I am dissatisfied with the college life.
Placements: Less than 25% of students got placed in civil engineering. The highest salary package offered is less than 20 LPA. Aarbee Structures is the only core company which visits our college for recruitment. Less than 10% of students got internships from the civil course. The top role offered in civil is a structural engineer trainee.
Infrastructure: Students don't get direct access to Wi-Fi. There are labs with average facilities. Our college has good classrooms and a library with essential books. The hostel has strict timings. The quality of the food is decent. There are no gym facilities. Sports and games are not available. Medical facilities are above average.
Faculty: Only a few teachers are helpful. Others don't know about the subject. They refer to YouTube in the class. Sometimes, they make mistakes. The course curriculum is outdated. It only focuses on bigger disciplines. Semester exams are difficult. The pass percentage is very low.
Other: I'm not sure what to choose; nothing seems special. A complete arrangement should be provided for the course. Events are not conducted well. Only 2 events are held in a semester. Others are not present in the campus.

Excellent and satisfied with the college.
Placements: Marian Engineering College is a very good college. Most of the students got placed in many companies. Almost 300 students got placed in many different companies. Most of the students got 5-6 LPA in companies like Infosys, IBM, Skill Winner, TSC, Federal Bank, and other companies as well.
Infrastructure: The college has excellent infrastructure, including smart classrooms, Wi-Fi, and labs. Both departmental and college libraries are available. The campus is clean and well maintained, with effective roads and bus transportation to many parts of Kerala. The college also has good seminar halls, and all classrooms have projectors installed.
Faculty: Marian Engineering College has a very excellent teaching staff. Most of the teachers have over 10 years of experience and are well qualified. They are very good at teaching their respective subjects and provide effective content. The pass percentage is almost 70-80%.
Other: I chose this course because I like civil engineering, which is the backbone of engineering. I especially enjoy designing and estimation.

Marian Engineering College- The standard definition for engineering studies.
Placements: The college provides many placement options. More jobs are offered in the IT field. Infosys, UST Global, Accenture, Suntech, RR Donnelly and Allianz are the main companies providing placements here. More than 70% students are placed from here. An average of 25000 rupees is offered by the companies to the freshers.
Infrastructure: Marian Engineering College provides lots of facilities. They provide a high-speed Wi-Fi connection to the students. There are large classrooms with CCTV monitoring. The library is facilitated with more than 50000 books and provided with PCs for browsing. They also have football and basketball grounds and provide coaching facilities.
Faculty: Faculty members are experienced and highly qualified. They give a good attention towards the students and produce high results. They provide lecture notes and printed notes for easy studies. They also take tests every month to make the students are clear on the subject.
Other: The college is run by the Latin Arch Diocess of Thiruvananthapuram. The management is providing great facilities for the students to improve their career by providing a startup fund. The management is keen to give admission to backward classes and thus providing education to all.

Very strict. Good faculty.
Placements: The placements were okay. Only IT companies recruited the students. Somewhat 30% students were placed. Infosys was the main recruiter. The highest salary offered was about 3.25 lakhs. Students were given placement training to tackle placement related exams. Students were given exposure to various talks and workshops related to their own areas of interest.
Infrastructure: The classrooms are spacious and equipped enough to accommodate all the students. The library is rich and you won't face an issue of getting academic related books. The labs were well-equipped. The hostel rooms were decent enough. There was only one canteen and that was pathetic. Wi-Fi facility was not available.
Faculty: The faculty members of the civil branch were much reliable and well-versed. They planned to teach the course efficiently. Industry exposure was lacking and was one of the main defects in the curriculum. The teaching faculty members were qualified enough and knowledgeable.

Other: Best private college in Thiruvananthapuram. One of the best in Kerala. Teachers are very experienced and efficient. Facilities provided for student are also is very good. Electronics and computer science department is even better than most of the government colleges. Other departments are also good.

Decent infrastructure and placement support, good faculty members, but an outdated curriculum.
Placements: I'm not sure about the exact percentage, but I think a few students get placed maybe around 50%. It may vary from year to year, though. I don't know about the package. The top recruiting companies are Infosys, HostDime, and many more. I'm not sure about the percentage of students who get internships. The top roles are design engineer, analyst, or depend on the company.
Infrastructure: Our college offers a decent range of facilities. Wi-Fi facility on campus is quite reliable and accessible, including in the hostel and academic blocks. It helps a lot with doing assignments and staying connected. Laboratories are well-equipped and perfect for practical sessions and projects. Classrooms are spacious and decent. Hostels life are quite comfortable and safe, and very tidy with regular cleaning. However, the only negative is the hostel food, some days it's good, other days it's just okay.
Faculty: Teachers are really helpful, qualified, and knowledgeable. Most of teachers are senior faculty members with really good subject knowledge. The course curriculum covers the core topics, however, that alone doesn't make students industry-ready, they need to do internships to improve their skills. The semester exams are quite hard and vary from subject to subject. This semester, our department has a higher pass percentage than usual. Our college has a really good overall pass percentage, though I can't tell the exact number.
Other: Honestly, it isn’t my first choice, but I’m trying my best to learn from it and figure out what I really want to do. The best thing is that we can design and build infrastructures, we can see results of our work in the real world and not just in designs. I wish the course included more practical sessions, that’s the only thing I feel is lacking. Events are average, and our college doesn’t promote extracurricular activities that much.

Good college. Focuses more on studies and less on extra activities.
Placements: I was in civil engineering department. Civil placements are very less. More placements for computer Science engineers and electrical and electronics. I got placed at Allianz services which is not a civil company. They have to improve placement options for civil and mechanical departments.
Infrastructure: Good infrastructure. There is verity of options. Classrooms have smart boards and each floor has washrooms. Good lab facilities. There is 2 canteens. One is like a cafeteria. Stages are there for functions. I have heard the hostels are also pretty good. Library and all facilities are present.
Faculty: Faculty is helping to an extent. I think according to department faculty vary. I have found civil department facilities are not so helpful compared to other departments. Teachers teach each subject with efficiency. Academic point of view they are all good.
Other: Good crowd.

Our college provides good placements.
Placements: Around 40% of students get placed in our batch in various companies. Infosys, IBS, H&R block, Autoban, Byjus, etc., are different recruiting companies. The average salary package offered is 3 LPA.
Infrastructure: Our college is fulfilled with sufficient resources, facilities, infrastructure, etc. Every classroom contains fans, lights, and a projector. The computer lab is air-conditioned with good computer hardware and software facilities. Photocopy stations, print stations, and internet access stations are provided in the library.
Faculty: The majority of the teachers in our college are helpful, qualified, and knowledgeable. Teaching quality and capability are very good. The course curriculum is relevant and makes students industry-ready.
Other: Some teachers are helpful in conducting technical festivals, arts, sports, and cultural festivals.
