GCEK is very good as compared to 2014 all facility available.
Placements: Many students from 2016 and 2017 batch are placed in different MNCs like Wipro, IBM, Tech Mahindra, CGI, I2S Solutions. Maximum students got placement are from computer science batch only. The core placement is nill. There were no on-campus placements in government college of the engineer, Kalahandi till date.
Infrastructure: Here infrastructure is poor as compared to any other government colleges. The food quality is average, hostel rooms are good. Surrounding environment is silent and good for studying. The classrooms are good. All labs are equipped with good equipment. Infrastructure construction is going on.
Faculty: 4-year B.Tech courses offered with specialisation Electrical, Mechanical, Civil & computer science. Well-educated faculty members from NIT, IIT IIIT & government colleges are teaching here. Many national and state conferences are held. Many students from robotics group awarded prizes.
