On Fees and Eligibility
Q:   Can I get admission to BTech Electronical Engineering in GNIOT Noida, if my rank is between 420000 and 425000?
A:

For last year, the closing rank for BTech in Electrical Engineering was 422516 which is very close to this range. This was for the General category under the All India quota. Unless the candidate belongs to some other category or domicile, one cannot afford to score less than this. With this rank, there is a probability of getting admission however since, the cutoffs keep changing year on year, it is advisable to try to score better ranks to increase your chances of getting admission to Greater Noida Institute of Technology.

Q:   Are CAT cut offs announced along with the CAT result?
A:

CAT cutoffs are usually not announced with the CAT result. The CAT cutoffs are also not released to the public.

They are published after a few days of the result announcement when the IIMs and other colleges start their shortlisting process. The IIMs opens their shortlisting window based on the CAT cut-offs two to three days after the result announcement. The CAT percentile of candidates shortlisted for the Written Ability Test (WAT), Group Discussion (GD), and Personal Interview (PI) can be considered the cut-off for that IIM. For example, if a candidate with a CAT percentile of 99 belonging to the General category is selected for the WAT/GD-PI of IIM Calcutta, then the CAT cut-off for IIM Calcutta is 99 percentile. Only those candidates who make it to the WAT/GD-PI round of IIMs will get to know the cut-offs.

GNIOT offers a good campus, supportive faculty, and average placement opportunities.
Placements: GNIOT has an active placement cell that invites many companies yearly. In recent drives, over 300-400 recruiters visited, with around 700+ students placed across programs. The highest salary has gone up to around 70 LPA (international) and domestic packages around 27 LPA, while the average package is around 6-7 LPA. Top recruiters include TCS, Infosys, Wipro, HP, Cognizant, and many more, offering roles in IT, management, finance, and analytics.
Infrastructure: GNIOT has a large, modern campus with AC classrooms, smart boards, labs for all departments, and a big library with thousands of books and e-resources. There are separate hostels for boys and girls, sports grounds, an auditorium, cafeteria, medical facilities, Wi-Fi, and transport services. Overall, good infrastructure for study and campus life.
Faculty: GNIOT has experienced faculty across engineering, management, and computer Science departments, with industry exposure and academic support. The institute regularly issues exam circulars and schedules for class tests, semester exams, admit cards, practicals, and exam form deadlines on its official portals, so students stay updated with timelines and guidelines each session. Really good.
Other: GNIOT is a well-known institute in Greater Noida with a good campus, decent infrastructure, and supportive faculty. It offers various technical and management courses. Placements are average, but the overall learning environment is positive for students.

Let's talk about GNIOT Greater Noida.
Placements: College history on a placement basis is not that great, placements are just average. Almost 80% students are placed, but all those are mass recruitment companies taking students on packages of 3-5 LPA. For placements, you have to work hard and try on your own if you need better.
Infrastructure: The college area is not that vast, but the infrastructure is good. Classes are equipped with AC and smart projectors. Hostel facility is also available. Three canteens are in the college. Sports facilities are also available in the college. The college is also equipped with a music room. Which is in gips.
Faculty: Faculty is a really hard-working and good they work with the students and makes them understand each and every topic. As it's my first year, the faculty members I have are really hardworking and good. As it is affiliated with AKTU, the exams are conducted by AKTU only.
Other: The number of fests organised by the college is very low, as a limited number of events are organised compared to other colleges.

The GNIOT College, the only way to success for you.
Placements: The passing out batch has got a very great placement in various companies with a good package. The average package is around 600,000-700,000. Companies like Zomato, Tata, and Boast come to campus. The college even provides internships and hackathons with great prize money.
Infrastructure: Talking honestly, it is not worth it. The building is old, the food is not tasty, the Wi-Fi network is poor, and the hostel timings are very strict. The price is quite high. You can get non-campus hostels or PGs at a cheaper rate with more facilities and fewer rules and regulations.
Faculty: Some teachers can't complete the syllabus on time. The exams are conducted very properly and in a timely manner. The exams are neither difficult nor easy; if you have studied, it's easy, or you'll get lost. Our college provides special training to make you market-ready.
Other: The events here are crazy, on a next level. GNIOT conducts many competitions regularly in the college, which is a very good thing.

Review of Greater Noida Institute of Technology.
Placements: Usually, there is no discussion about the placement ratio. Teachers just informed us that most of students did not get any placement due to a lack of skills and knowledge. Most of them get rejected in companies' aptitude tests, but the college mentioned on their website that the highest package offered is 70 LPA. The average package offered is 7.5 LPA.
Infrastructure: According to me, the infrastructure is okay. Wi-Fi is good and has a speed of more than 100 Mbps. Every class has its own Wi-Fi network. The institution also has a particular Wi-Fi. The library is good, but they don't have as many books as they mentioned on the website. However, it can be managed. Hostel food is average according to my friends and me.
Faculty: Teachers are helpful and qualified. They also have knowledge according to their allotted subject. According to me, they don't focus on making students industry-ready. They just want us to be good in Physics, Maths, and some other subjects. According to me, there is no discussion about soft skills like conversation and communication. Semester exams are moderate, and we can even clear them just by reading the day before exams.
Other: I got this college through AKTU counselling, so I chose it. But most of my friends have taken direct admission. Many classrooms need an upgrade in technology.

Good college to learn and improve.
Placements: In my college, not many students got a placement. The percentage of students who got placed in my course in 2025 is 40 to 60 percent. Top recruiting companies are TCS, Wipro, Cognizant, HP, and Capgemini, but not many placements are offered. The highest salary package offered is 4 LPA, and the lowest package is 2.4 LPA. The top roles offered by the companies are Software Trainees.
Infrastructure: Infrastructure is average but decent, still needs more improvement. Wi-Fi is not always available for students, labs are decent in every classroom. Everything works fine, but they need better bathroom facilities. Some buildings are really old but strong.
Faculty: Some teachers are very helpful but some teachers do not care if students do anything wrong. The courses provided here do not make students industry-ready, but with Uttar Pradesh scheme, we are ready with office skills and courses like data entry operator, and office executive. The passing percentage of GNIOT College is 90 percent, which is quite good, according to me.
Other: I chose this course because I wanted to study B.Tech Engineering and GNIOT is the only private college in the city that provides this course in English. Anyone can get a scholarship if they scored more than 85 percent, so thats a good scheme provided by the government and the college. Extracurricular activities included basketball, volleyball, khokho, cricket, etc.

Overall, the college is supportive and good.
Placements: 50 to 60 percent of students get placed in this college. Placements are a little bit low as compared to other colleges, but fair compared to more colleges in Greater Noida. The highest package is 20 LPA, and the average package ranges from 3-4 LPA. 30-40 percent of students got internships.
Infrastructure: Our college infrastructure is very good and world-class. All facilities are provided in the college. The mess provides good food and meals. The hostel facility is also good. All major sports facilities are provided. All games are also available.
Faculty: As the college is affiliated with AKTU, the semester exams are of mid-level, not too tough, and much easier. The course curriculum is relevant, and it makes students industry-ready. The pass percentage is approximately 85 percent. Teachers are very helpful, supportive, and highly educated.
Other: Events are happening in the college. It conducts scholarships and extracurricular activities.
