The faculty was good and placements are good every year.

Placements: In my college, about 70% of students were placed in renowned companies. L&T, TCS, and AARBEE STRUCTURES were the top recruiting companies. In civil engineering, the main role offered is in planning, quantity surveying, AE's, etc. Most college students received internships at prestigious companies.

Infrastructure: The civil engineering block was well facilitated with 3 floors, and there is a well-occupied CAD lab facility. The classrooms are well organized. The department library was easily accessible, and the staff is very friendly. The college hostel is available only for hostels, and the food was not much bad.

Faculty: The teachers in the college were helpful, qualified, and knowledgeable. The teaching quality was good. The course curriculum is that of KTU, which was good, and the relevance in industry for students is not much appreciable. The exams are not very tough when it is well prepared. The pass percentage of civil engineering depth for my batch is approximately 90%.

Other: I chose this course because of the vast opportunities for civil engineers today. It is better if the course curriculum is made easy for every student who chose this course.

I am satisfied with faculty members.

Placements: The placement rate of our college is very good. About 60% of students got placed in the course. The highest salary package offered is 6 LPA. The lowest salary package offered is 3 LPA. Top recruiting companies are L&T, Cognizant, Aarbee Structures, Mitsogo, etc.

Infrastructure: The hostel facilities are of high quality. Our college has separate labs for each department and subject. Labs are equipped with high-quality machines. The hostel has a mess and medical facilities. Wi-Fi is available in our college.

Faculty: Teachers are very helpful, qualified, and knowledgeable. Semester exams are conducted directly by the university. Semester exams are not much difficult. The pass percentage in the civil department is about 89%. The course curriculum is relevant. It makes students industry-ready.

Other: Civil engineering is one of the most wanted courses in GECK. Our college has a calm environment.

It is a good college with good faculty members.

Placements: Placements provided in our department are less compared to other departments. Core companies like L&T and Arbee Structures visit our college to offer placements. Students who perform well in academics and the placement exam will be conducted in these companies. Most of the students try to stick to the core field rather than getting into an IT company. Many students pursue M.Tech from prestigious institutions through the GATE exam. Around 40% to 50% of students get placements in the civil department. L&T recruited students with an average salary package of 6 LPA to 8 LPA. Arbee Structures recruited students with an average salary package of 4 LPA. Placements depend on the performance of students. Good students got placed in good companies. Some students get placements from IT companies like Quest Global, Cognizant, etc.

Infrastructure: Civil engineering department has one of the best infrastructures in our college. It has a separate building, labs, Wi-Fi, and a library. Our college provides a hostel for girls but not for boys. Many hostels and PG facilities are available outside the campus.

Faculty: Teachers in our department are one of the best in this college. Our department assures good quality education. Around 90% of students pass end-semester exams. The course curriculum is more related to practical work. Students get good exposure to civil engineering industries.

It is located in the middle of town, with good teaching facilities and less campus space.

Placements: Around 40% of students in our class got placed in various companies, including civil core and software-based companies. TCS, Wipro, cognizant, Larsen & Turbo, Aarbee Structures, Infosys, etc., are the top recruiters. Salary packages range from 1.5 LPA to 7 LPA.

Infrastructure: Facilities for classrooms are sufficient, but the lab facilities are average. The library is fine, and Wi-Fi is of moderate speed. There is no hostel facility for men, and the ladies' hostel facility is limited. Students generally stay as PGs. Sports facilities are not good.

Faculty: Faculty members are above average. Their teaching quality is of a high standard. The curriculum does not make students industry-ready. The course curriculum is relevant enough. Exams are moderate, but the evaluation is not good and contains errors.

This is a good college academically, but the campus life is very limited.

Placements: Most of the students are getting placements according to their performance. Infosys, Wipro, etc., are the top recruiting companies. This college offers five bachelor of technology i.e B.Tech, and three master of Engineering i.e M.Tech courses. It is affiliated with this University of Calicut and APJ Abdul Kalam Technological University, and is recognised by the All India Council of Technical Education i.e AICTE. Around 66 regular students and six lateral entry students are accepted and enrolled in a B.Tech. Course every year, while the intake for the M.Tech. course is 18 students. The career guidance and placements cell i.e CGPC conducts workshops and training programs for students. One of its programs involves giving help to GECK students off-campus from the students and faculty members of other colleges.

Infrastructure: There are separate laboratories for each subject and it is very well maintained. Advanced equipment is provided in the laboratories for performing experiments. The institute has some space constraints, having difficulties in building the boys' hostel even though the fund has been sanctioned by the state government. Thereby this college PTA has been actively involved in selecting a new land area for the construction of a new campus. Initially, this college is located at the hostel of Government Polytechnic College, Kozhikode which is near the college. It is seven years after its founding, our college shifted to Westhill Kozhikode to its original building. The Government Engineering College, Kozhikode situated at West Hill is well connected to the Kozhikode city by open and wide roads, the institute campus is about 5 km i.e 3.1 miles away from the Kozhikode Railway Station and 30 km i.e 19 miles from Calicut International Airport.

Faculty: Teachers are very talented and helpful. They are highly qualified with most of them having Ph.D. in their subjects. The pass percentage of civil is about 70-90%, and the ranking of GEC Kozhikode by APJ KTU is based on the academic performance of students. The pass percentage of students in 2020 is rank of 39 out of 144 institutions with the pass percentage of 36.88%. The pass percentage for the year 2019 is 75.55%, and B.Tech S2 supplementary exam college wise pass percentage is 71.53%.

It is a decent college with good infrastructure and very nice teachers.

Placements: Placements in our college are average and mainly depend on the branch and individual efforts. Core branches have limited on-campus opportunities while some students get placed in IT and service-based companies. The highest packages are decent for a government college but many students opt for higher studies or off-campus opportunities.

Infrastructure: The college has good infrastructure with well-equipped labs, library, classrooms, and Wi-Fi availability. Hostel facilities are decent and affordable with basic amenities provided. The campus is clean and well-maintained though some facilities can be improved with modernization.

Faculty: Most of the faculty members are highly knowledgeable in their respective fields and are always willing to support and guide students both academically and personally. They explain concepts clearly and encourage students to ask questions which helps in developing a strong understanding of the subjects. The curriculum strictly follows the KTU syllabus and is well structured to provide a solid theoretical foundation in core engineering concepts. It covers essential topics required for higher studies and professional applications. The semester examinations are moderately difficult and are designed to test not only memory but also conceptual clarity and problem-solving skills.

Other: The campus has a diverse and friendly student crowd. Various technical, cultural, and arts events are conducted which help in overall personality development. Campus life is enjoyable with a good balance between academics and extracurricular activities.

Best engineering college, good faculties, placement, and the opportunity to make good friends.

Placements: In our college, Civil has the highest pass percentage in previous years. The best companies like L&T, Aarbee Structures, and many other popular companies come to our college to select well-educated, knowledgeable students. It is the best opportunity.

Infrastructure: In our college, no boys' hostel is available, but a ladies' hostel is present. The college has a good canteen offering nice food at an affordable price. The only drawback for our college is the lack of a football and cricket ground. However, the college bus uses other grounds near the college, and the college has a good team for sports.

Faculty: Teachers are very helpful, and the faculty members are well knowledgeable. They cover all the portions before exams, resulting in a high pass percentage. All labs and lab assistants are very helpful in understanding equipment and tasks easily. They treat everyone very well. Teachers are very helpful.
