I wish the curriculum included more hands-on, project-based learning.
Placements: I'm from the 2022–26 AIML batch. Around 60–70% got placed. The top package is 8 LPA, and the average is around 3.5–4 LPA. Companies like TCS, Wipro, Capgemini, and HCL recruited. Internships were secured by 50% through platforms like Internshala and LinkedIn. Roles offered are mainly web developer, software intern, and data analyst. AI/ML-specific roles are rare. Top students had more chances due to their CGPA and coding skills. Placement support exists, but it can be better. The lack of strong placements and industry connections lowers the ROI. For self-motivated students, it's a good base to build from, but don’t expect the college alone to secure your future. You’ll need to hustle with internships and certifications.
Infrastructure: Our department has good labs, high-speed internet, and smart classrooms. The central library is peaceful and resourceful. Hostels are well-maintained, but food is average. Mess food is edible, but many prefer canteen snacks. Wi-Fi is decent in academic blocks, but a bit weak in hostels. There’s a basic medical center, plus playgrounds and indoor games. Cleanliness is maintained well. Overall, it's a solid campus for learning and living, especially if you're proactive.
Other: I chose AIML out of curiosity for AI and the future it holds. The course introduced me to Python, ML, and real-world challenges. But most of my learning came through projects, hackathons, and online platforms. Faculty support is okay, but self-study makes the real difference. I wish the curriculum included more hands-on, project-based learning. Still, the journey has been good so far.

Cyber Security course with strong industry exposure, good placements, and modern infrastructure.
Placements: I am from the 2023–2027 batch of B.Tech Cyber Security at Malla Reddy University. Around 75–80% of students in our course get placed through campus placements. The highest package offered is around 12 LPA, the lowest is 3.5 LPA, and the average package stands at approximately 5.5 to 6 LPA. Top recruiters include Deloitte, Cognizant, Capgemini, TCS, Wipro, and Tech Mahindra. About 65–70% of students get internships at companies like Deloitte, Infosys, Palo Alto Networks, and various startups in the cybersecurity domain. Popular job roles offered are SOC Analyst, Cybersecurity Consultant, Penetration Tester, and Cloud Security Analyst.
Infrastructure: The Cyber Security department is well-equipped with modern labs, high-speed Wi-Fi, and digital classrooms. It has access to platforms like Kali Linux, Wireshark, and VMware. The hostels are clean with 24/7 Wi-Fi, and the messy food is hygienic. But it could be more varied. The campus has a medical center, and sports facilities for both indoor and outdoor games. Ample space for recreation and study.
Faculty: Faculty members are helpful and well-qualified, and many have industry certifications. The curriculum is practical and industry-focused, covering topics like network defense, ethical hacking, risk management, and cloud security. Exams are moderately challenging but manageable with regular study. The pass percentage is around 85–90%. Students are supported with materials and revisions.
Other: I chose Cyber Security because it's a future-proof domain. The hands-on learning, helpful faculty, and opportunity to build real-time projects like SecureVault and Eye Mouse make the experience memorable. Improvements can be made in offering more specialized training for niche roles and expanding internship tie-ups with product-based companies. Overall, it's a strong program for anyone serious about a career in cybersecurity.

I'm dissatisfied with the faculty, although the curriculum is great and covers latest technology.
Placements: Around 600 students got placed, but the offered salary packages are quite low. Additionally, most of the companies that visit are service-based, there are barely any product-based companies. Students also do not have equal opportunities to participate in placements, and even the placement options available are not ideal.
Infrastructure: The classrooms infrastructure is excellent, with Wi-Fi, smart boards, and speakers. The college building is also good, with great sports facilities, including a really good cricket ground, volleyball court, table tennis, chess, carroms, kho-kho, and kabaddi. The college places a strong emphasis on sports.
Faculty: The faculty members are not highly qualified, but the curriculum is really good and covers the latest technologies. The exams are easy to pass, but most students lose marks in the internal assessments, as they have more weightage than the external exams. I wish the faculty had more knowledge. Overall, it’s not great.

Completely dissatisfied because of poor placements and no proper management of students.
Placements: About 35% of people get placed. Mostly in BPO roles. The highest package is 3.25 LPA, and the lowest is 2 LPA. Tech Mahindra offers internships. About 10% of people get internships in BPO customer support roles. When it comes to placements, I can say our college fails because they do not stand by words.
Infrastructure: The infrastructure is good, and there is no complaint about that because they are charging a huge amount of fees from students. The quality is also good or above average. Some incidents happen during our college academics where some people get food poisoning because of poor food, but later they improve it, I think.
Faculty: The teaching quality is below average. They have less experienced faculty. The curriculum make students industry-ready, but they don't train students in that manner. The exams are also according to their wish. Sometimes, they give very tough papers if they want students to fail.
Other: I chose this course because it was trending in the market four years ago, but now it's not. It does not make students industry-ready. Events are also not good at all. They simply host one event for the academic year, and that is also a waste.

An insightful review of MRU.
Placements: I am currently a Computer Science Engineering (CSE) student in the General stream, graduating in 2025. Placements are ongoing for our batch, with two companies, Tech Mahindra and Pragma Edge, having visited so far. The package offered has been around 3.5 LPA, and more details will emerge as placements progress. Most students in our course secure internships independently, as campus placement support for internships is limited. Graduates typically pursue roles like software developer, data analyst, and network engineer, though specific outcomes for our batch are yet to be seen.
Infrastructure: The CSE department has good infrastructure overall. The labs are well-equipped for practical learning, but the classrooms are average without any standout features. The Wi-Fi is often unreliable and could be improved. The library is decent, with adequate resources for our studies. However, the hostel facilities are quite expensive, which could be a concern for many students. Food quality is moderate, and I wouldn't particularly recommend it. Medical facilities are available but vary in quality. Sports and recreational options exist, but the facilities need better maintenance.
Faculty: The teachers in the CSE department are average. While they fulfill their roles, their engagement and support could be better to enhance the learning experience. The course curriculum is standard, covering necessary topics but with room for better alignment with industry requirements. Semester exams are moderately tough, balancing challenges and manageability. The pass percentage is typically around 80%, indicating that most students perform well.
Other: I chose the CSE course because it offers a strong foundation in technology and opens diverse career opportunities, making it a versatile choice. However, there is a need for better sports facilities and more organized fests to improve student engagement and campus life. Extracurricular activities are limited, and scholarship opportunities are not well-publicized. The campus crowd is average, and connectivity could be improved. The surroundings are decent but could be more vibrant to enhance the overall college experience.
