Good college with decent faculty members, facilities, and placements.

Placements: I'm looking into the M.E. in Machine Design course at FCRIT in Navi Mumbai. From what I found, about 67% of students got placed in recent years. Average salary was around 3.33 LPA, and highest package was 5 LPA. Companies like TCS, Siemens, Capgemini, Oracle, Reliance, and IBM usually come for placements. I couldn't find exact details about internships or job roles, but overall, the college seems to have decent placements and good company tie-ups.

Infrastructure: Department has well-equipped labs, clean classrooms with projectors, and campus-wide Wi-Fi. Library offers a good range of books and digital resources. Hostel rooms are clean with basic furniture and internet access. Mess food is average but manageable, while the canteen offers better options. Basic medical facilities are available, with a nearby hospital for serious cases. Sports facilities include a gym, playground, and courts for various games. Overall, environment is student-friendly and supportive for academics and activities.

Faculty: Teachers are helpful, well-qualified, and have good subject knowledge. Most of them are approachable and supportive when it comes to clearing doubts or guiding projects. Teaching quality is good, with a mix of theory and practical learning. Course curriculum is relevant and covers industry-related tools and concepts, helping students become industry-ready. Semester exams are moderately difficult, mostly based on what is taught in class. With regular study, it's manageable. Pass percentage is generally good, with most students clearing the exams.

Other: I chose this course because I have a strong interest in mechanical systems and product design, and Machine Design offers in-depth knowledge in those areas. Best things about the course are the practical approach, industry-relevant curriculum, and supportive faculty. However, I wish there were more placement opportunities specifically for core mechanical companies and more exposure to real-world projects. The college hosts technical events and cultural fests, and the campus crowd is friendly and diverse. It's well-connected by public transport, and the surroundings are safe. There are scholarships for deserving students and decent opportunities for extracurricular activities and sports.
