Absolutely satisfied with college life.
Placements: Around 30% of students are placed. The highest package is around 4 LPA - 5 LPA. The lowest package is 1 LPA. The median package ranges from 3 LPA - 4 LPA. Top recruiting companies are Tata Consultancy Services (TCS), Cognizant, Sutherland, etc.
Infrastructure: College has Wi-Fi facilities. It has a good library with large number of books. Classrooms are okay and labs are average but some devices are not good. Computer labs are good and have new computers. College hostel is good but not every student gets admission there. The majority have to look for private hostels.
Faculty: Teachers are knowledgeable, helpful, and well-qualified. Most of the teachers are very good at teaching. We have a new curriculum this year which is better than the last curriculum. The curriculum is getting improved. Exams are tough. My seniors have a pass percentage of 65%.

Good college, nice faculties, and atmosphere, but have street dogs roaming around the college.
Placements: There are companies coming to our college for placements; however, our college is quite new compared to other government engineering colleges, so the number of companies is low. The college is giving us information about all the placements happening in different companies like L&T, Technook, Walkaroo, etc. The average package is around 1.5 LPA minimum to 24 LPA maximum.
Infrastructure: There are different schemes in our college, which are updated every 4 years periodically. I am a student of the 2021 batch 2019 scheme. Our scheme covers the bases of both electrical engineering and electronics engineering. Yet the syllabus is not that updated. But that problem has been solved by improving it in the Next scheme. For us, they provide additional courses to balance our studies. The college has a wide Wi-Fi system that is available to use in labs, offices, etc. There are collected hostels providing a neat atmosphere for students to study and mingle and also tasty food.
Faculty: There are 3 exams in one semester, including 2 series exams and 1 semester exam. The exams are quite feasible for a student who covers portions regularly, and it is possible to pass the exam if you study before the semester exam. The teachers here are very helpful, encourage us to study, and promote asking questions. The syllabus is not that vast, but it contains all the necessary studies about EEE.

I am satisfied with this college and its infrastructure and placements.
Placements: About 50% of students got placed in our college. The highest salary package offered is 12 LPA. Top recruiting companies are TCS, Infosys, Ola, etc. Internships are based on students' skills. Many students got internships from our college.
Infrastructure: Talking about the infrastructure, the electrical department has its block. Now, the course has been NBA-accredited. Lab facilities are top-level. We have got our library. When it comes to hostels, the food is very nice. Sports are very good in our college.
Faculty: Our faculty members are highly educated. Their teaching methods are very impressive. They clarify all our doubts. Our course makes students industry-ready, so students can get placements immediately after studying. Semester exams are moderately difficult. The pass percentage is 80%.
Other: The best thing about this course is that it is not very difficult. It is very important in our daily lives. It is very easy to get placements in this course. Events are nice. Students will get a lot of scholarships if they are eligible. Our college life is very good.

Government engineering college Palakkad.
Placements: In my department, only 10% of students are placed. However, in other departments like IT and CS, more than 60% of students are placed. The highest package in my department is 7 LPA, and the lowest package is 4 LPA. Siemens, TCS, and IPA are the main recruiting companies in my college.
Infrastructure: In my college, mainly two libraries are available: the central library and the department library. Main technical-related books are available in each library. Wi-Fi is available all over the campus. In the hostel, only 150 vacancies are available in both the men's and ladies' hostels.
Faculty: Very experienced faculty members are available on my campus. They help with our project and academic-related activities. The course curriculum is based on APJ Abdul Kalam University's instructions. Semester exams are simple, with more time, and the class percentage is more than 70%.

GECP: A good college situated in a calm and quiet place which enhances our concentration level.
Placements: About 20% of the students who excel in both theoretical and practical knowledge get placed in good companies. The highest package offered was 2 Lacs per month and the lowest was 30k per month. Top recruiting companies include almost all the best government authorised companies like Philips. Internships are offered to almost all the students who have an SGPA of above 9 in the previous semester exams. Top roles offered in the electrical course include a variety of roles such as electrical engineer in public sectors.
Infrastructure: The course of Electrical and Electronics Engineering offers a wide variety of job opportunities for the students. The campus in GECP is very vast which expands over 40 acres. The classrooms are well occupied with about 66 students in EEE class and Ph.D. faculty who are ready to clear all our doubts regarding the subjects. The quality of accommodation and food in the GECP ladies and men’s hostel is top notch unlike the other government college hostels. They even provide mess cuts. Hence, they are very affordable. There is also a medical room in the college with fully available staff. The sports department offers a wide range of tournaments to showcase our sports talent.
Faculty: The teachers are really helpful in clearing out doubts, as all of them are Ph.D. qualified. Their teaching quality is really good both in theoretical and in practicals. This course is curriculum relevant as engineers are inevitable for our society. The semester exams are pretty tough as they really want to make sure we have a thorough understanding of what we are studying. The passing percentage is about 50% in GECP.
Other: I chose this course due to my enthusiasm and determination of becoming an electrical engineer. There is absolutely nothing I wish to improve in this course as this course is perfect till date for those who wish to serve the society as engineers. There is a wide variety of events in GECP such as INVENTO which is the biggest Teach Fest of KTU where millions of tech freaks gather to showcase their technical knowledge. DAKSHA, the Arts Day lasts for a week to express our cultural talents. Other major festivals like Onam, Christmas and Eid are also celebrated. GECP also provides opportunities for qualified students to claim many scholarships to cover their course fees.
