On NCHMCT JEE Cutoffs

A:

GNIHM Kolkata has released its Round 1 seat allotment list with a cutoff rank of 5545 for B.Sc. in Hospitality and Hotel Administration. As per the previous year trends, it is possible to get into GNIHM Kolkata with a percentile of 70%. But your chances of being admitted to GNIHM Kolkata for a B.Sc. programme are moderate to good with an NCHMCT JEE percentile score of 75, depending on the following variables:

The minimum NCHMCT JEE percentile requirements for general category candidates are 50 or higher for B.Sc. in Hospitality and Hotel Administration at GNIHM Kolkata. You so easily meet the general category limit for both programs with a 75 percentile score.
Nevertheless, the quantity of candidates with high scores and the level of competition also influence the final admission cutoffs.

It is a good college. If anyone comes to this college, I highly recommend it.
Placements: 90% of students got placed. The salary package is 4 LPA - 5 LPA. Top recruiters are Taj, Oberoi, The Leela, Ritz-Carlton, The Park, ITC, etc. 70% of students got internships. Top roles offered are cooking, F&B service, hospitality, housekeeping, front, HR, and sales. The best college role in my college is very departmental, like hospitality service.
Infrastructure: AC, Wi-Fi, light, advanced classrooms, and computer labs are available. Medical facilities exist, and there are many sports grounds. The food is good, and we have a large green campus and playground. Good maintenance of events, cultural programs, and many more things.
Faculty: The teaching quality is very good. Teachers are very helpful and friendly. There are many seminars, and I also have IET training programs that make the students industry-ready. The semester exam in this college is not tough. It's basically normal, and the pass percentage is 85%.
Other: I chose this course because I think it will give me the best opportunity in my career. That's why I chose this course, and the best thing about our course is the practical classes. I wish there were better improvements in the practical classes. There are many events and festivals, including an international food festival, and many more events like that.

My college is very good. If a student really wants to study they can take admission at this college.
Placements: Our batch has 30 students. All my batchmates are very good. All batches got internship training in other states hotels. In our college, top companies visit for excellent students to join their company. Our college also provides placements to big companies who come to our college.
Infrastructure: Infrastructure of the college is very neat and clean. Labs are very clean, classrooms have smart classes, and library is also very clean and creative. Quality of food in mess is good. It is not like tasty food but home made food is easy to eat. Canteen is also clean. Our college has medical facilities which work students' hours. Every year our college participates in sports events and all sports are conducted.
Faculty: Teachers are highly qualified. Their style of teaching is very neat and clean. They always help students with their problems. This course curriculum is relevant because their teachers always stand with students. They support students for industry-ready.
Other: I chose this course because my father wants to join the hotel industry. But this course is good and we have to learn about discipline, time management, etc. Our college also has events and fests like Amalgam, etc.

The college should be more developed.
Placements: Placements at the institute are not that bad. I don't know the exact details, but I have heard that placements in the college are not very good. The college needs to improve its placements for students. But, there are both national and international placements.
Infrastructure: The hostel food is very unhygienic and of poor quality. There are bacteria and other issues in the food, making it not worth eating. It contains excess spices and oil. We always get complaints from students that the food is very bad, oily, and not worth eating. There is no one eats it.
Faculty: Teachers are very friendly in our institute. Almost all teachers are good at communication and teaching, and they are quite friendly. They take classes regularly, teach well, and also conduct practical sessions. All teachers are well-educated and pay attention to students.
Other: It is a short-term course, that’s why I chose it.

The college is great overall and thus it is one of the best in West Bengal.
Placements: My batch is still in the middle of the course and we will pass out in 2025. Basically, the top recruiting companies that come to our college are many, like Oberoi, Taj, Leela, Hilton and many more foreign brands with foreign postings with a good package.
Infrastructure: In facilities, we have labs for all the courses as well as for all the departments: 4 labs for food production, 4 labs for food and beverages, 1 lab and 1 suited room, 1 twin bedroom for the housekeeping lab and 2 rooms for front office practical. We have a library but its not a public library. WiFi is available only for computer labs. The facilities of the hostel are not that good, as the public washrooms are mostly dirty, foods are sometimes not good, and rooms are spacious but have only single fans. We don't have any medical facilities as such, and yes for sports, we have good facilities like a badminton court and a ground for all the outdoor games.
Faculty: Faculty members are the best part of our college; they are very supportive and help us in every aspect, especially the students. They give their best to push us to another extent and learn new things. Our faculty members are highly qualified. The teaching quality is also top-notch. Yes, this course is curriculum-relevant. Yes, this makes the students industry-ready. Semester exams are not that difficult in the college. Questions are kept easy to medium level yet sometimes they get hard but it is not a big deal to score good marks if one has studied and has the basics cleared.
Other: I chose this course because I wanted to pursue my career in hotel management and this is the best course one can have. My main motive is to study the entire hotel, not just a single department, although my area of interest is kitchen. Things they could improve in this course is to increase the number of practicals and eliminate those subjects which are irrelevant to the course, such as " geographical studies " and " introduction to cultural studies." Events and activities are okay but it should not hamper the academics of the students; they mustn't engage themselves 20 days of a month in a particular event. That should be reduced totally.

It is the best college with the best faculty members and amenities.
Placements: All our seniors got placed in 5-star properties like Westin, Taj, Le Meridian, and Nike. I got placed in Westin Hyderabad with a salary package of 3.6 LPA with additional benefits, but I decided to continue my studies as I wanted to start a business later.
Infrastructure: Wi-Fi, computer labs, hands-on practical food production, front office, F&B service, and housekeeping lab to give live experiences to the students. There are separate hostels for girls and boys on and outside the campus. Food is served 4 times a day.
Faculty: Teachers in our college are knowledgeable. They clear all the doubts of the students. They provide online and offline materials to students. Practical classes and casual training are provided in the five-star properties to make students industry ready.
Other: Our college provided placements to students at an affordable fee structure.

My experience and review of my college .
Placements: The placement opportunities here are pretty decent compared to other colleges. The college provides guidance on career choices and helps students choose the path to success they've always dreamed of.
Infrastructure: The facilities provided by the college are pretty decent but could have been better considering the huge amount of money they charge students. The infrastructure is also pretty okay.
Faculty: The college has a mixed bag of faculty, some of whom are very helpful and provide good guidance. However, there are also some faculty who are not at all helpful and will be a waste of time. On the plus side, the faculty are very knowledgeable and do a good job of preparing students for the industry.
Other: The entrance exam is free, the location is easily accessible, the facilities are top-notch, and the faculty are knowledgeable and supportive.
