College is good if it takes the place of 4 to 5LPA gives a good roi and a life away from the city.
Placements: 50 to 60 percent of students in my department. The average salary offered is 4 to 5LPA. The top recruiters are Infosys Accenture, LTIMINDTREE Capgemini etc. Students can apply for government internships and internships given by the college. Most of the companies are coming here to tech based and have a good opportunity to get placed in core jobs because many core industries are available in the Haldia town.
Infrastructure: Infrastructure of the college is nearly average with all labs with AC but majority of lecture classes have no AC facility and there is no Wi-Fi on the campus except for the jionet which has a 34mb limit. In terms of hostels hostels are allotted only to first year students and remaining year students can opt for nearby PG or flat. Hostel infrastructure is okay with average food quality and repetitive food.
Faculty: Faculty of this college is good. The majority of faculty members are M.Tech holders and a few are Ph.D. holders. The course curriculum is just relevant but not more. Semester exam is going at a medium level and the passing percentage is high.
Other: I prefer this course for more placement opportunities as the IT industry is more relevant in today's world. There are no fest after 2023. There are some NSS activities going on all year. There are many workshops done by the different clubs which are mainly paid workshops.

If you are looking for a good college, you can check this college out.
Placements: IT course here is NBA accredited and it is quite good. Last year, 92 percent of students were placed in IT. 4 or 5 of them cracked about 19 LPA from the on-campus. Top recruiters are Cognizant, Infosys, and TCS. 98 percent of students got internships here.
Infrastructure: Hostels are quite good. I was wondering about the food but it is still quite good. I am in P5 currently and it is quiet. We have big playgrounds to play in, and we can play volleyball, cricket, and badminton inside the hostel itself. You can play some other sports too. But the out and in time is 7.30 PM.
Faculty: The exams are up to the mark, no comment on them. It is highly relevant, and teachers help us very much. They personally guide us to be better. They not only teach us but give us life lessons. All teachers are not that up to the mark but you will find one who will stick with you forever.

Haldia Institute of Technology is good college for study and placement.
Placements: Good placement review this year. The highest package goes 75 LPA off-campus, and on campus goes 35 LPA. The college is really good. Placement rate is 90 percent so I recommend this college. This college campus invites good companies like Capgemini, TCS, and Jio.
Infrastructure: The facilities of this college are good. Hostel is good. It provides all things like Wi-Fi vision and bed. But mess lunch and dinner taste like very bad. In hostel, all equipments are there to play games.
Faculty: Teacher is helpful and good. They help all students, and the teaching quality is very good. They teach very well in class. The class is very good. Semester exams are difficult but faculty helps students very well during semester examination. All courses are available in this college. The faculty teaches well, and helps students with all courses.
Other: I chose course computer science engineering with specialisation artificial intelligence and machine learning.

Good academic facilities and supportive teachers. Hostel and industry-readiness need improvement.
Placements: In my batch, the placement performance was impressive. Around 89 percent of students got placed successfully. The highest package offered is 10 LPA, while the lowest package stood at 3 LPA, and the average package is about 5 LPA. Some of the top recruiting companies include Capgemini, Cognizant, and Wipro, along with several other reputable organizations. Nearly 80 percent of students secured internships from different companies in the IT and software domains. The top roles offered in our course are mainly software developer, analyst, and IT support engineer reflecting strong industry relevance and opportunities in the tech sector.
Infrastructure: Our department offers good facilities and infrastructure to support learning. There are multiple well-equipped labs in each department, along with full-time library access and campus-wide Wi-Fi, which helps students study and complete projects easily. Classrooms are decent and provide a comfortable learning environment. However, the hostel facilities are not satisfactory. The hostel is not well-maintained, and students often face cleanliness and maintenance issues. The mess food quality is very poor, which becomes a major concern for hostel students. While academic facilities are strong and supportive, the living facilities, especially the hostel and food services, need significant improvement.
Faculty: The teachers are well-qualified, knowledgeable, and very helpful to students. They are supportive and maintain a good learning environment. The course curriculum is somewhat relevant, but it does not make students industry-ready, so additional learning is required. The semester exams are not very difficult, and the pass percentage is quite high as most students can clear them with consistent preparation.

If you have the option to admission only in tier 3 college then you may choose this college.
Placements: I am a 2nd year student of this college. I am happy because I am pursuing information technology in HIT which is one of the best branch in this college, and you may choose this. You feel lonely in 1st year but after that you can enjoy campus life and friends circle.
Infrastructure: College infrastructure is good. It has 37 acres in HIT which is enough for any private college. There are many hostels, and I am living in RBH hostel which is 1.5 KM far from the college. But RBH is separate for only 1st year which is good. I am happy, and you may choose any of these hostels.
Faculty: Faculty members of this college are good. There are three class tests and a final semester exam which happens every semester. 370 faculty members are there, and 4960 students are there. The way of taking the examination is good, and your curriculum is also good.

If you are not getting into a government college then you can go for it.
Placements: All students of my batch got placed. The highest package offered is 10 LPA and the lowest package offered is 2 LPA. If you have skills, you can get a better company like Haldia Petrochemical Limited, Worly, Meghalaya Cement, Alivus Life Science, Sukhjit Starch, and Ellenbeeire.
Infrastructure: The quality of food is okay. Wi-Fi is not available in the library because it is too big. You can have access to all the books you need. Infrastructure is good. My classroom consists of 120 students who are divided into 2 batches. Medical facility is given to all.
Faculty: Teacher is average in this college. Mostly they have done their Masters. Teaching quality is average. The course curriculum is according to a new pattern which is helpful for the students. Passing the semester exam is way too easy. You can just heat and pass.
