college or people in the same field.

3Placements3Infrastructure4Faculty4Crowd & Campus Life2Value for Money
Good placements, the highest package is in the year 2024, good infrastructure, no hostel facility.
Placements: Placements are quite good, but not so high. You can expect placement around 4 LPA-5 LPA after completing graduation. The highest package of our college was 23.5 LPA in the year 2024. The package in 2020 was 20 LPA. If you expect a really high package, then this college is not for you.
Infrastructure: The infrastructure of the college is good. Our college is divided into two buildings. One is for morning, and one is for evening. There is a canteen, library, playgrounds, NCC ground, and basketball court in our college. But no hostel is available. The college campus is smaller than most of the DU colleges.
Faculty: The teachers are really good. They are helpful, knowledgeable, and they teach us very well. Teachers treat us as their own children. The course curriculum is relevant from my point of view. Semester exams are really hard. But students are also very smart, most of the students pass the exams easily.
Other: There is one problem with college. Generally, no fests and events take place in college.

Dyal Singh through my aspects.
Placements: Almost 30-40 percent of students got placed in our faculty of commerce. The highest package is 36 LPA, and the lowest is somewhere around 3 LPA, and the average is 5.5 LPA. Top companies are Deloitte, Accenture, Genpact, Bajaj, etc. Roles offered in our college are associate, executive, sales & marketing.
Infrastructure: Our college campus area is very large. Morning and evening classes are running at the same time in our college. Our college canteen is very affordable and the cheapest in terms of price in that area. Wi-Fi is only available in the library and computer labs of our college.
Faculty: Our faculty of commerce is very supportive and kind in nature. Most of them are very supportive. Expect a few, like a Ma'am who used to teach law in the 1st and 2nd semesters in our college. Teacher regularly take class tests and gives us various assignments for our internal assessment.
Other: I always wanted to get admission in B.Com (H) at University of Delhi due to its hype, crowd, etc. I want our university to be ready to implement NEP 2020. Our college fest happens for some time, but only at NIT every year.

I highly recommend joining this college.
Placements: There is no specific date I have for how many students were placed, but there is an average number of students who get placed in the college. It is around 4-5 LPA. The highest amount placed in the college is 23 LPA. Top recruiting companies are KPMG, EY, Deloitte, PwC, Genpact, HCL Technologies, and JLL.
Infrastructure: The infrastructure of my course is very good. We have the best department in the college. There is no facility in the hostel, which is a minus point for the college. The quality of food is also good in the canteen. Prices are almost as low as compared to the markets. College is also active in sports activities.
Faculty: Faculty members are cool. They are all kind and well-informed. Sometimes they conduct a seminar on a specific topic. They discuss this with students from different departments. Their teaching skill are good. If we talk about exams and class tests. Everything is fine.
Other: I chose this course because I have chosen political science as my future career. The best thing about my course is that it has the best department in the college. The campus crowd is amazing. There are people from all over India, which makes the campus more colorful in terms of language and culture.
