Review of Government Victoria College.
Placements: There were no placement cells or job recruitment agencies. Most of them go for higher studies. There are some other options also other than teaching. This course provides opportunities in genetics, tissue culture, biotechnology, and other laboratory work. Forestry, Botanical gardens, and agriculture are other fields of work. Higher studies and research in this field are also quite interesting.
Infrastructure: There is access to library with books collection from national to international levels. Highly sophisticated laboratory with various machines, instruments, and tools. Digital classrooms make learning easier. The campus has free Wi-Fi. Hostel facilities are good. Homely meals with varieties of dishes. Mess is neat. Medical facilities are provided in case of emergency. There is a badminton, handball and volleyball court.
Faculty: All the teachers are highly professional, skilled, and knowledgeable with several years of experience. Semester exams are not that difficult. One can easily crack it with proper follow-up. Around 50% is the pass percentage.
Other: Campus is lively with many events, fests, arts, TV programs, etc. I loved the subject of Biology and so chose botany from the 11th standard. The course should go parallel with the development of science and technology. Conventional topics should be removed and more advanced topics should be added.
