Students can get into IIIT Bhopal with any percentage in 10th or 12th, there is no specific percentage criteria is mentioned by the authorities to be eligible for GATE exam. However, candidates must have secured at least 60% marks in aggregate or 6.5 CGPA on a 10-point scale (55% marks or 6.0 CGPA on a 10-point scale in case of SC/ ST) in (i) BSc / BSc (Hons) / BCA / BIT of minimum three years full-time with Mathematics/Statistics/Equivalent subject as one of the subjects from a recognized University.

• SC/ST candidates must have secured at least 55% marks in aggregate or 6.5 CGPA on a 10-point scale in (i) BSc/BSc (Hons)/BCA/BIT of minimum 3 years full-time with Mathematics/Statistics/Equivalent subject as one of the subjects from a recognised University.

The maximum cutoff rank required in 2025 for admission to B.Tech. in CSE was 48300 at IIIT Bhopal for the students belonging to the General AI quota. According to the final round, the most competitive BTech specialisation was BTech CSE, with the last round cutoff of 182780.  IIIT Bhopal JEE Main cutoff 2025 was released for admission to various BTech course specialisations for multiple All India categories. 

For the General AI category, the overall cutoff ranged from 24300 to 59459. According to the last round, the most competitive specialisation was BTech in Computer Science and Engineering (Artificial Intelligence) course.
