Welcome to Dyal Singh College.
Placements: Almost the placement percentage in my course is zero. No one really hires anyone. Students generally opt for higher education or choose work in which they are personally skilled. If talking about the whole college, the highest package is 26-28 LPA, and the average package is 4-5 LPA.
Infrastructure: The infrastructure is not really good. Wi-Fi is available, and labs are there, but they are pointless. The classroom conditions are alright, neither good nor bad. The canteen is affordable and clean for the price. There is no hostel in Dyal Singh College. Sports and games are actively played by everyone. NCC is really active.
Faculty: Teachers are not helpful at all. They are qualified and knowledgeable, but they do not understand the problems faced by us. Semester exams are easy to crack. 70-75% of students pass without any backlogs. Extracurricular activities do not really happen in my course, but there are a lot of student-owned societies that conduct extracurricular activities.
Other: I think this is a good course until I really start studying it. Scholarships are given to students who need financial aid. To improve my course, teachers should focus more on practical situations.

Review of Dyal Singh College, University of Delhi.
Placements: Hardly anyone gets placed. Most B.A. Program students prepare for UPSC, and no one hires B.A. students through the placement cell. Students can look for jobs through their own skills, but not through the placement cell. Most of the students who get placed are from B.Com or Economics (Hons.).
Infrastructure: The biggest misconception is that Dyal Singh College does not offer any hostel facilities. The canteen food is cheap and affordable, but apart from that, the classroom conditions are not really good. The paint is scraped off the walls, and a few months back, the ceiling broke down.
Faculty: Teachers are helpful, but not everyone. They still follow old-style teaching. Some teachers actually say, keep your phones in your bag, or I'll throw them out of the window. Semester exams are easier than they seem. You just need to study for 8 hours before the exam and can easily score good marks.
Other: I am not really fond of the events. The first-ever fest happened last year, and before that, no fest really happened. Scholarships are provided only to students receiving financial aid.

Review of Dyal Singh College, University of Delhi.
Placements: Most people opt for higher education, and almost no one prefers a job after graduation. Those who want a job after graduation usually look for one themselves. Similarly, for internships, students reach out to different companies on their own, mostly through LinkedIn or Unstop.
Infrastructure: The course is considerably good. However, Dyal Singh College does not offer hostel facilities. Wi-Fi is available only in the library. We do have a girls' common room with AC. The canteen food is affordable and decent. Sports equipment and extracurricular activity facilities are also good.
Faculty: Exams are alright and follow a fixed pattern. Questions are often repeated. It makes them easy to crack. Students score an average of 7 GPA without studying much. The course is relevant and has a practical approach. Teachers help with everything possible and also teach beyond the textbook.
Other: Events are mostly conducted by students themselves. The official fest happens once a year, while other official events are organized from time to time. The college has great connectivity and is located near many industries.

About Dyal Singh College and DU.
Placements: If you are solely coming for the placements offered by the college, that is fine. But for that, you have to build a good skill set. It is important everywhere, so it is nothing new. Without the required skills, college placements are of little value. Many good companies do visit the college for recruitment.
Infrastructure: I would rate the infrastructure 4 out of 5 because it is a subjective thing. It depends on many factors, such as your friends, the society you spend time with, and many other things. Infrastructure cannot be judged by a single factor. The college provides basic facilities like clean drinking water, and since it is located in a very posh area, you can expect good facilities. The canteen is very good. I personally like the canteen of this college because I have visited many college canteens and found this one to be among the best.
Faculty: Talking about faculty members, it basically depends on the course you are studying. To be honest, Delhi University faculty members are not equally good in every department, but you can find many good faculty members in this college, as I have experienced. It is not possible that every faculty member is equally good. Try to maintain a respectful relationship with professors. Do not cross professional boundaries, understand the hierarchy, and be friendly with them.

Life at Dyal Singh College.
Placements: Personally, I am in Economics Honors, and there are not many placement opportunities for my course. However, companies like PW and Deloitte visit the college, mainly for B.Com (Hons) students. Placements are not very good, but they are decent. Students need to look for off-campus opportunities as well. They should not rely only on on-campus placements.
Infrastructure: The infrastructure of Dyal Singh College is good. The buildings are well maintained. The evening college building is newly constructed. The campus has many gardens and open grounds for students to spend time in. It is aesthetic and bigger than most of the campuses of Delhi University.
Faculty: I am pursuing Economics Honors, and the faculty here is decent. Some teachers are really nice and supportive, while some are laid back, so we have to study on our own. Overall, if you are good at self-study, it is manageable because no one follows up with students too much. Solving previous years' question papers is also enough to score decent marks.
Other: The college does not have any annual fest. I think this can be improved, but the history of fests is not good, which is why it does not conduct one. I hope it starts again in the future.

One of the biggest colleges in Delhi University.
Placements: Mainly in Political Science, honours placements are below average. This is common in every Delhi University College because Political Science honours usually don't provide placements. But still, last year, as far as I know, around 40 to 50 percent of students secured a government job through exams like SSC. Also, internship opportunities are really good. The college has its own dedicated placement cell, which provides internships to even first years in fields like media, Madhya Pradesh MLA assistant office, customer Care centres, Niti Aayog inter, Ministry of Information in inter, I myself have got an internship with a union minister.
Infrastructure: College infrastructure is one of the best in Delhi University. Dyal Singh College have around 13 acres of campus, which makes it one of the biggest colleges in the entire university. Amenities like Wi-Fi, library, canteen, medical, and all sports-related facilities like ground, football court, basketball court, badminton court, volleyball court, bench area, Rose garden, biological garden, sports room, are available. A dedicated Science blog is also built on the college campus to facilitate science-related requirements like Chemistry and Biology labs, Maths lab, Geography lab, and astrology lab. Canteen food is average but is very affordable.
Faculty: The syllabus is the same, and the exam pattern is also the same across Delhi University. The exam paper and syllabus both are decided by the university. High commission college plays no role in selecting the curriculum and questions. The faculty is one of the best. Professors are knowledgeable and helpful. Different activities are always given to students to make them industry-ready.
Other: I chose Political Science to follow my passion. The housing college offers one of the best Political Science faculty, and also the campus life is really great. The thing that could be better is the hostel facility for students. The college was famous for student fights, but now the scenario has changed as CUET is bringing a good crowd. Last year was good, but the college doesn't have a very good past in organising fests. As I told you, the crowd is changing, so now we can expect a good fest from them.
