Excellent clinical exposure at an affordable government medical college.
Placements: For MBBS, conventional campus placements are not applicable. After completing the course and internship, students generally pursue NEET PG, government Medical Officer jobs, or private clinical practice. The compulsory internship is conducted mainly through the college's affiliated teaching hospital and associated healthcare facilities. The internship provides good exposure to medicine, surgery, pediatrics, obstetrics and gynecology, emergency care, and other clinical departments. Common career roles after MBBS include Medical Officer, Junior Resident, and postgraduate trainee.
Infrastructure: The college has good clinical infrastructure with well-equipped departments. It also has lecture theatres, laboratories, library facilities, Wi-Fi connectivity, and access to a large teaching hospital. The hospital provides excellent patient exposure because of its high patient load. Hostel facilities are functional and reasonably adequate for students. Mess food is average and can be improved in terms of variety and quality. Sports and extracurricular facilities are available, while medical facilities are easily accessible because of the attached teaching hospital.
Faculty: Faculty members are generally well-qualified and experienced, particularly in the clinical departments. The teaching quality is good overall, with the major advantage being regular bedside clinical exposure and learning from real patients. The MBBS curriculum is relevant. It provides a strong foundation for clinical practice and NEET PG preparation. University examinations require consistent preparation and clinical understanding. Internal assessment and practical or clinical examinations are important for passing.
Other: A government medical college provides excellent value for money. The tuition fees are comparatively low. Students receive extensive clinical exposure. They also have access to a major teaching hospital. The academic and clinical opportunities are strong compared with the overall cost.

A brief introduction about GMC, Surat.
Placements: As we all know, MBBS is a professional course. In our country, India, to be a doctor is a very respectable job. As this college is a government medical college, everyone has to do an internship here only, and you will get a good stipend. Then you will be getting a job in primary health care.
Infrastructure: The college building is new, so there are no concerns about the college infrastructure. The classrooms are also too well and give you a proper vibe of a medical college. The good thing is that you will get AC and Wi-Fi facilities in the college's classrooms.
Faculty: All the departments in the first year of MBBS are good. But, as we all know, MBBS is a very tough course, so you have to do a lot of self-studying as well. The exam can feel a bit difficult, and also, as it's a professional course, you have to score at least 50%.

College is satisfied and good placements for the 2026 batches with new infrastructure.
Placements: After completion of MBBS, for PG residence, 1 lakh per year and as RMO, 80K per month is provided. Course duration is 4.5 years + an internship of 1 year. Top roles are for the medicine and paediatrics subjects. The highest package for a private hospital is 60 Lacs/year.
Infrastructure: Hostels are new and very neat and clean, and the college building for lectures is also good, but the practical labs are not so good. Hostel providing tables and beds 2 in a room. Mess and canteen are also good. New infrastructure is being developed for practical labs, but it is not completed. From batch 105, the Government provided well-conditioned instruments and also 1200 beds hospital, 1 batch has 250 students.
Faculty: Faculty are good, but the curriculum is based on competency and is more clinical. If a student covers all competencies, he or she will be a better performing doctor. In that branch, attendance and internal also matter for clear university exams. There are 3 years of 1 year and a final year of 1.5 years, in which clinical posting starts from the 2nd year. Nowadays, in the PG exam, the PSM subject matters for good scoring.
Other: There are other programmes also taking place, like Eucrasia and the freshers. Scholarships are provided by the government, and private organisations also provide.

One of best colleges in Gujarat.
Placements: Placements are very good although there won't be any direct placements. Since there is a good alumni network and college reputation, you will be preferred. Also, there would be 1 year of internship offered by the college itself. You should not be worried about the placements.
Infrastructure: The infrastructure is very much good. Since there is new construction of the classroom, labs, etc. The hostel is almost prepared and has good facilities. There is Wi-Fi in the lecture hall. Canteen is pretty good while for mess there are many options. There are many options for mess and they are quite affordable with decent quality of food.
Faculty: Faculty members are very much experienced and have pretty good knowledge about the course. Most of them are from the same college itself. The curriculum followed is updated from time to time. The exams are conducted from time to time with many class tests to prepare you for the university exams.
